I didn't have any issues with graphics or story but gameplay didn't age well. Well at least some of the gameplay elements didn't age well (like rule that police/enemy car is always faster and stronger than yours no matter what).

The backlash for the Berserk Musou is going to be pretty hilarious.

The problem with making Berserk into a game is that it's really just too story focused. So even if the actual game was like the Witcher 3 or Dark Souls or something you'd still be stuck doing the same old story again or making up some dumb non-canon story where ultimately nothing matters.

Give me that some old story goodness. I'd probably play that game once every year just for that. This is what would be ideal for me. CDPR's questing and storytelling ability with Hidetaka Miyazaki's (FromSoft) crew working on artwork and design, and a sprinkle of Platinum for the combat. Not too much Platinum, BERSERK isn't THAT over the top. Basically... whoever came up with Artorias' and the Undead Legion's movesets needs to work on the combat.

You may be right, though tbf last time I read about the new adaptation I remember reading it would cover the
black swordsmen arc. I don't know, maybe they'll start there and then jump to after the movies

It's an abomination is what it is. But yes, it's a continuation.

Berserk also deserved better in that department. I just don't know why they went with such a crap animation studio.

Traditional dailies aren't ever coming back. There's been a couple of people tossing around rumors, but if they were coming back, we'd know by now. Plus with the refund system, dailies just don't make sense. It's possible some of the new bundle stuff could be similar to dailies, or that the event gives us something, but that remains to be seen. But the old two tiered discount system is dead and gone.

Given the huge financial success of the last few sales, I doubt we'll ever see anything even remotely resembling daily deals ever again.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Anyone that complained about missing a deal that effectively ran for 24 to 48 hours is the reason we don't have dailies.

Ironically Ubisoft games are what I'm most looking forward to buying on sale so if they do "dailies" then that would have me checking them frequently compared to other games sold on Steam.

the no dailies thing is complete fucking bullshit because, as I recall, one of the reasons Valve wanted to move to that was the refund system and "making sure people always had the best deal"

but then they let Ubishit do extra discounts throughout the sale, effectively rendering their point absolutely moot.

The Alan Wake, FTL and Skyrim dailies will forever be missed. The flash deals as well.

Joking aside tho I'm actually looking for a good deal on Skyrim dlc so I can get that free upgrade to that extra fancy special edition later in the year.

I don't think they do extra discounts. What they did was effectively timed discounts that would just be live for a day or two.

The first sale after the move to community both threads stayed open, everyone afterwards got locked, so it's fair to assume nothing will change and it'll get locked again.
Agree with you, I always plan on being active in sale threads but it's just too much to follow and I drop out quickly until after the sale.

Just realized that Bethesda brought down the base price of Evil within from 60€ to 20€. Hopefully it'll be 5€ tomorrow.

Really pushing for people to try the original game before the sequel hits.

I liked Evil Within quite a bit, but it's a huge love it/hate it game.

So I eventually caved and activated steam authenticator on my iphone the other day. However I need to reset it after experiencing some issues probably caused by the firmware update I did. Do I need to take any precautions? Deactivate the authenticator? Will that cause any trouble (being locked out from the market or store specifically)? Or is it tied to hardware ID?
