- Variety: Matthew McConaughey Won’t do a ‘True Detective’ Season 2 (old news, but for the sake of completeness)
With the season finale airing next week.
I bet they're wishing this wasn't an anthology with a new cast each season right about now, though...
Remus' family tree does not fork.Remus' Family's been here a long time
That's what I'm saying, and patchy beards on scared up faces aren't exactly common or a forgettable sight. How could he grow a beard if he has scars all over his face?
This needs to become a meme. Fantastic.
I think I'm going to miss this thread as much as the show. Support group? Meet for coffee in carcosa with our fanfic?
You are the king in yellow. Deceiver. Evil.I am not Cornballer
Honestly, the Christian Slater season wasn't that awful. It was season 3 with Taylor Kitsch and Michael Cera that things really went to shit
I really liked the last episode. It was probably the weakest but I thought it was pretty great aside from the anticlimactic ending.
Snip
I have agree, Rust and Marty are in it to take down the man who killed the victims they know of. I think the state, once everything starts getting blown open, will bring down the cult at large. Or the show will endwith another girl being kidnapped for the cult showing us that evil never really dies and the idea of The Yellow King and Carcosa are this eternal thread that will always exist as long as good does.
I don't think that one can be topped, though. This needs to become a meme. Fantastic.

Show immediately gets cancelled the moment Kitsch's name crops up. Such is the way.Kitsch could play Rust's younger, deliquent brother, Riggins Cohle.
"Carcosa forever".

Now that is mean.I watched John Carter the other day and thought Josh Hartnett really let himself go.
Now that is mean.
Well, outside of Dazed and Confused I thought McConaughey was pretty bland for years. So there's hope for Kitsch yet.
Although if McConaughey had been John Carter it would have been awesome.![]()
Just watched the new episode and really enjoyed it aside from the ending but that's just because I don't want to wait to see all the shit that's going to go down.
I'm starting to get more worried Marty went to say goodbye. I think he knows this won't end well for them.
I thought it was implied pretty heavily. I don't think Maggie would have asked twice, nor would they have made it crystal clear that Marty didn't want to answer her question, if there wasn't something to it.
"This guy lived longer than he hoped. Fallen prey to his own beliefs. More cynical, angrier, he's had to endure the existence of this shitstorm called life. A little ragged, more rough edges, living in a place where he can manage himself. Not too close. He's not in the CID. But he's not in Alaska. He's a guy who's resigned to his indentured servitude of being alive. But he despises the sentence and the penance. He will not accept defeat. He's not going become a madman,. He wrestles the devil every day, and he realizes that this may last a lot longer than he ever hoped for."he's not going to kill himself
I think Rust takes the fall, so Marty can go free. His job is done. So he goes to prison . . . and there he receives a call from a man named Toretto. They need a man like him to track down a killer. A killer who killed one of their own, a brother, family. Two days later he disappears and there's a car-sized hole on the prison wall.
MM announced as the newest addition to the Fast & Furious cast.
