RL has always been partnered with Sony. With us seeing similar stuff in squadrons, it seems to be something with how PS5 handles updated PS4 titles in general. It must need a new SKU to use some elements of the Hardware.

But now a new question popup in my mind... is the game crossplay between Series X/S and others consoles? Is the 120fps option disabled in MP when playing agains PS4/PS5/XB1? Because from what the PC users said in another thread it gives a really good advantage in competitive games.

i have pretty bad luck too. I was going to take my xbox one x to gamestop to trade it in but then bought a new TV so figured i'd keep it for a few days to see how UHD movies look on it. It broke as soon as i plugged it in. Issue with the HDMI slot. pretty common issue too.
Now MS wont fix it for anything less than $188. and i lost out on literally $200 credit at gamestop.

This is great for those who need to be conservative with their money and buy a PS4 that’s going on sale for cheap and will still have new games coming for them. It adds to the value of all machines knowing they will be supported for years. Glad Sony and Microsoft are doing this.
I agree it can hold back the new games now but they will come with patience. The first year of 2 of games for a new generation are not usually the most impressive anyway. Great things will come.

Finally - Poor UPS guys - watched them come into my neighborhood and deliver my XSX (along with several other houses) - they had 3 guys on the truck running up and down the street dropping them off.. Dude looked tired.....
Gotta say - they were nice - they were taking extra care to hand deliver to the porch and not throw the boxes around..
Now if I can get a damn PS5 pre-ordered and in my grubby hands..

Na what John said was that 120hz mode automatically turns on if you connect to a 120hz capable display. He said he doesn't have a display that isn't 120hz except maybe for an old monitor.
The bad thing with this is that you cannot disable 120hz mode, or cap at 60 regardless of which mode you actually select if your tv has a 120hz panel. Which means your frame rates are going to be all over the place.
They suggested Capcom add an option to cap at 60 or keep 120 exclusive to the high frame rate mode.

Textures are higher quality, higher poligon counts on characters, better hair physics and rendering, scenery is also improved with seemingly more NPC's. Just because you're wearing a blindfold doesn't meant what you said is accurate.

It is just technical... devs can make cross games for the follow years... so you have more one of two years of cross-gen CoD.

You're thinking of the older interview with Jim Ryan saying essentially the same thing.
This was from a new interview with SIE Vice President Hideaki Nishino, who also said this in the same interview
"During that time Sony will release a mix of next-gen exclusives and cross-gen releases."
So it doesn't mean every first party title will be cross-gen for the next few years.

It's not that Nishino his saying in this interview. He is saying that he expect most of the peoples will transition from the PS4 to the PS5 in three years, so in the meantime they have to make sure that the games peoles buy on PS4 should work on PS5.
At a certain point in time, they asked developers to develop games based on the assumption that they will be cross-gen between PS4 and PS5. He never say that the Sony games will be cross-gen for the next three years.
Their translation is strange.

Probably doesn't mean much, they supported PS3 until 2016 with first party games.
