Man, PS1 had so many gems, some of the most memorable games in gaming history.....Out of the 1300+ games released for the system, which games do you believe will stand the test of time and would lend itself beautifully to the remake treatment.....I remember people had doubts on how well Crash would do, but it broke records.....So what says you?

Personally I'm going with three...for now, but there are so many I would like to see...

Gameplay should be exactly the same. The controls of the original TR games were tied very tight together.That specific type of camera and movement were all tied to the Grid system. The only way to change the camera and movement would be to remove the Grid system but if you remove the Grid system then they are Tomb Raider games no more.

I think a remake that will improve the fluidity and speed of the animations will finally show that the Grid system is still perfectly playable today IF the player is willing to put the time and master the controls.

Since fighting games are one of my favourite genres,,, I'd absolutely love to see Bloody Roar remade with modern graphics, the transformations, the fur, the animations, they could really do it justice now...….Of course we also need remakes of Tobal and Battle Arena Toshinden…...Rival Schools and Ergheiz..

Another vote for Ridge Racer series, too. I'd KILL for Type 4 with modern visuals.

I think it's incredibly odd how Sony neglects so many of the properties that defined it's early consoles. I guess it fits into that 'why would anyone want to play these games' mentality.

Thing is over the years they have amassed so many IP's themselves across several consoles......It may be hard to determine which ones would be run away successes like Crash and Spyro was......At the end of the day, they would need a fair return on their investment.....As it stands, I'm not sure Medievil did as well for them...….Picking the right game is extremely important.....The RE series seems to have been a good pick for Capcom..

A part of me wants to say Silent Hill, but I'm afraid a bump in fidelity would decrease the charm and immersion. It's special, in many ways, because of its graphical limitations.

I would like to see Insomniac go all the way back to its roots and remake Disruptor. That was a really good game (with some crazy FMV cheese, lol) that would be amazing to see as a remake from a dev that has honed its craft very well over the years.

I'd also like to see the first 2 Dinos Crisis games get remade.

And maybe Blasto.

And Koudelka could have been pretty special with some tweaking. So that as well.

Plenty more too, but can't drone on forever.

Thinking outside of the expected games already listed, I'd have to go with Team Buddies. Given the cartoonish aesthetic it shouldn't need much visual work doing at least, so long as the 4 player split screen stays with added online play. I've never forgotten those brave buddies lost during the numerous battles for the Blue box all those years ago

You know what could be cool with new media? Monster Rancher. That was a pretty cool gimmick at the time, any CD you own generating new monsters for you, they even had interesting unique ones if you put in certain discs, I think SotN gave you a unique monster.

Maybe they could do it with MP3 files from a connected flash drive or something.

Would also love to see the return of the Destruction Derby games.
Shit was fun and relaxing to smash the cars to bits.

I'll always remember playing the demo for one of the games and the level on it had a hill with some road glitch/ramp at the top that would send the fucking car flipping around into the air like a coked out anime ninja, then smashing down into bits.
