It's also not doing 64 player multiplayer.
We will see what frostbite can pump out with Amy Henning's and Stig's games.
Facial animations look vastly improved from what little we've seen of Battlefront's campaign.

Seriously tho, I'm going to get this on PC cause I need this game to look like that. Holy sht, thank the gods this isn't Ubisoft, or I'd have to agree there might be downgrades. But with bio, we might actually get these amazon visuals. Can't come soon enough

That can just mean playing the world by yourself, but still requires online connection for the world itself.

lol I thot MEA looked sht from the get go tbh. Ubi scarred me with the division and watchdogs way back in 2012. I'll always think of ubi when I think of downgrades now haha.
Frostbite gave us bf1 and battlefront. Those had no downgrades m, so I'm much more optimistic. Also, those making Anthem are not those that made MEA thank the gods.

This is cool, but I'm more concerned as to how much writing is actually being done for this title. Destiny's problem was that it lacked content because they expected you to repeat what you'd completed. If Anthem has that as well it'll be the same issue I had with Destiny and make the game not really worth the $60.

Cheat prevention. Destiny and Diablo 3 (PC) are really good at this mostly thanks to an online only system. Diablo 3 on PS4 is a mess because people use hacked items without any server checks to see if the item is legit.

So is this going to be a mix of first and third person? Because in that marketplace part at the start it's the former but when he gets into the suit it all becomes third person also during combat. Hope we can switch whenever we want.

This is my view also. I'm tepid on Destiny 2 as whilst I liked the missions the first time round the grind was boring.
I hope that Anthem will bring a different perspective so I'm hopeful.

It was running on Xbox One X. That was the whole point of holding off on the EA presser in favour of MS' show.

No the point is running 1080p xbox one games in 4k. I dont believe xbox one can handle this game remotly on 1080p and I dont believe xox can run this game in native 4k.
Expecting this running at 4k on xox is crazy

Yeah they made their mistakes, but some of you are stuck in an infinite loop with this shit.
As for Anthem "gameplay", i think it will not look like this even on pc.
so be prepared to act salty over Bioware for years to come.

so has anything confirmed this is online only or does it have offline single player? If it's online only I'm out and my Ox will have nothing to play on it other than indie titles lol. Spending $600 Cad to play Indie games.

And we all secretly hope it's exactly the same when we play it. But maybe devs can get some extra bells and whistles going when everything is scripted and not interactive.

I believe they chose Anthem because it's something that brings people together, like a national anthem. Makes sense in that regard, and sounds a lot less clichéd like Destiny.

umm already confirmed in gameslice interview that Metro: Exodus was running on a high end PC and xbox one x would look 'like' that ... Anthem looked way more polished than that, so by logic alone you could say anthem was not running on xbox one x. anyone who believes it was is kidding themselves tbh.. expect the downgrade to bite!

I could be wrong but did they ever claim during the Xbox show that Metro was running on a X there? I don't believe they did, whereas for Anthem they said it and I think some text before the footage started said it as well.
Would be a bad look if this isn't running on X. Yes it looks damn good but it's also a game that won't be coming out until late next year on much more powerful hardware than Xbox One. We'll see.

This is gameplay the same way the 2012 Watch Dogs demo was gameplay. Anyone thinking anything else is delusional. Especially coming from the fucking Mass Effect Andromeda.
Well, battlefield and battlefront focus on 60hz refresh and a large scale 64 players multiplayer.
Anthem looks like a 30hz game, four player coop.

Looks promising as a concept. Realistic expectations for modern Bioware means I'm not even going to bother getting hyped for 2 years until I'm reading impressions here. I say 2 years because I'm assuming delay to Summer 2019 by next E3.
