Will you buy CDPR's next few games on Playstation, and if no, should they skip the Playstation platform for their next few games?

this is not a problem exclusive to Sony. The bugs and glitches are on xbox and PC as well.

The biggest issue is that the game was clearly rushed and unpolished, thus it is unoptimized for ALL the platforms. They should've postponed the release for the ps4/xbone version, or better yet, skip it altogether (but i doubt Sony or Microsoft would allow that)

Yup.

In fact, after finding out I like the story, I plan on buying 2077 on GOG in the hopes I can play it one day on PC.

And I plan to continue supporting GOG because I freaking love GOG and actually owning games I buy.

They releases 1 mediocre(at best) game in 5 years, they are practically irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

Apart from a crash every hour or two, it runs quite well on PS5..... the desert looks great, the gliches need to be fixed and the very built up areas need to be optimized. It also needs a 30 fps option with ray tracing and higher quality assets.

Their next game is 5 or more years away, so lets play it by year. This is going to be an experience CDPR will never forget and must learn from....

I have supported them since Day 1 and will continue to do so. I am very grateful for their huge push for DRM-free gaming on PC, generous refund policies on their own storefront, consistent and underrated effort of bringing older and neglected titles to PC, support of Linux, etc.

Switch and PS4 are the majority of the gaming market, so an XBX and PC exclusive would be leaving out the majority of the market. 70% of it in fact

You seem to be missing a hefty chunk of gamers in your calculation, I assume it’s because you don’t consider them gamers and you are better than them, but they drag in ungodly amounts of money.

Which throws all your percentages way off.

For now.... Stadia, Luna and Xcloud are closing that gap rapidly.

In a year or 2 that landscape can completely change (we can see it happening in real time.)

Skip playstation lol. They sold 10 millions copies of Witcher 3 on playstation.

They are gonna be leaving serious money on the table. And people aren't buying the tool box series X just to play it either.

TBH I'm extremely surprised people ever pre-ordered this. I mean, based on what exactly? TW3 was also messy and buggy at launch. Why would you support that? No next gen version at launch for CP. I've seen wrongly spelled words in the game and the most bizarre bugs. What the hell did they do in these 8 years? Until they prove to be able to release a polished game, people should not pre-order CDPR games, no matter the platform.

I'm not boycotting their game, I'm waiting for the next gen patch for PS5. It's not the same.

Thinking on boycotting their next game based in Cyberpunk launch is the same as blindly buy the actual one based on The Witcher 3 final patched version. Wait, make an informed opinion before taking a decision. Mature as consumer.

the sales for this game is much more on PC than Playstation here

Lifetime sales of Witcher 3 are better on PC, but the 3 first years (Full price), W3 on PS4 sold more copies than PC. So PS4 probably was the most profited platform on W3.

Huh? Why would I skip future games? I will buy the next game if it’s in good shape I’m not going to skip anything because of one game!

Lmao, come on man. Its one game.

EA and 2K has been peddling pure shit for a while now, and people still buy it.

This mistake on CDPR is a much needed one for them.

They rode on their high horses - and deserved to be so to an extent - and found that the voice of the people are quick to change tone at the slightest if they dont hold up their bargain.

Now we shall see how they evolve.

From a small company that nobody cares about in Poland, to a major game developer prospect, this was bound to happen.

Only thing is to see where this takes them.

It wasn’t full price for 3 years on PS4, it was heavily discounted regularly.

This is bullshit numbers pulled out of your ass.

You better have some CDPR sales quotes to back this nonsense up.

That will teach CDPR a lesson, well MS should follow suit. X1 version is easily the worst.

Sure bud.

Come talk to me at about halfway through this generation, otherwise please continue that last gen will be the same as this gen talk you love so well.
Stadia was an abject failure, Xcloud is out and has made no impact, Luna is headed for exactly the same fate.

Meanwhile PS5 AND Xbox hardware are breaking records and are nowhere near keeping up with demand. Top of the line PC hardware is more in demand than ever before. And Switch continues on the path of being one of the best selling systems ever

So yeah, when exactly is this massive shift to cloud gaming supposed to happen? Because right now, gamers have shown less than zero interest in it

2015 - PS4 48% PC 31%
2016 - PS4 42% PC 43%
2017 - PS4 35% PC 50%

You can see on the graph 2016 + 2017 = 2015 sales

So PS4 version sold more the first 3 years. Its a fact, now your move fanboy. Even better first year at release (full price with few discounts) PS4 sales are 17% better

Um, we're talking at least a year into the future unless you mean Cyberpunk 2077 DLC, so my answer would be whether my space age PC or PS5 plays it better.

You Said at full price, show us all the Ps sales and all the steam sales so we can measure the spikes.

I wasn’t questioning the demographics and more questioning your at full price comparison.

But you don’t get that and call people fanboys instead.

Even today the GOTY edition is full priced

The fact is the first 3 years the price was higher than now, first full priced vanilla version, after GOTY edition. And that no change I said. The first 3 years PS4 sold more copies, the price on first years is equal or higher.

Here’s the history of just the Witcher 3.

Now do we need to look at the DLCs also and the GOTY edition? They have both been massively discounted just as regularly.

CCProjekt Red can go to hell for all I care.

What they did to millions of PlayStation customers is abysmal and criminal.

Microsoft needs to do the same for their customers or else they will look greedy and pathetic.
CDPR just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about Playstation culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in PC where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in Playstation, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the millions of Playstation customers, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase CDPR games forever. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but CDPR has alienated an entire market with this move.
CDPR, publicly apologize and give refund to all Cyberpunk Playstation customers or you can kiss your business goodbye.

Im sure their investors who seem to be making all their boneheaded decisions would be thrilled to miss out on the majority of the gaming market
> Majority
> The Witcher 3 has sold more copies on PC than all other platforms combined
> 50% of Cyberpunk 2077 preorders were on PC

The game is full priced now guy. Give up

This has to be the ultimate in denial now.

I provided conclusive indisputable proof that it wasn’t always full price over those 3 years and here he is insisting it was and still is to this day.

While admitting it was on sale in year 1.

I would do that if I am CDPR. Instead paying dev to fixing the version which already pulled from store, better to skip and make PC/XBOX exclusive only then.

You got you wanted, I said the first years the price was Full price, and indeed its. Yes, the game is discounted as other games. So the first years where the games got most profit, PS4 version sold more. Its clear what version got more profits.

GOTY version is full price yet. Have discounts? Yes, but even on PC you could get free some months ago on GOG (Because PC version had more "Sales" than other platform combined lol)
