these games are now fully owned by Microsoft/Xbox

are we actually about to see 2 games coming out as timed exclusive games on PlayStation 5 that both will have Xbox Game Studio logos in their intros?

or do you think Microsoft was able to get out of that deal?
also, was Death Loop delayed specifically so they have time to port it over to the Series S|X?

this is a really weird situation lol

MS might jump out of the contract, but will probably have to pay Sony for breaking it.... Otherwise, business as usual, both games will continue with the announced.

I honestly think that MS will follow the contracts. It's trivial.

It's been announced. Deals signed.
The games will appear on Sony consoles.
Sequels TBD by Microsoft.

Similar to acquisition deals like Insomniac (owns SSOD IP), Obsidian (Outer Worlds 1 multi-plat, but MS owns IP and sequel rights).

Interesting. Imagine if these two games are a complete hit as Playstation exclusives, and then their sequels become Xbox exclusives.
Deathloop is timed anyways.

Imagine announcing one of your biggest deals ever on the eve of opening up pre-orders for your console and saying 'but we'll be releasing these games elsewhere'.

There's a reason it was announced yesterday and not last month or the next, to drive pre-orders of Xbox, not drive up demand for other devices.

There's literally zero reason for them to release these titles on Playstation. I'll put a years gold wager on it.

Personally, I think case by case means they're going to see how their HW performs. If the PS5 pulls away from them, which is likely to happen when they have Japan and EU on lock, they'll more than likely release those games on PS5. People have to remember, just like with their previous acquisitions, we won't be seeing most of the fruit of them until 2022 and beyond.

Xcucks literally funding PS5 exclusives in 2021.

Fomy Fanboi forgets Sony freaking out with the possibility of Minecraft having a Microsoft logo on the title page, and intergrating Xbox Live as the login system.

Although talking seriously, it is only console warring fuckwits who care about this bollocks.

Pretty mental MS are serving up PS exclusives, but they do get to bank the profits.

They should go the whole hog an give PS games like Forza Horizon and Flight Sim. Lots of profit to be made from a large user base that have not experienced these titles at all.
