You can confirm if it is downloading the rest by clicking the Options button and choosing information while you have the tile selected. There is a Download Status line that will show if it has downloaded everything or is still downloading. Mine is currently at 22GB, so over halfway there!!

Doesn't the MSAA done through console commands reset each time you hit a loading screen anyways? I remember that being a pain in TNO

You can activate MSAA permanently by editing graphics presets in a text file. I switched to DSR recently, but I think the file you have to edit is graphicsprofiles.json. Just add r_multiSamples 8 (obviously you can change this value) to one of the presets and change other settings as well if you wish, then select the preset in-game to get anti-aliasing that sticks.

TNO was a SP guy's dream (at least for me, as someone who prizes FPS that have enjoyable stories). I think it's well worth that money.

I've always had a weakness for first person shooters but lately I feel like they've been getting progressively worse. Enter The New Order, a game that seems to ignore all the Call of Duties and Battlefields of recent years and instead builds upon slightly older genre staples. The maps are larger and there's multiple ways to approach them with pretty clever secrets to try to find throughout. Also the gunplay is phenomenal and the health system manages to feel like a breath of fresh air. To sum it up Wolfenstein TNO is a return to format for the first person genre and I look forward to what Machinehead games will give us next.

Yes absolutely. The game is great! My favorite FPS campaign in a long time.

Ya, TNO is one of the only games I've ever started playing at night and was still playing when the sun was coming up and the birds were chirping the next morning.

I have wicked gaming ADD and I usually can't play for more than 2 or 3 hours straight at a time, but Wolfenstein was just that good.

It was one of those games where I sat down thinking I was just going to play a mission or two, blew threw half the game in a sitting, and then was extraordinarily happy the game was twice as long as I expected so I could do that again after work.

Easy for me to say this but I'd rather them alienate some customers than tone down whatever artistic vision they'd have for the game.

It's a standalone title and the last game sold pretty poorly on last gen. This way they get to make the game they wanted due to a lack of power constraints and it's probably easier and cheaper to make by dropping two platforms.

I'm personally pretty glad to see them not wasting resources on the last generation anymore. It's a standalone title, so there's no reason you can't play it whenever you eventually move to the current gen. If being able to play was tied to having a copy of TNO digital or disc, people might have a legitimate beef.

Hey Man! I found that quote from Game Informer about how they're improving the game from TNO

We're still using Id Tech 5 for The Old Blood, but have improved the rendering with new lighting, fog and particles systems that allow for heavier use of effects.

In general, focusing on the new consoles and PC has allowed us to increase the overall level of detail and complexity of weapons, enemies and especially our environments, both in terms of vistas and gameplay spaces. The Old Blood containts larger and more open combat spaces with an increased number of enemies to encounter, while still keeping a solid 60-frames-per-second.

I feel the same way. I'm happy that the developers chose to focus on the power and capabilities of the current-gen systems. The sooner cross-gen games die, the better.

RTCW won a ton of GOTY awards.
Wolfestein: Enemy Territory was the GOAT for Free to Play games for the longest time.
Wolf 2009 was mediocre.
Wolfenstein The New Order was good.

What track record are you talking about? Because there was only one mediocre game and even that is debatable.

With that out of the way, a question I have pertaining to the thread - Is this just a reimagining the first couple missions of RTCW? Because going to the castle with Agent One and then going to the Crypt at the town is pretty much spot on.

It's not debatable, it's flat out fucking wrong. Wolf 2009 is one of the best damn games in the franchise #TeamWolf2009
