Kojima Productions?

Housemarque?

A couple of the smaller second party studios e.g. Clap Hanz?

Third party exclusives? Atlus, From? Deep Down is now a PS5 game?

AAA multi-platform?

Guerrila Games, Insomniac, Japan Studios, San Diego and Polyphony. You're on point on those. Then second party - Godfall + a couple more signed deals, AA+++ or AAA. I don't know how third party AAA's are going to fit in. There are so many that need to be announced and everyone wants Sony's stage. WB has 3 bangers that need to be show - Batman from Montreal, Rocksteady + that Harry Poter game. Activision with Call of Duty. Bungie with Destiny. Something from Ubisoft. Definitely something from Capcom.

The only big publisher I wouldn't be surprised we see nothing off is EA, except maybe Fifa. That relationship hasn't been the same after 2013, not even after the attemted make up when they gave out Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare for free to PS owners. The damage high on top was done. You could shake hands and call it business but we know....

I'm hoping the Insomniac B team has been working on Ratchet & Clank behind closed doors ready for the PS5 launch. I simply can't see Spider-Man 2 being ready this year, if anything we'll get Horizon 2, no chance we're seeing both. That would be unprecedented launch quality for Sony.

Epic Games - Likely
Praising PS5 technology.

EDIT:

Cygames - Possible
Project Awakening gameplay.

Embark Studios - Possible
Debut game reveal.

gen DESIGN - Possible
Fumito Ueda's next game teased.

Jumpship - Possible
Another Somerville teaser.

Massive Entertainment - Not likely
Avatar game teaser.

Odd Tales - Not likely
Another The Last Night teaser.

Pearl Abyss - Possible
PLAN 8 gameplay.

Unity - Possible
PS5 hype.

Only talking about first-party stuff:
  • Demon's Souls (Bluepoint)
  • Gran Turismo (Polyphony)
  • Horizon Zero Dawn (Guerrilla)
  • New IP (Arrowhead)
  • New IP (Housemarque)
  • New IP (Japan Studio)
  • Ratchet & Clank (Insomniac)
  • Silent Hill (Japan Studio)
We also know that new God of War, Spider-Man and Wild Arms games are somewhat far into in development, but I wouldn't expect them to be shown just yet.

All of the other stuff, like Bend, Naughty Dog, whatever they are cooking up over at San Diego, Cory Barlog's game or Guerrilla's second project are not coming out anytime soon.

Edit: Regarding third-party software, it looks like neither Batman or Resident Evil are going to be there. I only expect Call of Duty, something from Square and maybe Project Awakening from CyGames.

The thing is that Sony does not want to show any game that its not currently running in real-time on a PS5 devkit. That's why Jeff Grubb said that many third-party games were being pulled off from the event.

Cmon what? Who of the big third party publishers wouldn't want the limelight on their games and IP to be associated with the worldwide market leader? It's a no brainer business wise, marketing wise. After the mess on Inside Xbox you'll kid yourself if you don't think these big third party publishers don't have their reservations about showing their games on MS stage; even if the money is good. You just don't know where the misstep is gonna come from that's going to overshadow the whole showing. MS and their showings have become sinonimous with mediocrity and disappointment - until they consistently show otherwise and get back to their X360 glory days it's what it's.

The thing is that Sony does not want to show any game that its not currently running in real-time on a PS5 devkit. That's why Jeff Grubb said that many third-party games were being pulled off from the event.
And that's good. Quality control if you will.

I think Gran Turismo, Ratchet and Clank, Demon Souls and Horizon 2 are the safest bets. Spiderman 2 and Guerilla's MP game would be runners up. Doubt we'll see anything beyond that. Hopefully some surprise 2nd party collaborations.

