We don't pay for them in the same way we do for HBO and Showtime. Their not broadcast OTA, so we have to pay for a cable package which includes them.
I see, we have something like that too.

I agree HBO is head and shoulders above the competition. There was a point I thought AMC would pull close to HBO, but its become clear now they just got lucky snagging BB and MM.For me, its HBO >>>>>> FX > AMC > Showtime as far as the premium networks go.
Absolutely nothing.

The only FX show in the same ballpark as those two is The Shield, but that's been over for 5-6 years.
Louie is amazing stuff though, The Americans is shaping up nicely, and I've heard nothing good things about Justified (I watched the pilot back when it first aired but somehow lost track of the show after that). I think FX has a much brighter future than AMC does, and treats its talent far better too.
That's one problem I have with the show. They have been making a big deal about how messed up the guy's face is. The scars are supposed to be instantly noticeable. Yet, the first time you see him in episode 1, his scars are barely visible at all.
Wait hold on, I'm not annoyed at them not arrested the guys that they don't know about. In their defense, Rust and Marty missed him too. And it's not as if there were an APB out for redneck riding a lawnmower.

For me, I enjoy watching Justified more than either of those.
Quantity over quality here.......BB and MM may best the best of FX, but the combo of The Shield/Justified/Rescue Me/Archer/Damages/SoA/AHS etc. shows a much longer and much more consistent run of original programming.
For me, I enjoy both. For me, I enjoy watching Justified more than either of those.

I still mad that The Walking Dead masquerades as a top tier show.Meanwhile, a horribly written and mangled show about zombies draws a bigger audience than all of our favorite shows combined.
...
Let's try and stick to True Detective discussion here rather than derailing into extensive analysis of what other networks are airing at the moment. Thank you.
How could he grow a beard if he has scars all over his face?
Wait, let me get straight. You guys have to pay for FX and AMC to receive them? That's a lot of paid channels...

Cancellation is not the end. REJOICE! In Carcosa, cancellation is not the end. REJOICE! Heroes is coming back. REJOICE!
I'm in no way envious of Cornballers job, trying to keep us animals on task.Ha, I feel like you say this every couple pages.
I mean, there's a lot more than 1 killer by what that VHS showes so it's not like the lawnmower man is that unique or significant. I felt that last scene was just to reinstate how deep everything goes from top to bottom that even the simple lawnmower man is involved.
