Actually, now that I am really thinking about Seven to Eternity #2 there was a weird page with a huge top panel for the throne room, where so much space is unused, and then five panels below that show the main character and antagonist conversing. Those panels are so small that the dominance is severely limited. Thought it was an absolutely terrible/amateurish layout. Strip Panel Naked would rake it over the coals.

Black Widow's still one of my favourite books at the moment. #7 was another great issue.
Natasha's first kill was pretty brutal - she was scarier back then. I liked how they tied the flashback into the final page.

REVOLUTION #1-3
So I wasn't really all that invested in the whole IDW/Hasbro continuity going on, and reading Transformers MTMtE was really all that I thought was worth it. However, jumping in on Rom gave me another series to give a shit about (which is dope as hell), but I was a little worried because it was going right into a new event.

Which is FUCKING AWESOME. This series has been so damn cool so far. Great art and a fantastic means of tying all these different properties together. On top of that, it does what big crossover events should always do: pique curiosity and help create a desire to check out other books. In addition to Transformers (and the Marvel Rom stories), I want to read EVERYTHING in this continuity: Micronauts (which I was trade-waiting anyways) and G.I. Joe specifically. MASK only because it seems to really tie into everything as is, but Action Man doesn't really tickle me yet, especially considering he hasn't really done much. Out of everyone present so far, Action Man has done the least. Practically inconsequential, really.

I only have one question:
who is that Dr. Manhattan-looking dude who was chilling the the Micronauts crew and was sassing Karza? He seems like a dick.

Legion? Tone doesn't have much weaknesses.

I realised you have to save up quite a decent amount of these credit things to unlock stuff anyway so for now I won't worry about it. Really getting into the groove with the multi now, had a few great games this evening, just attrition. Are any of the old maps around? Haven't came across them yet if so

We're getting Angel City in December. It's not that hard to save up credits. I think Titans are only 100.

that page is cool

I could see Widow. She's a movie character, Waid's other stuff has had the OHC treatment and they do more self contained stuff like Hawkeye and Spider Gwen.

It's more due to Waid and Samnee and Widow being in the movies.

We'll see. I mean I'd probably buy a Widow OHC if they went in that direction.

Almost done with Goon Library vol.4. Love this series. Sometimes you come across dialogue you can't believe you just read, though. Maybe I'm getting too used to this new socially concious society we live in.

So, I just got around to reading the big old Infestation book I've had sitting on my shelves for a while, and... that was weird. It was both the first and second Infestation events from IDW, which are largely separate but have the same structure of stories with a vague theme (1 being zombies, while 2 is Lovecraftian elder gods) kicked off and ended with some weird series I've never heard of.

But yeah, it's so odd to me because it's a giant event thing pulling in a ton of different franchises, and then... they don't cross over at all. It's just each world dealing with the same basic problem in their own short story. So as a result the quality is of course a scattershot in terms of quality, with some working better than others and not having an effect on anything else. So yeah, it was an okay read, but nothing that's going to probably stick with me, outside of how unusual it feels to see an event play out like that.

Oh, and there's the standout note of a little single issue called "Team Up." It wasn't exactly a great issue, but it's amusing in that it's a part of a crossover that just spends its entire length taking the piss out of "giant crossover event" stuff in general, calling out damn near every event you can think of from the big two while also throwing in little visual gags like referencing the famous Heroes Reborn Captain America image. Like I said, it's nothing too special as that's pretty much all it is, but it amused me.

i'm awaiting black friday cmx sales for things, might dictate whether i buy Kill or Be killed and Black Monday Murder trades, each only 4 issues.

And it's amazing.

It absolutely is. It's one of my favorite ongoings.

Man, I'm listening to theme music on the official WWE music YT channel and it's amazing how diverse some of this stuff is. I'm letting it autoplay whatever, and right now it's playing a piano version of Sasha Banks theme.

Sami Zayn?

Finished TMNT vol 2. I'm really enjoying this series, thanks to everyone who recommended the book to me earlier in the month, I've been pretty close a few times to jumping onboard but always backed off in the end. It's pretty great though. It has all those elements I remember from the old comics, the cartoon etc but once again, some of the furniture has been moved around a little. The same core tenants that make the turtles so fun and exciting to read but with some pieces turned this way or that, freshened up but not just for the sake of it, the changes work to enhance things. Great stuff. I have no idea where they got Dan Duncan from but I really like his art too.

Lashley

Why does he wear the mask!?
Might drop Titans. The story is going nowhere.

I've only read the first arc, I plan on catching up after Fables but yeah it's good

I haven't even started getting the November OT ready.

COMICS! lOTl November 2016: Halloween loot boxes are gone, but a pumpkin is on the ballot.
Hey, that's a good point. We never bothered to think of a title for the November OT. It's probably not important anyway.

Titles and telling people not to spoil stuff are the essentials, then you just have to figure out what you want to talk about that doesn't involve comics.

Well I was going to read Atlantis Attacks after Conquest but it turns out MU only has half the issues. So I started Maddrox instead. Will go from that into X-Factor.

If you think Tmnt is good wait till you get to the whole city fall arc. Hory shit.

Enjoying my lil vacation this weekend

Well, I've got up to the Krang War volume on the shelf right now, so i'm pretty sorted. Probably won't be able to get onto City Fall until christmas </3 gave my partner my comic book christmas list already, thought I'd be kind and just list image books since they do the cheapest trades out of what I read, but I think another decent chunk of TMNT could make a good post xmas day splurge, if these continue to hold up as well as the first 2.

And yea, this month has rolled by, it's only going to go quicker now with christmas on the way too.

Is it kindness when you deliver what is essentially a list of demands?

:D