I think:

-Two new IPs
- Rockstar will be there
- Capcom will be there
- Box will be there
- DualSense will be there

They need more Japanese studios and studios period. At least 8 more considering how long it takes to make games these days since they keep getting bigger and bigger. I have no idea what to expect. They only seem to have 4 studios that could highly likely release a game during the launch window. I'm guessing one major family friendly game like knack. One shooter to show off how pretty the game is and one semi open world game a couple months later. So pretty much the same type of launch the ps4 had.

That and possibly way more... they've been quiet for a few years now.
The question is, do they drop it all in one payload or spread it out in a few strategic strikes?

I hope they only show exclusives and that's it, to PS5 and PS5 only. I don't want any Fifa or COD taking the stage, keep that shit for their own conference because I do not care.

If 1st, and 2nd party can blow us away with content that can only be played on a PS5, they will have the spotlight until launch.

And please let Housemarque be there.

Yes, Yes.... Housmarque are underrated and should be part of WWS / PS Studios.

I like that we're talking about what we'll see in a conference that Sony has yet to officially announce.

I hope to see Ready at Dawn, Bluepoint, Japan Studio, Guerrilla Games, Housemarque and Polyphony.

I think you can safely rule out Hoursemarque, The Ascent got shown at an Xbox event three weeks ago and we already know that everything else they were making have been put on hold for it.

You had me going for a moment. That ain't Housemarque chief.

No Ready at Dawn? There's been so many rumours about a sequel to The Order and with them publicly saying they're working on a new AAA console third person shooter on a new IP, I think they'll be working with Sony again.

Guerrilla will show a Killzone MP game and a Horizon 2 logo. Insomniac will show a Ratchet and Clank game. If Guerrilla doesn't show a Killzone game I suspect Insomniac will show a teaser of a Resistance game. A bunch of third party stuff and GT is pretty much a sure thing. Also Blue Point will show what they've been working on.

My prediction, in order:
  • PS box reveal, explain focus on making games more inmersive and instant (no loading screens)
  • GT Sports improved for PS5 gameplay (BC with improvements showcase, almost all ~4000+ PS4 games to be BC, and many of them will get enhaced)
  • Demon's Souls remake by Blupoint
  • Teaser of Team Siren's new game: Breath of the Knack: Trifork (to secure console market domination)
  • Announcement of Knack's in-console voice and real world toy robot being PS5's AI voice assistant version of Cortana
  • Horizon 2 cinematic and gameplay demo
  • New Astrobot title gameplay (to showcase new inmersive features)
  • New game from a new Sony internal studio to announce they bought Ready At Dawn, Remedy or Housemarque
  • CoD (marketing deal) PS5 gameplay (showcases how you can load game modes or missions from the console OS UI skipping menus and loading screens)
  • Far Cry 6 (marketing deal) PS5 cinematic trailer
  • Resident Evil 8 (marketing deal) PS5 cinematic trailer
  • Sega's 'revolutionary' thing
  • Quantic Dream new IP (marketing deal/possible time limited console exclusive) cinematic trailer
  • New IP from gen Design/Fumito Ueda (time limited console exclusive)
  • New IP from Thekla/Jonathan Blow (time limited console exclusive)
  • God of War 2 and Spiderman 2 teasers to announce they will be the main games of future additional PS5 reveal streams to be shown later this summer
  • Internet explodes

Them showing Spider-Man 2 doesn‘t mean it has to be a launch title.
No one says any game they show has to be a launch title. Spider-Man was revealed 1-2(?) years before launch?

Yeah, that's true, IIRC they showed The Order at E3 2013 alongside PS4 and then it wasn't out until nearly 2 years later. When I say "seeing both" I more mean "getting both this year", just worded it poorly.

4-Time GIF/Meme God
- Gran Turismo, maybe launch game
- Square Enix will say stuff like "Final Fantasy VII will run better on PS5" and announces FF XVI, but with nothing than CGI crap
- Capcom also will say how their games will run better and do a demo of their next game (I hope for Dino Crisis)
- Ubisoft usual games
- EA usual games
- CoD game
- PSVR shit
- teaser for God of War, which will take at least two more years to get released
