Seriously, it's a disappointment, the game sucks like fifa 22, it's been years since football games stagnate : between dated animations, poor ball physics, stupid i.a, graphics that have trouble convincing you that you're not on PS3/360 era anymore...
Frankly, it doesn't make you want to play it at all.

In the UK in people are born into supporting a football team and blindy follow their peers etc without stopping and making a conscious choice on which sport to watch.

Also I don't think the FA, FIFA or EUFA are even trying to do 'something right' with regards to how the game is played or distributed to the masses. It's stuck in the dark ages but the brand of football is so strong the don't have to try.

Kinda like Nintendo now I think of it.

Anyway, don't want to derail the thread and so I'll stop now.

You could say the same about Americans with Am. Football, Basketball, Baseball. Football is the biggest sport in the world, not just the UK.

I totally agree with the sentiment of this. But you made me think of a potential upside with this model. Presumably and team you build up will persist regardless of year, whereas the annual release model reset everything (I think)

But yeah the MTX model in general is killing experiences I really valued. PS2 era was great, we got multiple GTA games and quality PES games each year.... now this.

Game publishers are in a race to appeal to the masses instead of hardcore gamers. They most likely don't even care or expect much from the console versions and are only porting it there because of their legacy.

This trailer is unintentionally very hilarious to me. It feels like a childhood fever dream.

I feel like I'm 10 years old, on holiday in Spain and I just woke up from an afternoon nap in the hotel room. Look, something absolutely had to change. They were killed by FIFA, the franchise was on its deathbed. I get going F2P if they think it's necessary.

But taking two years... and THIS is what they've produced? 9 teams? No single player modes? Worse graphics than before?

I mean, what the fuck did they spend the time on? They've produced a fucking demo and called it a game. And it took two years?!?

Had they used the two years to create a real next-gen football experience with a proper amount of teams I could have forgiven the F2P stuff. Had they made a next-gen $60 game I could have forgiven some missing features.

But this...? This is just lower than the lowest bar I could have ever possibly imagined, even for the PES team who have proven themselves incompetent time and again. The series is truly dead.

Tbf they run the franchise to the ground. Pes was king until 2007. The transition to ps360 was shit. Fifa destroyed them with 09 and they never recovered.

As far as I am aware that is fixable by downloading the option files and installing it to your console or PC which has the corrected team names and badges.

I like sports games. Play career mode pick a team, build a franchise, play with sliders make the game like a real full season…..
This is nothing that I was expecting.

I guess now ea doesn’t need to push his product since there no more competition for a traditional football game… and we all know that there’s no way that ea is going to lose in a battle for mtx.

All the footage looks disgusting… there’s no footplanting … the players are iceskating. The animations look really bad….The way the defenders are behaving is laughable…. The iniesta drible is so painful to see….
