Caution: Don't buy it if you're in Germany unless you're okay with having to circumvent the runtime restriction. CD Keys has the game listed as worldwide/region-free but this is not quite the case.
Does the steam_appid.txt "trick" not work any more? I remember downloading Wolfenstein TNO via a dutch VPN and then playing without VPN or offline mode with a created txt-file in the steamapps\common\Wolfenstein-folder.

Finally finished Persona 5. 103 freaking hours. Now to find some shorter games to play as I'm kinda burned out on the longer ones. Great game though

I know that feeling. I still have not really dug into Trails in the Sky 3rd because my 99 hours of Persona 5 burned me out of JRPGs. Still a fantastic game though, the OST is still on my commute playlist.

So, i've been thinking about this for some time, and finally decided to buy Hitman. And now i face this dilemma:

I knew this game would take a lot of disk space, so i cleaned up my SSD, but it seems that wasn't enough. I guess i'll have to move all my other games to a regular HDD if i want to have better loading times in Hitman D:

Trails the 3rd will be my next long game but I need to play some shortish ones before taking the plunge back in.

Don't forget the 60 Templars who are just standing there, looking into oblivion, waiting for death's sweet embrace.

What do I get for killing 60 templars? Bragging rights?

I really wanna play The Witcher 3 or even Persona 5 but I can't complete such super long games yet. Gotta stay with the short ones or not so long ones. Thinking of doing Spec Ops, Shadow of Mordor or Assassin's Creed II next.

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?

Even with all the dying and reloading you do in Hitman, I didn't find the loadtimes to be particularly long even on my HDD. The only time I noticed a particularly noticeable delay was when I had a really slow internet connection and the mission load out screen was taking forever to show up.

Edit: Actually I just remembered that my HDD at the time was dying and even then the load times were pretty zippy.

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
well shit, something's wrong

I can visit the store page just fine in chrome, but not in the steam client itself, just a blank page

Mengy

wishes it were bannable to say mean things about Marvel
Someone told me last night in Heroes of the Storm that a Steam sale is starting today, Thursday? Is that correct? If so, how did I not know this??? o_O

Does it work for non-Austria people? Can't even read it.

Yeah, it works as long as you're paying with € in PayPal and you can use as many €-land offers from different countries as you can find. (but only one after the other, if you have multiple vouchers at the same time, only 1 gets used and the others are wasted).

I stocked up on 40 steam-bucks with 30€ yesterday with an Austria-offer and Germany-offer. Made 2 20€ orders.

Says I'm ineligible for the offers even though I have my PayPal set to €. Guess it's cause I have it linked to my bank and don't have any money on the account.

How well do the Wolfenstein games run on an AMD Polaris GPU nowadays? They used to have insane framerate issues but some people claim that the games run fine with the "Catalyst AI" disabled. I know that I can always ask for a refund if they run poorly but I'd rather not waste time on a 50GB download for TNO to find out for myself.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.

That still works provided the executable is tethered to the client, but it also means no achievements or card drops as Steam will think you're in a different game. Granted, though, using Offline Mode also means no card drops.

Speaking of Steam's runtime restriction: Does it still unlock after three months or that was fixed after ACRTAG's transition phase.

It still expires. I initially figured it was an unintentional side effect of the store region system change, but at this point I can only assume it's by design.

My Steam/Games SSD is 1TB and it's still always full... (minus the safe sapce)

I have a 1tb SSD dedicated for steam/games and so far I try and keep it around half full at all times. Really only keep whatever multiplayer games and games I am playing with friends installed and a couples single player games. I delete games as I am done or games I do not have intention of playing anytime soon. My internet speeds are very good so if I have to download something I can do so quickly.

Do you regularly play everything?

I have 10 games installed and I barely play everything. I usually stick with one game and uninstall it after I'm done with everything. Therefore I never understand why people need lots of storage for their games. Especially with today's internet speed where you can install one in an instant.

My internet is okay but not great, so I keep as many as possible. I have more VR games installed than anything though because I play most of them but only short bursts. I also try to keep 4-5 big games on there from my backlog to make me finish them ;)

There is really not an influx of 3D rpgs on Steam. So far in the past 30 days I beat Nier (still working on other endings), Mars War Logs and Risen 3. I guess Technomancer or the Surge are the next logical steps...I am hoping for a deal on Fable so I can replay it.

Don't worry Trails of Cold Steel is coming soon!

SSHDs are a decent compromise.

I'd say not at all, they're mostly useless as most is limited to 8GB of Flash. You're better off having smaller SSD & HDD separately.

Wait, will the sale start 1 hour later than the usual deals?

Same time.

That being said, I have to upgrade my 128GB SSD. I have a 2TB normal HDD for games, but I want to have certain games on SSD

Yeah games are so large these days, and even my 240GB SSD is always near full.

Ordered 500GB one this week, so hopefully that lasts for few years. (Will probably remove one 2TB HDD and keep two SSDs) and use 2TB HDD for backups via dock.

Plot twist: all the price mistakes will only happen for anime.

Well, many of animes were glitched yesterday, having series packs with all seasons for 50 cents. So I doubt will happen again (Sadly only saw that Bloodivores in time.)

How long can we expect the summer sale to last?

Until 4th iirc.
