Nintendo E3 2015 Event Schedule

Disappointing, because that's the stuff I wanted to hear more about. Still interested in seeing what they have, though.

Why were you expecting that? We knew that NX wasn't going to at E3 multiple times since its announcement date. QoL isn't a video game platform so it shouldn't show up. And Mobile stuff is still probably in development.

No NX and no smartphones means Nintendo is going all-in with games and amiibo.

I'm willing to bet that something big is getting dropped during or after the conference. At *least* one thing. Nintendo blew their smash load days early so their servers wouldn't have to be ruined during the conference.

Why does that matter unless they have MORE stuff coming out "right now!"

My wallet is ready.

I'm a huge Nintendo fan. I love my 3DS and I'm still playing lots on my Wii U. But I don't see how this presser could avoid being super, super weak. No new hardware. No mobile stuff. Presumably that also means that the new online account system (and Club Nintendo replacement) is also too far off to be announced.

If we're lucky, we'll get a couple of game announcements that look neat. (Animal Crossing Wii U?) But anyone expecting anything big is going to be let down.

Iwata just tweeted, no NX info until next year, QOL and Smartphone-stuff also not at E3, it's all about classic game-devices and games up to the beginning of 2016.
So pretty much FE If will be the latest since Awakening with February.
No Zelda means Summer 2016 for the earliest release.

A new Metroid would be sent out to die. It'd require too much of a scope and budget for a Wii u version and 3ds is already in it's twilight years.

Some of you guys have an amazing conclusion-jumping skills.

1. Dead platform
2. No third party games for it
3. Zelda is delayed to 2016
4. They abruptly announced that they are making new hardware
5. Xbox One and PS4 were revealed and launched within the same year. DS too.

It's coming in 2016. NX may not be their next home console, but their next home console is definitely 2016.

Wants the largest console games publisher to avoid Nintendo's platforms.
If you're talking about the thread, it will be posted 1 hour before the digital event, like the other conferences. It's a E3 thread rule.

Bah, I mixed that with the 2 weeks rule.

am I alone in wanting Skyward sword HD over twilight princess? I know it came out more recently but damn seeing dolphin makes me wonder how great it would look upgraded

That'd be cool, but I think Twilight Princess lends itself more to the HD thing because of how it's aged.
Twilit World in HD tho

I kinda expect the NX to be portable. Japanese market is handheld oriented and because it makes sense having the mobile phone games also playable on the NX. But we'll see that next year. Already excited to find out what the NX is.

Up till the beginning of 2016 huh. I guess Metroid is hitting at Christmas this year ;)

"and games up to the beginning of 2016"... I'm already worried...

the Iwata tweet killed my (small) hype.
he just re-told that they will discuss only games up to ear'16, another way of saying that there will be very few new contents and possibly even some delay (Star fox?)

The lack of F-Zero hype makes me sad. What's all this talk about Mario Galaxy HD and Animal Crossing? I wouldn't mind Animal Crossing but Mario Galaxy...Are you for real? Sunshine 4tw.

1. Who said that?
2. It's not like Nintendo cares.
3. It happens every single time with console Zeldas.
4. Just to prevent ye dinguses talking about Nintendo going mobile-only.
5. I did not even get that sentence.

I mostly hope Star Fox is hype.
Don't screw it up Miyamoto like you did Sticker Star!

1. No.
2. Welcome to 2012. I guess they should've just cancelled Wii U in 2013.
3. Zelda probably got delayed because the game wasn't very good, and by all means, didn't look that good as a game either.
4. Sony and Microsoft will be making new hardware. Nintendo only talked about NX to diffuse speculation that were leaving console business for mobile gaming.
5. Okay, so 2017-18 still.

How do we know that? Did he tweet "Nintendo is ducking doomed" or what?

It's not easy to get hyped for a series that is forgotten. Trust me, I still have my GameCube running under my TV to play Sunshine and GX.

Super Mario Maker is the holiday game for NA this year and I'm okay with that.

..it'll certainly get a secondary push..but as it's launching in September, I suspect there's 1 big unannounced game to come this holiday. I have trouble believing Starfox is their big title for November.

...we really are forgetful, aren't we?

E3 shows us games that will be released down the line despite talk about it being about "early 2016 games and before".

Then during the December Direct we will see games that will be released later that year.

It's not that hard guys. I mean, yes, you guys will push your narrative until it FINALLY comes true but give it a rest already?

That's a good thing, temper your expectations. Nothing new will be announced. Wii U won't get any new game. Everything is dead. Practically don't even watch the Digital Event, you already know everything.

Well... That's killed my hype.

I feel there's gonna be a lot of focus on Xenoblade, but having read multiple impressions, not really excited for that.

Here's hoping beginning of 2016 means late spring or something...

I'm not saying go crazy with your predicitions, but literally before every Direct (and last few E3s?) they say the same thing and there is always a few surprises.

I just saw the Super Mario Maker portion of the NWC and it's a fantastic game. I still don't want to see this featured on the Digital Event but I hope Treehouse is full of it.

...yay...that same aura of negativity and outright disgust is permeating Nintendo again. Hopefully this is just this thread and not gaming as a whole because I'm not looking forward to another year of "Will Nitnendo go third party" and a whole bunch of consistent negative articles.
