PS5 Launch Titles Leak

For months now, rumors have been swirling that Sony plans on hosting a special PlayStation 5 reveal event in February, where it will show off its next-generation console and highlight some of its games. The long-rumored PS5 February reveal event still has yet to be confirmed, but with various Sony executives spotted in San Francisco recently, it seems like the company does have something up its sleeve.

While fans wait for official information from Sony, rumors continue to persist online. This includes a massive information dump from 4chan that claims to reveal a ton of details about the PS5 February reveal event and what it will entail. Fans should certainly keep the source of the information in mind, but enough legitimate video game leaks have come from 4chan that these claims can't be completely ignored.

According to the leak, the PS5 reveal event will take place on February 5, and not only that, but it will reveal some of the new console's launch titles. Apparently, the PS5 launch titles will include Gran Turismo 7, MLB: The Show 21, Demon's Souls Remastered, Godfall, and a new IP from Sony Santa Monica Studio called Legendz.

That’s a pretty shitty launch lineup if true. Gran Turismo is pretty boring, MLB is great but it’s something we see every year. Demon’s Souls is awesome, but it’s hard to get too stoked about playing a remaster on launch day.Godfall looks clunky and me-tooish and that leaves Santa Monica which I have great faith in but am instantly skeptical of any title that uses a Z to sound edgy.

Meh. I don’t spend $500 dollars or more on lineups that make me go meh. Especially when it’s looking like they’re no longer exclusive anyway.

Only Demon's Souls Remastered has me interested.

If the PS5 does indeed support PS1, PS2, PS3, + PS4 games then I will buy it just for that. I still have my PS2 hooked up so it'd be nice to give that thing a rest so it doesn't crap out on me.

Demon's Souls won't be a remaster, it will be a remake just as Sotc was.

Gran Turismo 7? 😂 yeah right... this is fake.

LOL, exactly what I thought, now way in hell PD will have something like this on time for launch.

A remastered game, a game that looks like could've easily been made for PS4 and a new IP that sounds like a made up code name 🤦‍♂️

The last numbered game came out in 2013 on PS3, after PS4 came out. All cars modelled since then are future-proofed for up to 8K. It's time for a new mainline GT. A single-player GT without the online stuff should shorten development time drastically.

I am wondering what games will provide enhancements for the PS5 as well (better lighting, frame rate and resolution by example), this is fair to think this will be mentioned as well.... and this is all the competition will get for at least a year... Given how the X runs current games I would not expect much from this, I'm not even sure true next gen will show that much improvements over existing games in screenshots (I hope they will have more interactive environments, more dynamic lighting and shadows with Ray Tracing and that open world games can move around pretty fast while looking good).

What would that make it fake? I actually think GT7 is a very likely launch [window] title.

GT in 1997.
GT 2 in 1999.
GT3 in 2001 (new engine, PS2). 4 years after GT.
GT4 in 2004.
GT5 in 2010. (new engine, PS3). 9 years after GT3.
GT6 in 2013.
Gran Turismo Sport in 2017 (new engine, PS4) with less content than previous GT, less than half the cars, less tracks, etc. 7 years after GT5. Sure they added content but it was released with a lot less content than previous GT.

GT6 they released it the same year as the PS4. Did they release it for PS4? No. I asked myself why? At least make it cross gen if not a launch exclusive for the PS4. Look how much they take to release a new GT for the next gen with a new engine.

Forgot to say GT5 had a lot of content and the PS3 was difficult to work but the PS4 is a lot easier. They were releasing two numbered GT for each PS before the next PS came out. GT6 came out with the PS4 being sold. Now with the PS4 they haven't even release a numbered GT for the first time in the PS history. Maybe GT7 will be cross gen but from what i see the PS4 will be the first PS to not have a numbered GT if they make it exclusive for the PS5.

I lost my faith in PD... i don't expect anything from them. 10 years after GT5 the first GT for the PS3 and still they haven't even announced or say anything about GT7. GTS is like hey let's release at least something with Gran Turismo name on it for the PS4...

Insect like and yellow eyes? :pie_thinking:

OsirisBlack OsirisBlack , this it?
I don't think so. It had 4 eyes and 4 arms, and the main character (that he couldn't describe because it would be immediately recognized) had a gun/firearm.

Osiris post
Man walks into a dimly lit room, light bleeds across the room from a shoulder mounted communication device. It is the most light in the scene. There is a light mist and sparks spew from a torn electrical wire tossing light and particles around as the man cautiously makes his way across the room. His boots leave prints as he walks across the polished floors the dim light showing his reflection in the floor. The wire behind him cracks and slows as it comes to a stop along with all of the other lights in the room shutting off at the same time. The man covers the device on his shoulder but the light bleeds through his hand. The man pulls a firearm and continues making his way through this large sterile room. A noise behind him and he turns around removing his hand from the device at his shoulder and revealing himself to everyone. The light illuminates the room and a table he had walked past has been knocked over. The table cloth is still slowly settling on the floor along with all of the other things from the table that have been strewn about. Off in the distance a pair of yellow eyes open and fix on the man. (You will know who he is but I cannot say) he raises his fire arm and fires off several shots. The flash from the gun illuminating the darkness as the creature reels then attacks. Another set of eyes opens as it runs across the room at him. You can see the impact of the weapon punching holes in this thing as it makes its way across the room. The man backpedals and falls down (Monster is right on top of him at this point) over something as he is trying to get away. He fires off a few more shots while on his back and scampers to his feet. The monster still chasing he makes his way into the next room and slams the door behind him. You hear a series of clicks and other weird noises coming through the door. The man leans up against it and you hear a deep inhalation come from the other side of the door like the creature is sniffing around for his scent. The man is breathing heavily and removes one hand from the door and clutches his side, blood is running down his side and his pant leg and pooling under the door. Last shot is the creature kneeling on the other side of the door putting one hand to the blood (creature has four arms) then smelling it. "I have found you." He almost sings the words then the title screen shows and that's it.

Lets see if anyone else can get this detailed. It is the best looking anything that I have ever seen and the character models lighting and physics are on another level. The main character is impossible to confuse with anyone else and this game has not been revealed but I have hinted at it several times. This is not a cut scene or a render target it is actual game play and it is very impressive. Well the end is a cut scene but man ..... You literally cannot tell the difference and Yes

This was definitely all one shot.

Edited to add: I was just given the go ahead to post this and it is from an early vertical slice that I did get to see.
And before anyone asks No I cannot describe what the man is wearing because it would be a dead giveaway.

MLB: The Show being a launch game makes it already less believable. MLB always releases around March when the new season starts. This would make this year's MLB have a 8/9 month life cycle.
If this list isn’t fantasy, I’m guessing it’s a list of titles that will be shown, rather than launch games. Launching an MLB game a month after the World Series would be nonsensical.

Same with Gran Turismo, I can fully believe Polyphony would have a tech demo/trailer there, that would make perfect sense. But we all know they’re not getting something out the door for launch unless it’s an outsourced upscale of the current game.

If you're a car simulation guy GT can be very interesting. Been getting back into keeping up with supercars myself, so it has some appeal to me for that aspect.

At least this leak is more realistic than that other one (the Excel spreadsheet looking one). And they probably have a few other titles besides these. But yeah the only two out of those seven I'd pick up are Gran Turismo and Demon's Souls remaster. Would wait on reviews for the others and not a baseball guy so MLB'd be a skip.

Cretinously credulous
Legendz is definitely some online fighting/fps game (arena shooter? What are these even called?) Which of course means i dont give a shit. Such games are available for free everywhere. I buy ps consoles for story heavy single player exclusive games. I hope Sony isn't changing paths here.
