It depends on which game is getting a remake, really.A 10-15 hour new IP game and yet another remaster. Not very enticing honestly. I remember a time only a few years ago when remakes and remasters were seen as filler and not something to fawn over.
I'm glad your kind is dying off. Bring on the remakes.A 10-15 hour new IP game and yet another remaster. Not very enticing honestly. I remember a time only a few years ago when remakes and remasters were seen as filler and not something to fawn over.
I was just thinking about that, or mostly what Miyazaki thinks about it. He seems very fond of Bloodborne, but reading between the lines when he commented on Demon’s Souls being remade I think he has faith in Bluepoint.Curious if BB diehards is ok with BB2 not being handled by From and Miyazaki. Bluepoint is great, but at the end of the day they're expertise lies in remasters and remakes.
I'm fine with it, Miyazaki's games are all samey, maybe we can get a different perspective. BB is the only game really that feels quite different, I guess Sekiro too, but I hated Sekiro. Sadly Elden Ring still looks like just another Souls game with a different format. I don't think he can do anything else really.Curious if BB diehards is ok with BB2 not being handled by From and Miyazaki. I mean, evidently he can do something else: Sekiro won GOTY.I'm fine with it, Miyazaki's games are all samey, maybe we can get a different perspective. imo doesn't make sense to waste bluepoint resources on game from ps4 era, bloodborne need 60fps patch and increase in resolution thats all, not full remake on new engine from what is Bluepoint knownBloodborne would make a lot of sense.

But yeah, I agree, Sekiro is not really ”my” From Software. It’s good, but not as good as Souls and Bloodborne.
I don't think BP is going to do Bloodborne 2. They said an original game didn't they, I don't think its a sequel.
Bloodborne 2 from BluePoint wouldn't be Bloodborne 2. I welcome their remaster of Bloodborne 1 with open arms, however. And whatever else they want to create.
But that Tweet they sent out, teasing a bunch of remakes, is starting to look like it was in bad taste.
That dude seems completely clueless, I almost feel bad for him.One dishonorable mention to HipHopGamer.
"Remaster Engine"
That will be a true test, to be sure. For me, I'm curious if Bluepoint has the talents when it comes to creature designs. That's one area that From is just awesome at.
It's coming out in 2023, between Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine.Ugh, this Bloodborne remake better come out in 2022. Tired of Sony delaying it.
I hope its a prequel thats based on the vilebloods and forsaken castle cainhurst, martyr logarius, ect. not just another night in the same areas of yharnam.I mean they did flat out say they're working on an original IP, and this statement sounded intentional as if they wanted to tell everyone their next project is not a remake.
My money is on a Bloodborne sequel.
By the time some of us get PS5's, we are going to be unleashed on the craziest lineup of games ever. Miles Morales, Spider-Man 2, Demons Souls, Bloodborne, Horizon 2, God of War: R. I mean, can you imagine bringing all those home for the first time at once? It's coming out in 2023, between Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine.
All they said was "original content" not a new IP.I mean they did flat out say they're working on an original IP
All they said was "original content" not a new IP.
I'll definitely take them giving it a shot over the alternative - no one makes another Bloodborne.Curious if BB diehards is ok with BB2 not being handled by From and Miyazaki. Bluepoint is great, but at the end of the day their expertise lies in remasters and remakes.
no shit budok....but that could still mean that bud.
ok....but that could still mean that bud. They also didn't say they were working on a sequel either to an existing IP.
no shit bud.The term "original" literally would mean the origin is starting from them, THEY originally are making something, as in it didn't exist prior.
ok....If someone can debate such a thing, I feel it means its not this 100% "not new IP" as I don't know how anyone gets that from the term "original"
no shit bud
ok....but that could still mean that bud.
no shit bud.
ok....
yet state this..."Original content" does not mean a new IP.
lolJust means new stuff
lol you stated no shit yet you literally stated
yet state this...
lol
Did you just forget that the "new stuff" could fucking be a new IP?
They should definitely grow Bluepoint. That team ported, remastered, and made altogether 6 games in 8 years with such a small team and makes me wonder what they could do if they were the size of Sony's bigger studios. The only thing that worries me is how a rapid expansion of the studio could mess up the flow of the team. That makes sense actually.
Personally, I'd grow Bluepoint significantly. House at least 3 teams in there: one for original IP, one for simple remasters and porting of older games to PS4/PS5 with trophy support and modern controls (R&C, God of War, Sly Cooper, etc.), and one for bigger remakes (SoTC, Demon's Souls, etc.).
- Bluepoint specializes in remakes and remasters. No point in acquiring them and then not using them to remakes games -- the very thing they specialize in.
- Bluepoint wants to do an original game / IP. Give them a chance so they can realize their ambitions as well.
That way, we will have one release from them pretty much every year.
Bro ... "rectangle" doesn't mean a square.
Just means a rectangle.
Could still be a square too bud.
What people are saying about it btw goes back to what Nibel said
Agreed.
Its unknown whether its a new IP or a reboot or a continuation of a existing with some new idea they deem "original" etc.
I have no clue where this whole "does not mean not new IP" came from.
People are saying they do not believe its a new IP though BP has wanted to do a game they are sitting on
This could be it but general thought is the new game is coming after these 2 current projects
The only thing that worries me is how a rapid expansion of the studio could mess up the flow of the team.
Yes.smh
by your own fucking post, you state it means new stuff and
No I didn't.then pretend that new stuff could not be a new IP.
Duh.No where in the fucking term "original" does it limit such a thing to only established concepts, already made and or continuing on to something that was made previously.
I'm not. You're imagining things. Its why you are having such a hard fucking time with this =)
Bloodborne Remastered AND Bloodborne 2
