Dont know how i feel about this, i actually thought the game was balanced really well. I adjusted to the game appropiately and it all started with reading and learning the most basic mechanics of items and there functions. another win for the casual/guide my hand crowd or people who never planned on even buying the game to begin with; just drive by shooters. you hate to see it. Im really glad i got to play/platinum/experience the game under the initial vision.

All that being said hats off to housemarque they are very engaged with the fans and critics and no doubt have created a very memorable game deserving of accolades and acclaim. They've also pushed out some patches surprisingly fast for a 'double a' game of this scale *wink*

Praise be if this fixes the 'all house sequences' bug. Please! I'm so close to Platinum and don't want to play the whole thing over again.

With all the patches and how the game is in current state I would say it’s close to perfection for what I have a hard on for. It entered my own top 5 of favourite games ever.

Super glad for Housemarque and I hope they can make another ultra-dark game. I don’t want them to go back to that multiplayer battle royale crap they were planning. I hope the numbers allow them to understand that there’s a player base thirsty for these kind of games.

Nerf alert. Yeah I’m also very curious and no way to check atm. So I’ll be checking the thread instead

Pretty much. But adjustments and balanced could also mean they made it harder. They did make it harder with older updates.

But i guess to many people complained about the difficulty. I think the bosses are still to easy.

That was the most fun part, I always felt I missed some kind of bunny jumping and this was it, now that they remove it I'll stop playing for sure, I mean what is the point of removing this fun mechanic, it's not a competitive online game???

The house is bricked up. I got the car keys and the Act 3 trophy (had to kill the boss a third time to get it though). Yea I'm on the latest patch, was hoping it would fix the issue :(

Yep, got the gold trophy for that, although I should have got it on my 2nd attempt but it didn't pop. Popped on the third.

Sent them a tweet, but it appears quite a few people on Twitter are having issues with that particular trophy! Strange that it isn't fixed. There is a clear way to check if someone doesn't have the trophy based on what they have in their inventory!

I hope they either fix it or enable the trophy with the knowing that you achieved it.

I can confirm that Scout log 35 is no longer missable. In fact it spawned in front of me next to that artifact machine.

I deleted and loaded the save again and it appeared again in the same spot. It could spawn somewhere else in biome 4 but for me it was always the same(did it 5 times).

I didn't notice any changes to the balance in my run through of biome 4 off tops. I'll probably do it again tomorrow from biome 1.

I'm interested to see if 1.4 makes the game any easier. I've wanted to pick this up but I'm not great at action games and didn't want to drop 70 bucks on a game I only see 1/6th of because of the difficulty.

Also don't fret over the difficulty, dive in man theirs a lot of great people in this thread and 'noob' starter you-tube videos for if you feel you get stuck. the game is addicting man its hard to explain it doesn't get repetitive fast at all, even if you die a lot at the start.

So far, i don't feel weapons got nerfed at all. In fact, i do think some are even more op lol.

Doing runs to get some glyphs on crimson wastes and it is ok. Damn that #19 room.

I died in biome 6 trying to get the boss key after being locked in and mobbed when returning to a previously cleared bonus room with a weapon I was just experimenting with. Was. Not. Happy. What is frustrating me now is how much harder merely the first few rooms of biome 4 have become over the difficulty when you were first there, and some runs last mere minutes. Getting back to biome 6 is just proving too tough and I can feel my enthusiasm draining as other games beckon and I feel I likely got my money's worth anyway. If the patch helps with that I'll be happy.

I did play FF14 somewhere around 2016-2018, but I don't remember the name of the server I played on, it might have been adamantoise!

I'll pick up a physical copy of Returnal and give it a try, thanks!

Reason i ask is because i had a healer in my raid group named shifty with the same numbers iirc, this was back when twintania was the main raid tier and titan was out etc. I main'd a paladin name lemroth back then.

You wont be disappointed with returnal focus on learning the game mechanics and risk reward ratio and then progression will come automatically. Once you defeat the biomes boss you keep access to the next biome without having to fight the previous boss over and over again.

It's strange - I have 3 glyphs in biome 6 and log 57 standing between me and the platinum - but all I seem interested in doing is leveling weapon traits.

Other than ether showing up as purple on the mini-map the only thing that might have changed is getting more currency from destructibles in the levels

I kinda wish you unlocked some stupid broken perks for 100% completion. The gameplay is good enough to keep me coming back for relaxing runs but I wish they went wild ultra late game. Something like removing the artifact limits and adding artifacts that triple obolite drops, make you immune to malignancy and malfunctions, double standard fire rates, remove all dash and melee cool downs, etc. Obviously those would kill the challenge for the standard game so that's why you reserve them for the 100%. Could also add a 1 shot mode. All enemies die with one shot but also kill with one shot. To keep that fair give all enemies shields. I don't know, just goofy thoughts I guess.

Jup, something extra for the endgame would be nice.

Lots of possibilities for modifiers and challenge runs. Give me some crazy new suits! PvP battle arena. So many things they could do.
I pray every day to the gaming gods for some DLC. My hope will last forever.

I find only 3rd biome with the drones being a bit unfair. :lollipop_tears_of_joy: But managed to pass it from the first run. Well, I'm happy that many are still enjoying this wonderful game, and sadly and I'm not that type of gamer anymore that replays games. That's been since infamous 2 on PS3. Before that MGS 17 times, MGS2 21 times, and many other games.

Ha! At the age of 40, my video gaming pride has all but disappeared. That said, I’ll still beat any youngster at either IK+ or Pro Evo on the PS2.

Really liked the game, love the combat. Just got frustrated at the lack of build variety. The malignancy mechanic was too punishing so I simply never picked up any contaminated resin as it wasn’t worth the risk.

I’ll go back to it again.

Decided to play the game again and go for the platinum after taking a few weeks break. This game is not easy to just pick up again but damn it feels good. Liking the tweaks they've done to the map markers etc

It never was.

It is up to you what is worth or not.

Like, malignancy which increases cooldown of alt fire for 5 sec, but you have an artifact that reduces it about 3 secs after a successful overload, etc. You have to understand the whereabouts of malignancy to manipulate it.

For me it is electropylon driver. Easy mode all the way.

After Nintendo not being able to drop a new 3D Metroid since so long, i now appreciate this game even more.
They did say the next entry in the prime series was in active development.... But it would take luck to even see it next year.

I think I'm giving up on the platinum...

This was one of my favorite games in recent memory. However, the platinum Survey trophies are absolutely stupid. It is insane that the procedural generation does not prioritize the collectibles you do not have. I'm speed running through biomes over and over again, and it's making me hate the game. I'm not playing it for the gameplay anymore, just for the collectibles and it seems like this process could stretch on for 20 more hours. I am missing two audio logs and many ciphers which never seem to pop up.

Maybe one day, I will get it from just turning on the game here and there, but I think I'll give up and move on to something else. Trophies are meaningless anyways so if I am not having fun getting them, then I should just quit. No reason to ruin my experience with the game.

Can anyone help me with how to get up to the really high platform in the central room of Biome 5? It seems to have a teleportation gate by it which I assume is connected to the gate right where you start in the biome. That gate is never active when you're first there and it doesn't look like there's any way to get back there once you drop into the main room.
