ABOUT THIS GAME

4.gif
At the Royal Academy of Magic (the Academy for short), Marie is failing in her attempts to study alchemy. One day, she is given an atelier by her professor as part of a special graduation exam. In order to graduate, Marie must complete an item that will impress her professor.

But first, Marie must strive to improve her alchemy skills, collect ingredients, and earn money to hire adventurers and buy recipes and utensils... Add all of that to the synthesis, battles, and quests she must undertake, and it's clear that she has a lot to do before she's ready for her exam!

It's up to you to choose where to begin! Work hard to graduate from the Academy, but be sure to enjoy yourself along the way.

Features of the Remake:
- Updated graphics! Marie and friends brought to life with the latest technology!

Character designs and event illustrations have been revamped, and 2D animations have also been introduced in the remake. In addition, there are now 3D models of characters and stages, so players can enjoy seeing cute mini characters while they move around the map and explore.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
What exactly is that extra full game remake that's included with the deluxe edition? Is it the same game? Their wording is very confusing, and I can't seem to find anything online. The store description just says

"Atelier Marie Plus" is a port of the original version. You can play the game with the same feeling as when it was first released, in modern graphics, and in the same language as the main game.

But that sounds like it could be describing the base game itself?

Atelier Marie Plus was the updated version of the original game with added DLC and “quality of life” improvements, just as every “plus“ version of the games in the series. It was only released on Japanese PS1. Now it has English subtitles and is on every platform.

I’m not sure why anyone would play that game, but there it is. It probably cost them very little to nothing to produce, since the game would use the same assets as the regular version.

With the deluxe edition, you get the remake and an "as-is" port of the original PS1 game.
