Nintendo E3 2015 Event Schedule

Remember the January 2013 Nintendo Direct?

Yeah, that's what people want in today's gaming world. That's the sad true. People want to be hyped. People want to be marketing guinea pigs. That's the true. And while it is safe from Nintendo to not do that it also hurting them a lot.
So Nintendo doesnt do it? Where is Zelda?

...yay...that same aura of negativity and outright disgust is permeating Nintendo again. Hopefully this is just this thread and not gaming as a whole because I'm not looking forward to another year of "Will Nitnendo go third party" and a whole bunch of consistent negative articles.

Nintendo themselves isn't helping with that attitude.

I really hope that for all the games we have seen already a lot (Yoshi, Xenoblade X, Fatal Frame etc) they will just show a small teaser and a release date and point to the Treehouse for more details.

They will show Super Mario Maker, being (one of) the big game(s) for Fall 2015.

So Nintendo doesnt do it? Where is Zelda?

Did you read the first sentence in what you quoted? I'm sorry to say but your question is quite idiotic.

I'll ask again, when does the OT thread for the Nintendo Digital Event start? This thread is getting way too negative and way too anti-hype. At this point it won't matter what they show because the current audience is way too cynical to enjoy anything anymore.

Is there any realistic change of Nintendo announcing new Metroid?

I would instantly buy a WiiU and bunch of Amiibos, pre-order multiple copies of CE and do everything else that makes Iwata happy if a new Prime happens.

The only way Nintendo can get as much hype as Sony, and "win" E3 is by having Mother 3, Zelda gameplay trailer and a new PokeRPG for WiiU.

There are different audiences. A lot of Sony/Microsoft defectors are old school F-Zero / Metroid / Star Fox fans. Soo a Wii U "PokeRPG" and Mother 3 isn't the end all Nintendo conference.

Sony: FFVII remake, Shenmue III, and The Last Guardian!
Nintendo fans: Eh...
Nintendo: A port of Mother 3, a nine year old game we didn't want to localize in the first place, and an amiibo of a wiggler!
Nintendo fans: NINTENDO HAS WON E3

Seriously though, I hope they announce a Super Mario Maker date. I'm really anticipating it now after what I saw in the Nintendo World Championships.

Why would they show the direct to 'journalists' ahead of time? Sounds kinda pointless to me with the risks involved.

There's no reason to show them anything that isn't playable at E3 beforehand.

It does make sense to show them the trailer for the Direct for a game that they're about to demo (so they can get write up hands-on impressions, etc).

Yoshi might skip it (or just have a minute long trailer)..but I expect them to go into great detail with Super Mario Maker.
It's one of their tent-pole releases (if not the tent-pole release) of the year.

I really don't want to see Yoshi's Woolly World. Like, I've never wanted to not see anything on E3 as much as it. Twitch/YouTube streams filled with Yoshi saddened me.

The reason? I'm reviewing it and already have a press copy. :p

Not every game has to be a +40 hours "AAA" blockbuster - they could have 2 new IP titles like splatoon to show us, wouldn't that excite you? I'd say a failed platform like Wii U lends itself to experimentation.

Oh absolutely. That's exactly what I'm trying to say, in a way - that we shouldn't be expecting anything huge. There'll be great games shown that we already known about, some that we've heard about and maybe one or two new IPs too.

I'm not going to be all depressed and shit if it's a 'mediocre' show, because that's what I'm expecting.

yeah, i somehow doubt it too

"Oh it was an edited version so if it's actually rad then the version I saw had the cool parts cut out"

How is star fox not hype worthy? And seeing some intricacies of Mario maker will be nice, we're probably getting a xenoblade X release date and not a whole lot else from that, devils third trailer/release date, yoshi trailer/release date

But that's about all the things I could predict. We're getting a long video from them so I'm pretty excited. Last year's e3 was sweet and gave us splatoon so...

Wait, how is that possible? Why would Nintendo show off the Direct early?

ANother thing: WOuldn't any NDA for something like this also include not mentioning that they've seen it in advance? I feel like they wouldn't want them saying anything until the event, including that they've seen it

I don't care. ALL ABOARD THE NINTY HYPE TRAIN, CHOO CHOO MOTHERFUCKER.

In all seriousness, Nintendo is not going to 'beat' Sony's conference, but I do think maybe they will drop something megaton worthy.

With Xenoblade Chronicles X I doubt I'll have time to play anything else anyway this year. Throw in a legit Animal Crossing Wii U and I'll be looking at a total of 1000 hrs of gameplay for these 2 titles.

It's not. They wouldn't. Only people who know the contents are those who work in Nintendo's PR and are dealing with the tweets etc., and the people in Treehouse, E3 staff and generally people who work in Nintendo.

Nintendo wouldn't really risk leaks. They may have shown some content off ahead of time, as per Starfox last year, but the whole Direct? No.

One expert video game journalist posts a "meh" on twitter, and suddenly all hype is derailed

I find treehouse to be unappealing and lame. So many people are saying theyre the best doh... boats and floats.

They already said region unlocking is something they will look into for the next generation, but will not be changed for the current one afaik (last Q&A they did, fairly recent).

Yeah I know but you can always hope especially seeing this sony confi, and remembering microsoft backpedaling for the better.

Especially after people debunked per hacks that making 3ds region free is impossible because it's anchored to the game cards or some similar bogus we originally got.

You know. I really have to say that I'm pretty surprised at the lack of leaks coming out of Nintendo's digital event. We had the Hyrule Warriors thing, but it's been quiet other than that. It makes me hopeful!

To me a Metroid Prime 4 unveiling would pretty much rival anything (for me) from Sony last night. Nintendo Vs. Capcom would be a farther off second.

Last years Starfox leak disagrees. I'm not saying it will happen again, but never say never.

Seriously though, not enough hype in this thread!

We are, at the very least, getting a brand new (hopefully) non shit Star Fox for the first time in forever.

Never give up, trust your instincts!
(Unless they are telling you Zelda or NX or Metroid or F Zero or Wave Race etc.)

Yeah like that time Skyward Sword moved to Wii U when it got delayed and when wind waker got pushed to Wii when it got delayed. Oh or when Ocarina of Time got pushed to GameCube.

Literally every fucking 3D Zelda game has gotten a Delay. We dont even have an actual title for this one. Of course it got delayed. This argument is the stupidest shit I've ever seen.

Jeez. Chill out. He's just saying that it's possible.

I'm not expecting any "major" games by the press's standards.

I'm expecting stuff like Rainbow Curse and Captain Toad which will get me very excited regardless.

As long as they give us the goods with regard to Star Fox U, I won't care if they don't show anything else. I've long since learned to keep my expectations in check with Nintendo. They often pleasantly surprise me anyway.

After waiting for so long for a new, good Star Fox game, it's all I need. I'm ready to be amazed.
and then disappointed and embittered when they inevitably reveal it won't have online multiplayer

We had new amiibo's leak as well. They'd probably have gotten a great reaction if they'd been revealed in the digital event.

I don't know this random Frenchman personally, but he could have just not *liked* the surprises that were shown!

Surprises confirmed.

FWIW, he's a pretty good journalist who covers mainly Nintendo and indie games.
And he did say there're surprises.

I haven't been following the thread that closely but i don't know what you guys expect.
