Is Gracepoint bad? DVR'd it last night but was busy watching football so I didn't get the chance to watch it.

Will it even air all 10 episodes if things continue as they are now?

I didn't watch it, but my advice would be to just check out Broadchurch instead. It's a very close remake until the latter stages of the story, and it didn't review particularly well.

Like others said, just go with Broadchurch.

I watched the first half of the episode, Anna Gunn is great in the role and so is Danny's mom, but I really can't take the dad seriously. It just feels like he can't act.

Why people kept seeing the Packers-Vikings game perplexes me.

I was watching Arizona/Oregon :p

I'd watch Broadchurch but it doesn't look like there is a way for me to stream it right now. I'll give Gracepoint a go tonight though and if I like it I'll keep an eye out for if/when Broadchurch is available for streaming.

Why are so many scripted shows failing this season? Sleepy Hollow, Agents of Shield, Gracepoint, Have... to name a few! At this point most of my favorite tv shows won't be renewed. ;(

Has Gracepoint even premiered?

Edit: Apparently it has. Gonna have to look for it On Demand or Hulu then.

NBC killed Revolution? That was the one where all the electricity power was lost, right?

I stopped 10 episodes into season 1, when they did that awful mid-season break thing that America always does. In my opinion it is death to shows that haven't quite found their audience yet, as many people don't know when they start re-airing again, or by the time they do begin airing again, those people have half-forgotten what happened previously and aren't willing to go binge-watch 10 eps.

Did it get any better? Did it have any kind of closure for it's ending?

I really enjoyed the second half of season 1 for what it's worth, really picked up the pace after a few episodes in. Really didn't like the first 10 either.

Second season I haven't gotten around to but I might as well.

Gracepoint would have been better if they hadn't done a shot for shot remake. It's not like people didn't see the original here in the US.

Because people don't watch live TV as much anymore. These shows aren't bombing per say, they are adjusting to the new reality.

Second season was a hundred, million times better. It had an "ending" in that it wrapped up most of the storylines from the second season, but the show could've easily gone on for years if it was successful.

Sold, I'll give Revolution another shot on Netflix sometime.

Revolution actually got a lot better after that. I stopped watching at the same point because I thought it was pretty mediocre up to then, then I randomly decided to catch up halfway through season 2 and was surprised by how much more I enjoyed the show.

It doesn't end with much closure, though. In fact, it ends with a pretty huge cliffhanger.

They haven't though. A very small number of people watched Broadchurch and I don't believe it's on any of the major streaming platforms in the US.

It was on BBC America, I know a lot of people who saw it.

iirc, the ratings were very low

-----------------

That's not to say I think FOX should have done what is apparently nearly a shot for shot remake (at least through the first few episodes), but I don't think that's exactly the thing that hampering them.

True, I was kinda bored while watching it. Quiet seaside town works better in the UK.

Happy to know HTGAWM is doing as well as Scandal. Two great shows!

Also, don't google "How to Get Away With Murder" :p.
