Nintendo E3 2015 Event Schedule

I have a meeting that will cut into the first half of the Nintendo Digital Event. 1st World Grown-Up Problems.

As long as they give us the goods with regard to Star Fox U, I won't care if they don't show anything else. I've long since learned to keep my expectations in check with Nintendo. They often pleasantly surprise me anyway.

After waiting for so long for a new, good Star Fox game, it's all I need. I'm ready to be amazed.
and then disappointed and embittered when they inevitably reveal it won't have online multiplayer

Star Fox Command, the last Star Fox game, had online MP. There's no sense in dropping it now.

I don't care. ALL ABOARD THE NINTY HYPE TRAIN, CHOO CHOO MOTHERFUCKER.

In all seriousness, Nintendo is not going to 'beat' Sony's conference, but I do think maybe they will drop something megaton worthy.
I hope they will beat everone in arcade games, my favorite games, and the least represented ones at this E3. This year is pretty awful in that regards so far.

I'm not really expecting Metroid per say, but I don't think it's like an impossibility that it'll show up in some form, either. Man, this thread is sour. I'd hardly believe it was a E3 thread if I didn't see the title lol.

didnt nintendo say they were working on a 3d kirby game at some point? think that could be announced today??

i remember back in the day there was a 3d kirby that was prototyped or something, i think it lead to return to dreamland

I'd just go on blackout and watch the whole thing after. They usually post Directs to their YouTube channel just a few minutes after they end.

That looks like 2D Kirby put through the "Mario 3D Land" treatment.

Which is awesome.

Star Fox 64 3D was the last Star Fox game, technically.

And Star Fox Command didn't have Miyamoto working closely on it. It was farmed off to an outside developer, one that wasn't stuck in the 20th century.

Believe me, I hope I'm wrong. But Star Fox U is Miyamoto's pet project, he's working very closely on it, and his disdain for online play is well-known.

Not every game has to be a +40 hours "AAA" blockbuster - they could have 2 new IP titles like splatoon to show us, wouldn't that excite you? I'd say a failed platform like Wii U lends itself to experimentation..

The Gamecube went out with Baten Kaitos Origins, Geist, Battalion Wars, Chibi Robot, Odama, Mario Superstar Baseball, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Donkey Konga 3, and Twilight Princess. Japan also got The Legend of the Quiz Tournament of Champions.

That was just the final year of Gamecube. Nintendo went all out with new IPs.

In fact, thats been my biggest issue with Nintendo in the past 5 years. What happened to all these games?

Why are we getting so few Nintendo releases a year now?

I really really hope Nintendo doesnt think animal crossing wiiU is megaton worthy.
The problem is, with Nitendo, you never know this things.

We're at the low plateau stage of Nintendo hype. Soon it will rise.

I'm already hyped, I'm just cruising already because Nintendo has already had the smash stream and World Championship

I'm hyped but already somewhat satisfied

not to mention the main course is really the Treehouse Live streams

I'm not expecting any "major" games by the press's standards.

I'm expecting stuff like Rainbow Curse and Captain Toad which will get me very excited regardless.

True. What might be "meh" to certain journalists...might be pure nectar for core Nintendo fans.

Anyone expecting Zelda or NX must be some kind of masochist. It's not happening, and Nintendo (who rarely comments on speculation/rumours) openly said neither will be at e3. You're just hyping yourself and others up for a fall...

What we might realistically see is whatever Retro have been working on, which could be cool. I'm not expecting anything though so whatever happens will be a pleasant surprise I'm sure.

Same reason as Sony's 2015 is so barren (with first party stuff): game development today takes a lot longer.

This year alone we'll have: Kirby, Yoshi, Splatoon, Super Mario Maker, Xenoblade, Mario Party, Star fox and possibly Animal Crossing in Wii U. That's a reasonable first party output imo.

I get the perspective, I really do. Its good to be able to see something spectacular and be able to play it within a year. In the same vein, I am greatly looking forward to Fallout 4 and its amazing crafting system, announced so recently, and hopefully released within half a year from now.

But I get excited about things further along too. It certainly makes me positive for the future of a console, gives optimism towards the long-term prospects of the console format, and is generally very very exciting. Just like when Twilight Princess was announced two-and-a-half years before its release. What Sony did last night was literally that, three times over. Its created energy.

I have a feeling - and again, I'd love to be wrong - but most of the stuff we are going to see in Nintendo's show will be games we are already aware of. Again, hopefully I'm completely on a wrong tangent here.

You are right , and that makes sense since Wii U doesnt have PS4's future .

Man. The truth hurts...

Yay, I am unhyped too. C'mon guys, let's ride our train.

But he was incredibly hands-on with Luigi's Mansion 2 and that had online play.

The OT will go up an hour before it starts, but it will most likely get locked up to 30 minutes prior to the event.

Considering the amount that series sells, you bet your ass it's megaton worthy. Is it surprising? No, but it's still a huge announcement.

I dont mean huge sells, like Shenmue doesn sell shit and its is a great surprise megaton worthy.

If Animal Crossing doenst change its mechanics A LOT to give you more liberty in building you own little world, I dont want to see an animal crossing game ever again. I know theres millions of peoples that love it, but im already burned of the series if it doesnt do new things. FOR ME, that will not be a megaton, not even near it.

Side note: the link on the Youtube homepage for the dedicated e3 site disappeared after the Sony event wrapped up. Just the standard YouTube logo in the top left corner now... I may be reading too much into that but it seems a bit harsh on Nintendo! lol

As the guy who waited with baited breath for years for that GameCube Kirby sidescroller, don't get your hopes up <3

That said, the Kirby game pictured there would be a megaton for me. And since Nintendo has been throwing local multiplayer in everything I could see a theoretical Kirby game like that almost feeling like Kirby-gauntlet

Which is fucking nuts.

I'm still pretty damn hyped, I'm just happy to see more from Nintendo tbh. Doesn't need to be gaming unicorns like the last guardian or
paying for
Shenmue 3
's development yourself
to get me excited.

This is the part where iwata tells me, directly to me, all about what to look forward to until next e3!

I actually like e3 much better that way tbh. I got splatoon and e3 is happening again days later. It's a fantastic hype cycle! Who cares if their bombs aren't the biggest if they appeal to you personally just as much?

Just have your body ready for anything, at the very least you'll hear about everything for the next year: cool! Now you know. The stuff coming out in the next hear *could* be face-melting. Hope you have a mop!

Who cares if their bombs aren't as "big" as Sony's? What if they're still great?

What if the last guardian gets cancelled?

I'm glad FFVII and Shenmue III weren't of personal interest to me. Seems their announcement (along with TLG, which looks okay) has killed a lot of people's desire for Nintendo's stuff, I guess.
