I had the chance to play the Wii U in its prime, finishing off Super Mario 3D World, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, and Mario Kart 8. I enjoyed it, and didn't think about the system until last night.
My girlfriend has had the hardest time acclimating to video games, and it was playing Breath of the Wild at a friends house, where she turned to me and said "Can we play this at home?"
So this gives me two options, picking up a Wii U and a copy of Breath of Wild or investing in a Switch and Breath of the Wild.
After a bit of research, the main hurtle is price:
For around $150, I can get a 32GB Wii U, Zelda, and a Pro controller
For around $450, I can get a New model Switch, Zelda, and a Pro controller
I watched Spawn Wave, Scott the Woz, Beat em Ups, and Wulff Den talk about it and I wanted to hear more about the consensus from NeoGAF about this.
