With Sonys first party being a little weak

If you're talking about physical, the PS5 drive doesn't even support CDs or DVDs.
If you're talking about digital, they would just do Emulator Shell games. But it seems like if they were going to do anything, it would be light remasters.

But let's be honest, outside of more "hardcore" online gaming circles no one cares about backwards compatibility with Ps1-3.
A lot of the relevant titles are already available through re-releases and remasters, and the more niche stuff isn't going to move the needle in terms of mass market appeal.
The success an mainstream appeal of Ps6 doesn't depend on it being able to play Killzone 2, SSX and Virtual Fighter 4.

I mean they could've easily remastered their classics and sold them again to bolster the lineup. Didn't even bother to do that.

Their lineup is weak because their employees are woke, they wasted 10 years creating and releasing woke games by woke people, and they still haven't addressed that the reason they've got all these failed projects and the reason they've wasted billions of dollars and the reason they can't absorb hardware costs is because nobody likes woke.

1) Current sony first party output is extremly weak this gen.
2) Sony doesnt benefit from ps1/2/3 backards compability, i will be satisfied if we get ps4/5/pr0 or even turbo mode on upcoming ps6, thats already plenty.

Ideally there should be the OG fat PS3 style full backwards compatibility. You insert a PS1, PS2 and PS3 disc, you play the game. But when you see the Playstation leadership, it will probably never happen.

They went from 12 live services games to 6 and ended up releasing two and with mixed results (except the space bugs game), so this happening was expected

Any improvement to playing their old games would be nice, and would give me more of a reason to care about a PS6.
Still funny to me that Microsoft actually cares the most about this vs the other 2 consoles, and Xbox has the weakest of the 3 when it comes to that back catalog.
What I'd really like is support for the discs, or at least some statement they're gonna speed up getting these games up on PSN...because I'd prefer they rain the old games down than this lackluster drizzle so far.

Gamers are spoiled little children with their mouths open 24/7 with spit dripping from their mouths if they are not able to play the latest unique platform specific game day in and day out. All the games that have released don't count because "reasons" and the ones that apparently do count, don't count after release. PS5 has had many first-party releases and third-party releases to keep most people happy. The loud minority just need to stop complaining about every little thing.

It isn't a matter of just flipping a switch it's specific to the unique challenges of the architecture. It isn't a power problem with the PS5.
Also - hardcore players hate to hear this - but no one gives a fuck about ps3 backward compatibility. WE love it and want it. But 95% of your average players aren't about to be putting a ps3 game into their ps5/6.

I do think they could stand to do more Emulator Shell games.
I beat Spiderman 2 for the first time today and it dawned on me that Insomniac has given us THREE GAMES the PS5 generation while Naughty Dog has given us NOTHING! What on earth has caused that? Sure it cannot all be to blame on GaaS. I do hope Intergalactic crashes and burns though, my gosh that lead character rubs me in all the wrong ways possible. It's like taking all the pro-Karmelo Anthony activists, mixing them with LGBTQ activists and distilling it down into one lead character. NO FUCKING WAY will I pay money for that.

The question that should be asked is this: why would anyone have confidence in Sony after this gen's let down? I mean, why would anyone spend the better part of a grand to gamble on PS6 next gen?
If they can have a bad first party gen currently, why reward them again and again, especially now when they have no direct competition? Is third party outputs really enough to invest in a PS6?
I never thought I'd be saying this, but it makes more sense to invest in a Steam Machine if people aren't into desktop PCs.
