That big motherfucker taking a couple bullets and throwing that axe into Marty's chest was great.

Remarried: I think it would have been an odd thing to focus on at that scene, considering they never explicitly said she remarried.
Old ring: It's hard to believe that she'd give him another chance just because of this incident, but then again she gave him another shot after the first 'shootout'. And if that wasn't a sign that she would take him back, that's ultra fucked up on her part.

I love how there actually turned out to be two different layers of abductions/rituals/murders here. The Childress one, which they solved in this episode, closing the Dora Lange circle, and the one the "sprawl" one, the one they will never solve, the one that created The Yellow King Childress.

Well there was the questions that came up from her new, big-looking house and new SUV. Either she cleaned Marty out in court, she got a fat inheritance from her possibly-dead parents, or nurses in Louisiana make a fuckton of money.

Yeah I'm glad the mystery ended early and we got some more character stuff the final 10 minutes.
I thought that was her parent's house they went to earlier in the season. Just to me, how the camera focused on the ring, the look they gave each other, etc. Why do they show that if they weren't gonna get back together? I could be wrong, but it's just how i interpreted it.

Definitely an axe. I don't think any hammers have sharp edges on them that cut into people.
And I was slightly annoyed that Rust took out the knife. I figure he would have known not to remove foreign objects.

I believe Maggie didn't get remarried just from my impression of things from the scene in the car where Rust and Marty were talking about her.
I think that's kind of the point. Life is cruel, fucked up and unfair and you never get all the answers. Marty and Rust put Childress down, but they didn't and never will get to the bottom of the ritualistic torture/murder of abducted children that lead all the way up to the Tuttles that Childress was subjected to. Time is a flat circle. All that happens has already happened and will happen again.

That was left vague. Turns out that storyline was about Marty and shit it was worth it in the end, all representation issues aside. I mean I get the crit but goddamn what show.
Ain't gonna lie, that Rust speech at the end made me tear up. Fucking McConaughey man, what a hell of a performance. Same goes to Woody too. Great ending.
