Still trying I see.Weren't you part of the Xbox discord?
Dude how many times do people have to tell you? Halo is cross-gen.
The same system that runs Halo 5 at 60 fps with a ton of sacrifices now has to run an open world game at 60 fps.
The xbox one is holding this game back. Not the Series X.
Horizon 2 is built from the ground-up for the PS5 and is 30 fps. It is a generational difference.
Trying what?Still trying I see.
God, give it a rest with the 30fps vs. 60fps debate. I'd rather have an eye-melting experience at 30fps than garbage at 60. This game looks terrible for an XSX game, and only average for an Xbox One game. Don't blame the Xbox One, because this comes down to talent and design. Xbox One games can look a lot better than this.
I take it you won't be praising Hellblade 2 when the time comes?Aside from that, you just need to go back to your Playstation 'story games are the greatest' circle jerk party
The last sentence of your argument is the only one that means shit. As in, no duh, of course it can look better when it's not cross gen. Kudos for pointing out the obvious.
Aside from that, you just need to go back to your Playstation 'story games are the greatest' circle jerk party because no one that's serious about shooters gives a flying fuck. Literally zero people would choose 30fps over 60 for a shooter in this day and age, open world or otherwise. The idea that Horizon or something similar would look even remotely similar at 60fps is laughable. GTFO
I take it you won't be praising Hellblade 2 when the time comes?
Don't give a shit about hellblade. I'm not here to masterbate to who has the best facial modeling. Halo could look better but to bring the idea of 'well, would be amazing if Sony 1st party made it and it was 30fps' into this conversation is retarded.
There are plenty of things 343 could, and should, do to make this game look better. But the whisper of 'what if we just downgraded to 30fps' would be laughed out of every shooter studio in the world for next gen consoles.
I don't even own a Sony console, you dolt. I've never played Horizon, TLOU, or any Sony title in the last two generations.
Secondly, Sony is going to mop the floor with Xbox out of the gate thanks to Microsoft's own ineptitude, and the attitudes of dudes like you.
So you play on PC at 30fps? That's the saddest fucking thing I've ever heard. Mind you, I'm not playing on a 24 inch TN panel at 240hz because I get my jollies off pwning scrubs in esports titles. I'm after the best combination of resolution and frame rate which is why I have a 4k120hz 43 monitor. 30hz NEVER enters that equation because I don't play games by inept PC devs. Just sayin'
Sort of like how Halo has been laughed out of every gamer's "must own" list for next gen (and current gen) consoles.
Halo Master Chief Collection on PC is doing very well but keep talking shit about games you know nothing about. The game would be popular on the next Xbox if they updated it with 4k120fps. Even console gamers aren't stupid enough to not be able to tell the difference. I'm not a modern Halo defender by any stretch. I only started commenting in this thread when plebes that dare suggest frame rate is the problem started spouting their usual 'I have no thumbs and enjoy playing slideshow games' shit. 60fps is the minimum for next gen shooters. We'll drag all those stupid fucks kicking and screaming into the next gen if we have to.
Sort of like how Halo has been laughed out of every gamer's "must own" list for next gen (and current gen) consoles.
You're on a videogame message board hyperventilating like a winded pig, and now you're lewdly trying to convince me about monitor refresh rates, which no one has even mentioned. Who's the sad one here, again?
I own an Xbox One and a gaming PC. I'm tired of current gen, and I'd like some fresh experiences that can only be experienced with new tech. If that bothers you, and it clearly does, then maybe you should turn off that fancy monitor you have and get some sleep.
You claim to have seen something on GAF without the associated drama. You call posts you dont like PR. Now who is doing PR ?Trying what?
I seem to have missed all the drama due to a ban. Just seen one screen coming by with your name in it.
And since all your posts since the Xbox Showcase read like PR, I was just wondering.
I'm writing this on a 60hz 4k OLED laptop screen, perfectly fine (and I would say, the best) for enjoying last gen emulated games in a mobile form factor. How is pointing out that there are tools for every job lewd? New tech shouldn't enter into the conversation if it downgrades the fundamental gameplay experience.
But go ahead, I'd love you posing as a marketing consultant advising microsoft that 30fps and insane graphics would be the way to go for their flagship shooter
People like pretty pictures, and Sony is outselling MS by a huge margin. Maybe you could learn something from their silly 30fps strategy.
MCC is still shitshow. Don't pretend it's not.
So laughed at but still doing good on PC and Xbox regardless, seems like you're trying to be a troll.Sort of like how Halo has been laughed out of every gamer's "must own" list for next gen (and current gen) consoles.
Wat? Halo 3 on PC is near flawless. Or have you been living under a rock?
30fps would still be a better option, regardless.Don't give a shit about hellblade. I'm not here to masterbate to who has the best facial modeling. Halo could look better but to bring the idea of 'well, would be amazing if Sony 1st party made it and it was 30fps' into this conversation is retarded.

