After the job report, economy, and Middle East, the Dems needed to throw the unwashed masses a bone. You can’t run from incompetence unfortunately. Nonetheless I shall celebrate by featuring one of my TikTok dance shorts 👍

I envy you american bros. Here in Brazil with 100 million less people we're still at 2,500 people dead almost every day. It's so sad and most of the population acts like there's nothing wrong happening. It's frustrating.

You responded "Are they wrong?" to the post that said, "Now people are crying that there's no way to tell who has been vaccinated or not. Wait for it..."

Now, I may have misunderstood you, but I interpreted your post as asking (rhetorically, I assume) if people are wrong to cry about it, to which I responded that, yes, they would be wrong since they have no right to know anyone's vaccination status.

What a bizarre thing to complain about. Nobody is even claiming vaccination status should be public information yet the idea that some people will worry about unvaccinated people freaks out out? Do you also get pissed when parents worry about unvaccinated children at school?

I'll still probably wear a mask during cold / flu season or when I'm sick. If there is one thing Japan does right it's wearing masks during those times. I was hoping they'd become a thing here too with the pandemic, but I forgot that Americans are way too individualistic for that to happen.

Wasn't really a complaint nor am I "pissed." Just stating that no one has any right to know another person's vaccination status, because they do not, and that is a good thing.

You do you bud.

I was wearing masks on public transit before the pandemic started but got crazy ass looks. Now a days you could wear a mask anywhere and no one would say a thing. I’ll continue to wear them on public transit if I ever go back but Besides that....

People need to start addressing the fact that 80% of critical care Covid patients are obese. I've seen this mentioned in a grand total of one MSM interview with a pediatrician when that very young and very overweight 12 year old passed away from Covid complications here in Canada. Obesity continues to be the real killer and indicator of any health issues, including the virus. It's not a stretch to say that's why the US was hit so hard, too.

Wearing a mask won't protect you as well as dropping to a healthy weight.

Science.

Have you been to the US? The avg american is obese lol

Stretch. But what’s really funny is all of the idiots who became anti-vax simply because of politics, and trying to act like they made a decision that’s “best for themselves”, but can’t actually name an advantage that they achieved besides being political sheep.

Seriously though I just saw 274 million doses given in the US, when you account for young children that seems pretty damn good. Also how freaking weird was it that in the last year you could get arrested for NOT wearing a mask into a bank.

Is there some quantification of how many people are actually anti-vax or is this more internet bullshit like nazis hidden under every staircase.

And people wonder why there are anti-vaxxers.

The way the health and disease experts and CDC have handled the messaging and PR aspect of the pandemic has been atrocious. They butchered it at every turn. First saying masks don't work, then a few months later saying they're everything. Then the stuff with calling people who gather outdoors to go back to work selfish and they're gonna kill people, but rooting on protestors for doing good. And then shaming and ridiculing anyone who dared to ask why they should still wear masks after vaccinated, especially outdoors, and then weeks later the CDC basically confirms there's little risk outdoors, and if you're vaccinated, very little indoors.

And then the average Joes and Janes who shamed everyone for not trusting the science and not listening to the CDC and refusing the vaccines are now saying the CDC is lifting the mask mandate too early. Why? Because they said so apparently. Now the CDC doesn't know what they're doing, but their word was gospel when it came to the vaccines.

So now that we are at the end of the pandemic, the only conclusion I can come up with is, no one ever cared about trusting the science, they just wanted to use that as a means to bully people and live in fear in perpetuity.

Whatever. I'm glad things are getting back to normal.

Same here my dude. Since wearing a mask I am yet to catch a cold or catch hay-fever during allergy season. I think most people here in Britain won't do the same once everything blows over.

US is fucking embarrassing with these conflicting reports and suggestions. Nobody is on the same god damn page!

Can you imagine how fucking bad things would be if hostile space aliens suddenly invaded lol
no, were just in an in awkward between stage right now ya big idiot. the cdc and the white house has made it very clear that the pandemic is over for vaccinated people, but of course many businesses dont want to move to fast and are waiting to see what other businesses do. but a couple weeks from now they will all come around and everything will be very much back to normal

however if anyone is to blame for the hesitation, it isnt the american people, its the cdc and the white house for being so wishy washy and back and forth about wearing masks vs no wearing maks, masks being effective vs masks not being effective, needing two weeks to flatten the curve vs 14 months, etc... the "experts" have done a terrible job and we need to re-fucking look at how much importance we put on their statements. they fucked up over and over again through out this whole thing and THEY should be embarrassed of themselves.

I agree, they played politics with it instead of just laying out facts. Fuaci IMO started out great, but he got a taste of the celebrity lifestyle and loved it and didn't want to give it up.

Its incredible dump behavior because people that are already on the fence will simple never lissen to them ever again and basically see everything as bullshit as result.
Yup. There was nowhere we could turn to just get straight facts and the most up to date science with no spin. Politics has infected everything.

feels so good. I read some dumbass article about masks having no affect on breathing quality. The fuck it didn’t.

Doing squats to failure with a mask on is turrible.

My gym never enforced masks while working out. They asked us to wear one as we walked in and checked our temp. But they then we were allowed to take them off. It’s been a little oasis of normalcy for me this past year.

Yeah, recently they let us take them off when doing an actual set and if we remained at our station but if we walked around they wanted us to wear them. Not anymore though. Feels weird to walk a free man. Gotta get used to it again.

Preach brother. So much fud going around that I lost all faith in the government scientist. I was okay with the initial reaction and lockdowns because we didn’t know how bad this was but we never course corrected and everything turned political. Apparently a lot of people at the CDC have quit over the past few days.

Anyways.... slowly but surely we are getting there.

Amen. And same about the beginning. I’m not expecting them to get it 100 percent right day one when they didn’t know anything. The science evolved, the policy didn’t, people saw that, and now there are trust issues. Rightly so.

It really is frustrating that there isn’t one place you could turn to in all this and have the most current science. No commentary. No policy. Just straight facts as they knew them. Instead, everyone had an angle. Just disappointing for everyone

Which is a weird thing to bring up because nobody ever commented on that. You quoted a post and posted something irrelevant. But okay.

Can't wait until the pandemic is truly over.

I have a physical job, working with mail sorting machines. In the summer the facility gets hot. I hate wearing a mask during the summer, as it just makes the whole experience worse. At this point I can only stand surgical masks. Everything else is either too hot or restricts breathing too much.

Even with vaccines, we're probably not going to reach "no mask" status until at least the end of this year, but I really hope this is the last year that we have to do this. Some people have had the benefit of working from home and barely having to wear a mask, but the rest of us have been dealing with it on a daily basis and I just want to fucking breathe again.

There are plenty of people who've seen the benefits of wearing masks, such as avoiding getting sick from germs or allergies. I completely understand that mindset. In fact, I think masking up is a considerate move if you have a cold or any other contagious illness. However, at this point I'd rather get my TERRIBLE seasonal allergies than have to wear a mask again.

I imagine a lot of people in the service industry and a lot of blue collar workers are just done with this whole thing.

The end of the year is a long time away. Amazon just let their vaccinated warehouse workers drop masks. This shit is over.

Mask mandate fully gone in New Jersey, including indoors, as of this weekend. That's pretty significant as it's one of the most liberal states on this kind of policy.

But also one of the higher vax rates, and their numbers have sunk like a rock since April. They've leveled off now, but at a low level that is probably just gonna be the new normal.

Even if states didn't drop it, Amazon probably would've. A non-climate controlled warehouse in the middle of the summer isn't the best place for masks.

policies and personal beliefs aside for a minute; how much of a weak bitch u gotta be to find wearing a mask so burdensome? What do you do when faced with less trivial obstacles in your life?

Do you do any manual labor or visit the gym? You wanna try that with a mask? You're probably a 95lb ghastly skinned nerd talking shit on a video game forum.

I think more people were bothered by the government mandating you wear a mask than actually wearing one. I for one would prefer the mask wearing left up to the individual person or company, and not a government mandate. I have no issue with Costco or Walmart saying it is best if you wear a mask, I can then choose to patron them or not based upon what I want to do. My church had mask requirements as well and I had no issue complying with them.

Yes, clearly that's the point I was making. "It's not a stretch to say that's why the US was hit so hard, too."
Right. So now what? You want the CDC to come in and fight the obesity epidemic and start telling people to change their lifestyle? Americans will love that.

I'm sorry that you find doing those things with a mask on terribly difficult. I'll wear a mask and do some muscle ups for you on camera if you want
