If Microsoft had less SKUs to target there would be less developers that screw this up.
Come on now - this has NOTHING to do with SKUs.
Game developers/companies are paid quite a handsome sum to be able to create these games. The game developer/company choose which consoles to port/target. And as part of that job - performing basic and appropriate QA, testing, and validating their games run with correct build targets should be expected..
If they can't handle it - they should find other work.
If the game isn't ready - don't release it. Or at LEAST release the game with a known defects list with an ETA as to when they'll be fixed.
This is the basics of software development 101. Managing expectations is part of the job. Throwing shit over the fence and letting other people, the public, and YT influencers do your job for you is just plain lazy.
CPDR would've done well to heed this advice - look where they're at now with one of the most hyped games of the decade....
