Nintendo E3 2015 Event Schedule

vinnygambini

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???
About the French Media guy, how could he have seen the event prior to anyone else?
Hmmmm, he making doubt myself and my hype tooo.

Pourquoiiiiiiiiiiiii.

I dont mean huge sells, like Shenmue doesn sell shit and its is a great surprise megaton worthy.

If Animal Crossing doenst change its mechanics A LOT to give you more liberty in building you own little world, I dont want to see an animal crossing game ever again. I know theres millions of peoples that love it, but im already burned of the series if it doesnt do new things. FOR ME, that will not be a megaton, not even near it.
And for me, none of Sony's 3 announcements was exciting in the least, since the only one I even remotely care about is FF7, but it's incredibly overrated and FFVI and IX were both vastly superior. But I'll still admit Sony had a good conference, even if it had a grand total of 1 game that actually got me excited personally

Side note: the link on the Youtube homepage for the dedicated e3 site disappeared after the Sony event wrapped up. Just the standard YouTube logo in the top left corner now... I may be reading too much into that but it seems a bit harsh on Nintendo! lol

It was only supposed to be for Monday. It's not some slight to Nintendo.

3d world was announced at e3 and came out the november after, and tropical freeze was announced at e3 and came out the febuary after.

just because a game hasn't been announced yet does not mean it cant be far into development,

This cannot be repeated enough.

I'm keeping my expectations in check but I don't see why some people are so cynical they don't think it's possible for at least one major AAA surprise game for Nov/Dec.

Is there a hype train gif of the land master level with the train from Star Fox 64? Where the conductor tries to brake but can't. I feel like that should be a thing when Starfox details are shown.

Anyone got a history on this random French journalist? Prone to trolling or anyone got any idea about his gaming tastes?

Im still hyped, there will always be haters, Nintendo is gon' bring it.

Maturity, bitches.
If Nintendo is smart they'll announce a game today that they can then delay until 2021 where they'll win E3 for resurrecting it!

that is the wrong train
im not going to step into this thing lol

Ha ha, that's something I've been waiting since I joined the GAF :)

My nickname has nothing to do with graphics downgrade. "Downgrade movement" is how retrocomputing is called in CIS countries, and this is my another hobby. Picked up the nickname a long time before I frequented gaming boards.

Considering the amount that series sells, you bet your ass it's megaton worthy. Is it surprising? No, but it's still a huge announcement.

I mean, it's gonna sell well, but I don't it's gonna get a lot of hype in any case. Zelda generates hype. Metroid generates hype. Star Fox, F-Zero, those generate hype. Animal Crossing occupies that Kirby space where while it has passionate fanbase and it sells well, it's not a particularly exciting reveal for most people.

The good news is that, unlike E3 2008, we know that Nintendo has games for the core Nintendo audience besides Animal Crossing.

The Gamecube went out with Baten Kaitos Origins, Geist, Battalion Wars, Chibi Robot, Odama, Mario Superstar Baseball, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Donkey Konga 3, and Twilight Princess. Japan also got The Legend of the Quiz Tournament of Champions.

That was just the final year of Gamecube. Nintendo went all out with new IPs.

In fact, thats been my biggest issue with Nintendo in the past 5 years. What happened to all these games?

Why are we getting so few Nintendo releases a year now?

Nintendo going through the HD growing pains

Don't doubt yourself. Stay hyped. I know I am.

Kirby doesn't sell nearly as well as Animal Crossing. You seriously underestimate its wide audience.

Frankly, I don't give two shits about a new Animal Crossing. New Leaf got really stale, really fast, so those games are clearly not for me. But that doesn't take away from the fact that Animal Crossing is extremely popular worldwide, and it would be wrong for Nintendo to look at it any other way.

As the guy who waited with baited breath for years for that GameCube Kirby sidescroller, don't get your hopes up <3

That said, the Kirby game pictured there would be a megaton for me.

I'm glad it's not just me. I love the 3D Land games and something like them for Kirby would be fucking great. The amount of options the player would have for navigating these compressed spaces...

Mostly I hope we don't spend too much time going over known games that have already been shown in directs several times. Save Yoshi's Wolly World and Xenoblade Chronicles X for the Treehouse stream, thanks.

I am immensely excited to see Star Fox more than anything else. I've been waiting for a brand new Star Fox since the Wii launched. It's my favorites Nintendo series next to Smash Bros.

I'm actually kind of glad it skipped the Wii now that it can get the glorious HD treatment. I doubt there will be any robust online mode as most I've said, but I'm excited to see Miyamoto return to the series.

I dont really give a fuck for FFVII (im a IX fan), and shenmue is a really nice thing to have, but im not of the ones who asked for 3 every year, so im the same boat as you. But those surprises in the conference were undoubtly really cool.
I actually think Horizon was what made the sony conference great. If I can get something similar from nintendo, and I mean good game surprise, not that type of game, although a big adventure game would be amazingly cool, I would be already happy.
I just really hope throwing Animal crossing wiiU and calling it a day is not what happens.

KingSnake

The Birthday Skeleton
Yooka-Laylee kickstarter ends in 8 hours. I hope that timing is nintendo related.

It's not possible, but wouldn't be nice if Nintendo would asked them to do a game and they will present it like:

"From the creators of most of the games in Rare's collection, we present you today a new IP", as a payback for the Metroid shit?

Yep, Horizon was the one game I thought looked really cool there

It's not. They wouldn't. Only people who know the contents are those who work in Nintendo's PR and are dealing with the tweets etc., and the people in Treehouse, E3 staff and generally people who work in Nintendo.

Nintendo wouldn't really risk leaks. They may have shown some content off ahead of time, as per Starfox last year, but the whole Direct? No.

I'm putting my faith in you Joe. I hope it is not misplaced. D:

I was hyped on every Nintendo e3 presentation since 2004, but this time. I can't feel anything. GAF, i think the burnout caught me :(

I bought the Wii U because there weren't enough games coming out in the Playstation family.

But it's at the point where current gen is warming up, and I no longer need this many consoles, so if Nintendo announces a lot of cool shit, I'm fucked (because I'm never leaving Nintendo now).

I'm really starting to hate what Sony's press conference did, especially since the games people got hyped for on it won't be coming out any time soon

This has already been an excellent E3, whatever Nintendo has is just icing on my delicious gaming cake at this point. (But seriously...some Metroid pretty please).

I'm not saying it doesn't sell far better than Kirby. What am I saying is that Animal Crossing isn't really gonna be talked about that much in comparison to how much other big-name Nintendo franchises would be. It's gonna be good, it's gonna sell very well, but it's probably not going to have a particularly big impact at this year's E3, even among Nintendo fans.

This. We've seen enough of X now, it would be a waste to spend too much time on that in a live event imo. I want new news :)
