Exactly. I want nothing more coming off MGSV than to play a game featuring Liquid's story.
Hell, they can pull a Ground Zeroes and let us play a "prologue" of MGS6 that is just a restored version of Kingdom of the Flies (aka mission 51 aka chapter 3).
I mean, the odds are low now that Kojima is gone and considering the direction Konami is going in the future... but god damn, I'm desperate. MGSV has left me very desperate.
I'm just clinging to Rising and praying they lend the franchise to a talented team that can put out something worthy of the Metal Gear name, even without Kojima's involvement.

Heh, Kojima can weasel out of anything at this point. He'd probably retcon the gunpowder as being super power fuel that Solidus accidentally had lying around and some kids stole from his cookie jar. Solidus was just living a nice suburban life until he decided to help the neighborhood kids deal with some bullies.
Anything is possible, my friend. Let's be glad he didn't bring up Solidus, it would have probably sucked. Zero not mentioning him was too bad, but I'm glad Solidus stayed away from the main events anyways.
I really would have liked him to have shown up or be mentioned in some way, but with the way the core turned out, mentioning him would have probably just screwed with the character. Eli really didn't gain anything, neither did Psycho Kiddo either honestly, they weren't ruined by any means, but they didn't really do anything but act as plot devices to screw up things.

Just a quick question. Pretty sure I just finished MGS5, got both the ending with Quite and "The Truth", and then got promptly put back into the ACC. I assume there isn't really any more and it's just there to let you keep playing side ops if the player wants, but just checking to be sure.

Like, Skull Face is pure cartoon villain. He's not really sympathetic even with his tragic youth. He's a monster. But he acts as a distraction from the more subtle actions Venom is taking. Mechanically, when you're fultoning soldiers, you likely only picked the ones with the best states. Anyone else is expendable. You're only letting some live because they have worth to you.
You don't use the child soldiers as soldiers, but you still use them for other jobs around Mother Base. "You're not as bad as the other guys" is a pretty poor excuse. You take contract jobs to kill a bunch of Soviets (who if you listen to, fucking hate being there) to assist a group of people that turn into the Taliban and al Qaeda. Then you turn around and fight for the Eastern Bloc in Africa.
Sure you're trying to prevent Skull Face from unleashed hell on earth, but the means you get to that point are often not related to that goal. Solid Snake never did wetwork to support Philanthropy.

Raiden destroyed like 20 Rays, that was insane indeed. Yes those were mass produced, hence weaker, but they are still Metal Gears. 1 of those Rays gave Rex a run for it's money.
Raiden > Solid Snake > Liquid Snake > Big Boss > Solidus.
Yes I put Liquid Snake above Big Boss. He gave Solid the most trouble, he just wouldn't die.
