An official website has opened and between March 3 and May 14, 2020, people will be able to buy certain candy bars to get add-ons. Getting at least two bars will also give people a Final Fantasy VII Remake Tifa PlayStation 4 dynamic theme.

Only a handful of bars will work with the Butterfinger Final Fantasy VII Remake DLC offer. People need to buy two bars at one time to qualify for one add-on, and select Baby Ruth, Butterfinger, and Crunch bars are all applicable purchases. You can then email in a copy of your receipt to qualify for an item. (You can also text “CANDY” to 87654 during the event period.)

How many candy bars you buy determine which one Final Fantasy VII Remake DLC items you get. Someone who buys ten candy bars could earn every item by buying ten applicable candy bars at once. The graph in the terms and conditions go over them, and only a limited number of each add-ons will be available. The codes for the DLC will be sent out when the game is released.

  • Midgar Bangle: 100,000 will be available and you need to buy two bars to get it.
  • Shinra Bangle: 50,000 will be available and you need to buy four bars to get it.
  • Corneo’s Armlet: 50,000 will be available and you need to buy six bars to get it.
  • Superstar Belt: 25,000 will be available and you need to buy eight bars to get it.
  • Mako Crystal: 25,000 will be available and you need to buy ten bars to get it.

Tifa PS4 theme sounds tempting, I might do enough to get that. Thankfully I at least like Crunch (even if the taste isn't quite what it used to be after they changed the recipe), not a fan of the other two (although I did like Butterfinger BB's oddly enough. Bring em back!)

Square is going from one of my favorite developers, to the least liked rather quickly. Almost every title takes forever to develop, and when its finally released, its filled with a bunch of dlc shenanigans. I'm not sure how the current management hasn't bankrupted the company yet with its questionable decisions. Ohh well...

Wasn't BabyRuth the one where that one lady tried to win some trigger points by pointing out that the way the candy is made, it had a throbbing cock vein on the top?

Why are they only offering a limited number of add-ons for digital content? That makes absolutely no sense. It's not like you can show off what you have to anyone. This game isn't multiplayer last time I checked?

Also, this game is going to sell in the millions and you are making only 25,000 of the limited item available? In which you have to buy 10 candy bars for "a chance" to get it?

It's not enough that Square is dividing it's most beloved game into chapters, but it's also going to do the same thing for accessories, weapons, and summons. I'm guessing materia will also be dlc piece-mealed. I think I will wait for the inevitable goty version with all the dlc and chapters included, when it is released for nextgen consoles.

They shouldn't be making deals with candy makers. Sedentary gamers don't need candy. They need to do this with brocolli growers and put codes in packs of chicken breast and other lean meat. Flinstones vitamins

Sounds awesome as long as it stays cosmetic only, in for the Corneo and Mako bangle + the Theme :D

FFXIV makes tons of $$$ and can singelhandedly keep the franchise alive for another decade. Its also a good game so that helps.

Descriptions of the items, it all seems cosmetic

Can you get them through playing though?
I mean this ain't some damn MMO where they'll nickle and dime to cash in at every chance, if someone buys the full game it should contain everything.
They do this with FF14, minions, mounts, expansions, earrings, necklaces, hairstyles, etc etc, I don't mind it but I do mind the fucking fact that if you miss out you can never get certain items again.
Rather not see FF7 take the same route as I'm hating SE for FF14's micro transaction management.
