Been really getting into this genre lately, I think because I've been playing SMT4 Apocalypse and watching Stranger things.

Anyway, been loving SURVIVE, Tommy 86, Gost, Perturbator, and Dynatron. Going to probably branch out a bit more now that it's clicking so well with me. Also, Thomas Giles (from Between the Buried and Me) released a solo album that kind of fits pretty well into the synth vibe I've been having lately so that's on rotation too.

Check out Carpenter Brut, Gunship, Mega Drive and Dance with the Dead.

Thanos acquires the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet in The Avengers: Infinity War, but loses when all the superheroes team up together to stop him.
So what's been everyone's "go to" song lately? Safe on Your Own has gripped me. It's not as dark as most stuff I listen to, but maybe that's why. It's almost saccharine, but something about that is so alluring.

Thanks guys, had a blast myself too :) sweaty and crowded but thats how most synthwave parties are from my experience in Paris and Amsterdam :D

Seriously it was unforgettable. lol, I asked around to see the owner of the club but no one knew who he might be.

Holy shit folks, I just saw Perturbator for the first time in Reykjavik. It was amazing, so much fun, great crowd and he seemed to have enjoyed it as well.

Caught this by pure chance, a friend mentioned a "french synth wave band" was playing tonight and he didn't know who that was. Good thing he told me :D

Support acts were great as well, an islandic black metal band right before Perturbator works pretty well

Randomly stumbled upon this bad boy:

Xander Harris - Contamination

His track Last Call is worth checking out. Not so sure about the rest of the album, kinda sounds like he's not sure what direction to take his music.

Yo that's awesome!

I know the title of the album is 'Dreamrider', but damn is that music slow for Lazerhawk.

Yeah, I was hoping for more of the same from him because I feel hes the best at it. But I do really like what I heard so far on it, despite it being different.

Yay, Perturbator and Carpenter Brut are coming back to Finland for two shows in April. Pricing isn't as kind as it is for the Flashback Future events, though. Bought tickets anyway.

Tickets to the Helsinki event
Tickets to the Tampere event

Yeah i was laughing about this as it came as a complete suprise :D Perturbator back so soon? Price is also too high and the warmups are not even related to synthwave. KXP is closer but i would have booked them to play with Zombi or something instead.

Reading through their facebook page looks like they're selling more tickets to Ääniwalli than you guys did for the Perturbator vs Gost event, which means the venue is going to be painfully packed. Looks like I'm not going to cash my ticket (chose bank wire transfer as payment option, but haven't paid yet). Would love to see Carpenter Brut, but I just don't trust the organizer to give the audience the best experience judging from how they're handling the ticket sales.

We got the Top#1 slot in Tiketti too, and we had summer events as competition. There are no big events this week there so it's easy to peak the charts.

But yeah, i heard they are maxing out the venue so ~200 people more :D

We have DJ sets coming up like this saturday in Kaiku. Big events again in the spring/summer. In talks with Magic Sword and Danger at the moment.

What artists/albums have the best hype as fuck synth music similar to Carpenter Brut? His music fills me with energy and the desire to workout or do work.

Just now getting around to listening to Megahammer's album, amazing so far.

You sax lovers need to check out Applegate '89, great track.

I've liked Perturbator's Dangerous Days album for a couple of years now but I'm really starting to get knee-deep into this new-fangled retrowave stuff. Really fun. There's so much of it out there. I think I'm becoming a fan of GosT, Mega Drive, and Magic Sword now.

There's plenty that's dark and aggressive, but does anyone know some more chill or upbeat stuff?
