Nearly all the Sony games shown at the State of Play are also coming to Xbox though.
???
Every Sony first party game shown is not coming to Xbox. Until Dawn 2, Tokon, Wolverine, God of War Laufey.

Meanwhile with Xbox, all first party games shown except for E-Day (which was coming to PS5 and dropped at the last minute given the trailer still had the PS5 logo in some versions) and Clockwork Revolution are all coming to PS5.

Considering the State of Play showed actual Playststion exclusives, its funny that you think Xbox is above Sony. You even put Nintendo below Xbox, you can't be serious.
By my count, the State of Play featured two new Sony exclusive announcements: Until Dawn and GoW:L. I'm sure both will sell well and please fans, but I can see how, as a show, people felt let down.

At least Laufey got gameplay, unlike Ocarina, which was a joke of an announcement.

SGF and Nintendo were both solid.

A couple things I'm interested in for Sony and MS.

Overall, there's a ton of games I'm interested in, so I'm just happy to be a gamer

SGF
State of Play
Nintendo
Xbox (Most of their stuff will be found elsewhere- so it props up other brands more than their own)

Overall, its a good year.

Also Wolverine. I myself didn't claim Sony's show was the best. I am just asking Adam how he thinks Xbox show was better than Sony and Nintendo. Because a new Gears and Fable?

People voting for Nintendo must be trolling ;d Microsoft, Sony and Summer Game Fest were all decent even good but Nintendo Directo was like 4/10 max.

You cannot seriously vote Nintendo. Even I'm one of the biggest Nintendo fan since fucking gaming-age 99 in this place.

It was trash. Borderline Partner / Indie direct material. ~0 footage of Duskblood, ~0 footage of Zelda.

Announcing OOT with nothing to show for it doesn't move the needle, even worse that its 2026 and that's all you could muster.

The only reasonable way to quantify who won is by viewing figures, but who really gives a shit who won?

There are plenty of games from each show that I am pumped about. There's really no need to segregate them.

Dorito Pope's show was the most tradional show and I like most of it. These shows need a bit of pretentious glamour and terrible big name appearances. Those breaks are good, to make the actual stuff shine.
The PC Gamer show was also quite insane from its pacing. Way too many games trying to compete with our attention. Decent quality overall though and not at all a borefest past PC Gamer shows have been.
PS and Xbox quite on par imho. Not super great, hate the uninspired trailer dumping, but nothing was truly terrible.
Nintendo though. What a shitshow. I hate that Direct format since its inception, which others copied. And the games... many late ports or total crap.
Can't wrap my head around the taste of especially japanese people who prefer that offering. If I'd actually wanted a mobile gaming device I'd certainly choose among the Steamdeck alternatives or try Game Native etc on my phone.

Summer Games Fest was the best. Geoff finally made a worthy show. Nintendo had a lot of what I like. Sony was pretty boring to me. I am interested in Wolverine, but the blood and how it washes off constantly were distracting for me.

Also Wolverine. I myself didn't claim Sony's show was the best. I am just asking Adam how he thinks Xbox show was better than Sony and Nintendo. Because a new Gears and Fable?
MS announced a fair number of upcoming projects too. Most aren't my bag, but if you're into shooters, there was a lot of future content shown. That Magicians game tickled my brain.

My idea of a good show is biased towards new announcements too, which is why SGF takes the cake this year.

It's strange, there was a lot of interested games getting announced, but the events and trailers were so bland that blew a lot of excitement that they could generate. Everyone forgot that those events were supposed to be developers talking with the player, not marketing botox based people.

Geoff i think, his best show for a considerable time . The others had some nice moments but SGF was comfortably the most enjoyable imo.

Not feeling the adulation for Xbox's show at all but I kind of expected that because some of the same folk did it when Phil was there and Sony's was pretty meh to say the least.

Well, that depends….
Dunno what you mean I've seen more games to be excited about that I was hoping for (which was 0 lol)

Just with Stellar Blade 2 looking amazing, Dragon's Dogma 2 getting a DLC and OOT getting a remake (that I really hope they don't fuck up) is enough for me.

1. SGF - A-. The pacing, announcements, and Tupac made it wonderful.

2. State of Play - B+. Their first-party is (mostly) clocked out this gen, so the person who signed their third-party deals deserves a big fat bonus. Ill looks fantastic, Ace Combat 8 looks like it's leaning into the right kind of silly, Tomb Raider looked great, etc. UD2 could be something special, and Laufey — after rewatching the entire gameplay thing — is waaaaay more interesting than I initially thought.

3. Xbox Show - C-. Gears looked like Gears, Fable is delayed yet again, Fallout is still a snoozer, Persona 6 trailer wins the award for the most useless trailer since the first announcement of Concord (the space bobblehead trailer), list goes on. Metro and Spyro looked great as did that one game where you play as a bird. Their post show messaging is yet again a clusterfuck of he say/she say. Odd stuff happening over there.

4. Nintendo Direct - F. Could've been an AI email.

there is only one answer it's the SGF

the other shows were all terrible (like it's often the case)

From a multiplatform perspective:

1. SGF
2. Xbox
3. PlayStation
4. Nintendo

Based just on exclusives Nintendo/PlayStation were bad and Xbox was terrible.

- One Piece: Grand Gourmet
- Muramasa
- Pikuniku 2
- Atelier Karia

And these are confirmed to be released on PC as well:
- Kingdom Hearts 4

- Tales of Eternia Remastered
