I vote for a 2015 game Buggy Loop Buggy Loop told me the idea for this thread

Batman Arkham Knight looks like Samaritan Demo never equaled won the graphics war

Arkham Knight'S graphics had no right to look this good in 2015, what the hell. I played it last year and was blown away

I have a thing for 16-bit graphics. Something eternally "gamey" about them. If you're talking best technical graphics then something like FS2020, Cyberpunk, or R&C: Rift Apart would be near the top for me.

I think RDR2 remains the most impressive, but I haven't played cyberpunk yet.
It's telling about diminishing returns that RDR2 on PS4 is prettier than some AAA current generation games.

.... nah, only kidding, Horizon: Forbidden West for me, although, shout out to The Order for still looking stunning. TLOU 2 has to be up there also.

And why do people say 'and it's not even close' when it is close, no matter which of the top looking games you pick?

As a concept artist using my optics and experience I think I'm a have to agree with you on Arkham Knight. Usually in videogames it's either the tech is incredibly good but the visual style suffers or vice versa (excellent visual style but the tech suffers); However, Arkham Knight is a rare case where it excels ridiculously well on both spectrum's of tech and visual style. The people that worked on this game is in a totally different class of skill, it's not normal.

Not even Epic Games would of pulled off Arkham Knight in my opinion.

And then they go and make Suicide Squad as their next game... where all of that is completely absent. Very weird and sad.

We ain't outta here in ten minutes, we won't need no rocket to fly through space
RDR2 / TLOU2 for realistic, far as I remember.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is what I want more games to look like.

Thought that the FF7 Remake looked better honestly. It’s also my answer for this thread…

FFVII Remake
The ambient lighting in FF7 Remake is the best I've ever scene and I'm surprised it rarely gets talk about. They consulted an actual real interior lighting specialist to help out with setting it up. There were times in the game in a building where I would just stare at lights astonished at how realistic they seemed.
