I wish more game creators had the guts (and situation/luck) to just follow an artistic vision to its conclusion, focus grouping and conventional wisdom be damned. Lots of garbage gets made that way (e.g., Drakengard 3), but it's also where the only real gems come from (e.g., Nier:A). I'll eagerly play whatever he releases next, in large part because I have no idea whether I'll like it, or, really, how I'll react to it at all.
