I don't consider consumer electronic system assembly to be part of semiconductor manufacturing.

Assembly also doesn't produce any meaningful quantity of chemical emissions like NOx.
NOx is from transportation, especially diesels, and also heavy industry. NOx is associated with any modern manufacturing because of the associated logistics. You can see it concentrated in the Shenzen zone ... on the original map.

idk if you think semiconductor manufacturing directly produces NOx emissions - but it don't/not allowed - they have to scrub any gases emitted, not just because of NOx, but other acidic oxides/acids like HF or SO2

Transportation and logistics isn't manufacturing. It's part of the manufacturing supply chain.

Transportation serves more than just manufacturing, So any emissions need to be recognised in that light.

In addition, scrubbing harmful gaseous compounds from industrial emissions doesn't remove them 100%. They'll be reduced to ppm and sometimes even ppb levels in gaseous emissions in accordance with local regulations, but they won't be eliminated in entirety.

In any case, while constituting interesting debate, this is all very much tangential to the original discussion and a bit off topic for this thread.

The funny thing is that I've seen this kind of pollution map before, showing the difference. Happens annually around Chinese New Year, I believe it is. So might be a bit longer due to Coronavirus but definitely isn't ALL because of it. At least in my non-medical/non-industrial opinion. :)

Actually that part can be true.
MS is a AMD parter and to demonstrate the capabilities of DXR with AMD hardware instead nVidia hardware is perfectly logical.

I think so too. Look at the video of this guy:

Start: 1:57:45 (for context)
Main point: 2:04:01

An allegedly source from Sony/PlayStation told him YESTERDAY in his stream that Sony will attend the AMD event too to show something in relation with HZD2

Captain Hero

The Spoiler Soldier
They did it on you in Feb and they will do it again on you in March .. you never learn
Sony is telling you to wait for an email with info if there is something new and you still walking after youtubers and some users on Twitter who think themselves as insiders somehow while all contents are fake and obvious talk with twists! ...

good luck with that

A source from a previous stream he did also said that you'd be able to sell your digital games on the PS Store as 'used' games. Don't take his sources seriously.

Its going to be a pretty bad look for Sony IF AMD and MS have a joint show tomorrow. If thats the case then yes, something is terribly wrong behind the scenes at Sony.

I have no idea who is this guy but today we are learning that MS could attend the AMD event which it makes sense to me since they are using RDNA2.

This guy said yesterday that Sony will show something in relation with HZD2 at the AMD event.

We will see man.

But, but, what if the newsletter does not work? It's safer to press F5 here!!

AMD Project Lead Reconfirms PS5 Will Support Hardware Raytracing

Speaking in a press briefing at the end of January (and only now coming to light), Chandrashekhar confirmed that hardware raytracing will be a common shared functionality in both PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles, allowing third-party developers to fashion multi-platform titles that leverage the technique across both platforms:

"AMD as a company…strongly believes in the value and capability of raytracing. RDNA 2, the next-gen, will support raytracing. Both the next-gen Xbox and PlayStation will support hardware raytracing with Radeon natively. We will be sure to have the content that gamers can actually use to run on those GPUs

We believe in our raytracing, and we will have it when the time is right."

Gafers like D darkinstinct , SenjutsuSage SenjutsuSage , 01011001 01011001 and DynamiteCop! DynamiteCop! told me AMD is lying.
I totally believe them over AMD.

Cerny already said PS5 has hardware RT.. and then re-iterated it..

Why is this random AMD quote from some Italian site even needed for that?

no that quote was used by people to say the PS5 uses RDNA2, which the quote does not say but people interpret it into it because they want to.
even tho in the end that doesn't really matter much if it's RDNA1 with RDNA2 features added (like Sony and AMD did with the PS4pro which is GCN 1.1 with GCN 4.0 and 5.0 features added) or if it is RDNA2. the only difference would be a slight boost in efficiency most likely.

And they banned me for a week here but they let you operate.
Yep yep idiocracy is real.

sorry that i want to defend myself from someone lying about me. all I said is that we have zero proof of any kind that Sony uses RDNA2... that's all.
he puts words in my mouth that I said Sony lied about having Raytracing hardware, which I never did.

he is lying about me and most likely about others on this forum

He's not lying, you specifically said AMD didn't say there's RDNA2 for PS5 in the other thread and you're still doing it. But you had to go ahead and insult the guy because you refuse to read correctly and keep spinning.