I don't keep up with all the gaf drama as I'm never part of any.You claim to have seen something on GAF without the associated drama. You call posts you dont like PR. Now who is doing PR ?
Interview with Halo Infinite composer, Gareth Coker:
Halo Infinite - Gareth Coker Sets A Fire In Your Heart
Meet the latest composer helping bring the world of Halo Infinite to life – Gareth Coker! Join us as Gareth shares insights into his process, working on Halo, creating Escharum's theme, and more! Plus, you don't want to miss this exclusive music track, "Set a Fire in Your Heart."www.halowaypoint.com
He never mentions Marty O'Donnell by name, only referring to "legacy music". I don't like that. Here's Marty's response:
Halo 5 has some of the worst campaign gameplay in the series. CE shits all over it. The gameplay on legendary boils down to grabbing a long range gun and hiding behind cover because they put 100 enemies on the screen during every encounter because its all balanced for their 4 man squad based system, which is broken on its own. You'll be down right next to a teammate and he won't revive you, some of the worst AI in a squad based shooter ever. Seriously Halo 5 gameplay is so bad.Maybe he's really good at sarcasm, but how does "making it more like old Halo" make it more exciting? CE is almost twenty years old. Why would anyone want to go back to that, number one, and number two, how is it going to compete with modern shooters? Infinite's gameplay loop looks slow and boring. It's a regression from the sublime combat of Halo 5.
343i, Ske7ch and Phil have all referenced Bungie in the past. Not to mentionHe's probably banned from saying his name by Microsoft. Marty said after they stopped doing Halo a lot of the composers that worked on the series afterward were his friends and wanted to get his opinion on the work and maybe bring him in to consult but Microsoft banned then from telling him anything regarding the project.

He is the other Halo Infinite composer. Also, dont pull out facts out of your Ass.
You said they were banned from mentioning Bungie, even worded to look like a known fact rather than a speculation. When in fact they have many times.Pull facts out my ass? Tell me which fact I pulled form my ass, go ahead. Quote my post and tell me specifically word for word before I pull out the interview with his word for word answer.
See this is why I told you to quote my post and my word for word answer, I never mentioned "Bungie" once. I know specifically what I said Microsoft banned them from doing. Try again, stop getting stuff warped around in your mind. You said they were banned from mentioning Bungie, even worded to look like a known fact rather than a speculation. And I showed you a tweet from another Halo Infinite composer mentioning Marty, so the idea that Microsoft banned them from mentioning Marty is also wrong.See this is why I told you to quote my post and my word for word answer, I never mentioned "Bungie" once. I stated ONE fact in that post, either quote the fact that you claim i pulled out of my ass so I can show you Marty saying the answer word for word or stop wasting my time. I'm not letting you change the subject. And I showed you a tweet from another Halo Infinite composer mentioning Marty, so the idea that Microsoft banned them from mentioning Marty is also wrong.

He's probably banned from saying his name by Microsoft.
When they started Halo 4 development, they weren't able to approach Marty since he was working for Bungie. There were legal issues that Microsoft could not just get him from Bungie to work as a consultant and guide/review/help with stuff. He's probably banned from saying his name by Microsoft. This would have been about 2 years later, when they were working on H2A. Since it was his music they were reworking they wanted his opinion. Shame too because he said they had to back engineer all his music just from listening to it when he would have just given them the samples and saved them a lot of time and effort if they asked. When they started Halo 4 development, they weren't able to approach Marty since he was working for Bungie. Since they are friends, they most likely wanted to ask him, but they couldn't legally. This would have been about 2 years later, when they were working on H2A. After rewatching the demo many times, I have to say that I can't wait to play the game.
The presentation was quite disappointing but It seems that the game can be tons of fun. Upgrades in a Halo game is like a dream come true for me. If I can get lost in the world in legendary and slowly become more powerful and more immersed...
Still, with one more year they could do serious improvements but they'll probably be fixing the game after lunch. I just hope thy have prepared the code infrastructure to be easily upgradeable on any system.
This game, disappointment and all, is the one I want to play the most of all the next gen games presented
You said probably, but you hate it when people correct you.LMAO shit gets twisted in your head easily doesn't it? I start a sentence with "probably" and you think I'm presenting it as a fact? Not the next sentence that I clearly state "Marty said" and claim as a fact. What's wrong with you?
The unreal engine 5 ain’t ready yet and wont be till next year. If the engine they have developed is good enough then they should use that. They wanted halo as a launch gameThe gameplay does actually look fun in a true halo way but damn I really hoped I'd see something that had not been done before.
I think unreal engine 5 should have been chosen as 343 seems to be a rotating door for game developers so they need to be able to drop in and hit the ground running.
Maybe then the gears of war team could have helped.
Or with how good the open map design is on forza horizon games that engine could that have been adapted?
This is not twitter.
