The goalpost moving CDPR DF has been doing is just astronomical.
CDPR did enough to tell us this...
According to a couple of CD Projekt RED developers, Cyberpunk 2077 NPCs will have more than 1,000 "handmade" daily routines.

This has nothing to do with trying to be like GTA, this has everything to do with trying to be like a modern fucking game in 2020. This shit might fly for a game that is some dungeon RPG or looter shooter or something like that where the actual goal isn't to simulate a city, but CDPR THEMSELVES are the ones fucking tell us this shit about the NPCs....its to be expected in really any open world game trying to simulate a living city.
To really be shilling this hard to the point of now trying to argue that nobody cares about NPCs is laughable. You simply can't accept the criticism regarding this game.
Why have any type of law system if you won't have cops chase you in cars? Why even fucking have any of that as an option in the first place if you are not going to even have such a thing in the game?
Have cops and cars, yet they won't chase you in them? That doesn't sound like it makes any sense sir, it sounds more like the team is having massive issues and needed to remove, strip, delay features. They already fucking had to do that with several features. For all you know, AI being dumber then bricks and cops that can't use cars are just another set of features they are having trouble with. I've never seen anything like this in modern gaming, with a AAA game that cost well over 300 million, to lack such features and someone with a straight face thinks we are buying that its a fucking design choice and not a "we are up to are necks in bugs, crashes and glitches and must remove shit"....choice.....
For all the new information that CD Projekt Red has shared about Cyberpunk 2077, it has also removed a lot of content from the upcoming Sci-Fi RPG.

So at this point, knowing what we know now about this developer's numerous issues, its very hard to believe cop chases internally wasn't one of them looking at how utterly fucking stupid the AI is... None of us would be saying this shit if it was simply some GAAS looter shooter Destiny type title bud. We are saying this because this simply isn't normal in a game that cost this much, in development for this long, about a city.....with cops and cars, with humans. Most of all....the developer themselves have told us about this "advanced ai". Suddenly when its shit, no one really "cares" about it, please look away and lets change the subject or something? I think some of you folks who are defending this stuff need to simply except the developer is having issues and hope it gets put in as free dlc, instead of this weird argument that its not to be expected, or "this isn't da gtaz doe".
Are you goingto say the same thing when its in the next update?
Will you stop playing the moment they confirm those features appearing or? I mean....it will be GTA if they make the cops chase you right? /s
So I don't know what to tell you Harm. cdpr explained it to you. i was simply quoting them. =)

Agreed completely. It feels like a waste when you have all theses great guns, but the AI is so fucking stupid, it doesn't really make it a challenge, you damn near have to HUNT for the enemies to fight. ACG probably made the best points about this in his review. I can accept many things wrong with the game, but for fucks sake if its just going to boil down to "we are just playing to shoot shit and hear the story" the game manages to even fail in those areas with fake choices that amount to basically nothing and pointless killing galleries.
I expected the AI to be a challenge here based on what the developer themselves claimed and based on this being the future with hacking, I would expect what I'm doing to them, they can do to me....never really happened and many times when a fight starts, the enemies basically just stay in the same spots, never go hunting for you, don't box you in etc. I never felt like I would lose any fire fight in that game. I think I fucking died more to glitches then the actual AI doing something to me. After a while it was just "wipe mind or shock or reboot optics, sniper shot" and once you do that for 40 hours plus, its time to give it a rest and move on to other games.
The game never put me in a situation to feel I needed to do anything different and the AI was simply too dumb to pose any real threat to the point of boredom. I'll return with new game plus, the PS5 update and the free DLC aka The rest of the fucking game we already paid for comes out.
