From an Xbox point of view, the delays to GT and probably God of War are really interesting.

It's gone from Halo Infinite confirmed vs Ratchet and Clank, Horizon, GT and GoW to half of that.

Now if the folk at Xbox were clever they'd quickly confirm the rumours about a new Forza this year, Starfield, Wolfenstein and anything else that might be in the works. They need to announce their 2021 plans in weeks, not months.

If this year is suddenly all those, plus Halo, plus improvements to older Bethesda games (classic Fallout), its suddenly looking like a very good time to buy into Xbox. Christmas could be critical, but people are already weighing up what they'll buy when stock issues subside. Kids are absolutely deciding what they'll be nagging for later this year, even if it's subconsciously.

Xbox will only hurt itself by not trying to get some of that mindshare.

2022 is looking to be a huge year if everything lines up for gaming in general. Nintendo and Sony both seem to of pushed a lot to 2022 due to covid and Microsoft will likley have Forza and Hellblade ready. Could be a monsterous year.

Next year is going to be like 1998 quality, more out of circumstance than anything. People who own everything are gonna win.

But I do really think Xbox has an awesome 2021 lineup, even if half the rumours turn out true. I just don't trust their marketing to do a particularly good job of hammering that home.

I fully expect this holiday to be championed by FH5 and Halo. With some smaller games coming to GP day 1. I think itll be a good holiday.

2022 is going to be insane, Phil Spencer has been pretty consistent from the outset of the pandemic that it would be 2021 where the real impact of COVID would be seen on the industry.

I've been playing this the last few days, and even though I'm pretty rubbish I'm really enjoying it. Just got to the first town and was surprised by how much there is to do.

A bit off topic, but I see the news that some Sony exclusives are making their way to Pc has gone down like a lead balloon with some of the militant faction.

If they didn’t dig themselves in to holes, they wouldn’t look so stupid after the fact ‘hahaha Microsoft’s cross gen policy is dog shit’, ‘hahaha why own an Xbox when I can buy those games on my monster PC? (Monster PC = mum’s laptop)’.

Will be interesting to see just how many go over.

Xbox doesn't care about GWG anymore and it's pretty obvious. It's shit like this that makes me think Rand's intel is correct - that they're just phoning it in until Game Pass hits whatever subscriber count they're aiming for then they'll just kill Gold off entirely.

Sony doesn't mind leaving all that money on the table, because they're so rich and attractive. Theyre the MOST attractive, everyone thinks so.

Microsoft is poor and homely, so isn't going to leave 180b PlayStation owners out in the cold.

Thanks for the correction. As an owner of XSX I unintentionally tend to ignore XSS specs, because I guess they don't concern me.

And yeah, the game is awesome, especially with all the endgame stuff that they have been adding over the months. And way harder than it initially looked.

Well, no excuse not to give this a try I guess. Couch co-op with the spousal unit perhaps. We’ve been looking for an alternative to Diablo 3.

Hate to repeatedly bang this drum....but Xbox is rollin’ right now. Just announce the Bethesda deal and Xbox ecosystem exclusivity for it’s future titles and I’m good. Need that Flight Sim though....on my 65” LG CX it will be :lollipop_fire: :lollipop_fire: :lollipop_fire:
