Can't decide whether to call them Biowas, Biowere, or Bionoware.
Ooh, I like Biowere.
Can't decide whether to call them Biowas, Biowere, or Bionoware.
Where does EA buying Bioware rank on the worst gaming acquisitions ever list?
Oh my god who gives a fucking goddamn fuck about Bioware. The last good game they made was ten years ago. TEN. Mass Effect 2 was the last game that BioWare made. ME3 is shit. DAO is shit. MEA is shit. Anthem is shit. It's a shit company that plasters the word "BioWare" on games that they produce under EA.
BioWare is DEAD. Jesus fucking christ Why the FUCK are they even news.
"This just in. A fucking turd has developed spores of mold on it." WOW. BREAKING NEWS
Sorry I'm drunk and Dragon Age 2 was so fucking bad. Jesus
Just crash and burn already you fucking cocksuckers. You're 3 years overdue at least. I'll never, ever forget how they romanced and wined n' dined me for a few years with the brilliance and emotional rollercoasters that were ME1&2, and then dry fucked me in the ass with that goddawful ME3, and then acted like it was my fault for not liking an ass fucking.
Why anyone would be excited for a remastered Mass Effect Trilogy is beyond me. That series stands as one of the best examples of wasted potential, and one of the most aggressively forced and nonsensical endings I've ever witnessed. 8 years I've been waiting for this company to die like the rest of the developers bought out by EA. And 8 years I've watched them make one highly embarrassing fumble after another, and yet they still won't die. This studio is a fucking Zombie of it's former self, and it keeps taking bullets all over over it's body, but not it's brain. Am I really supposed to give a shit about DA4 and the next Mass Effect after Andromeda and Anthem? And now Mark Darrah and Casey Hudson abruptly leave?
Bioware have not been industry leaders since ME2, which was a decade ago. I don't know why EA keeps them around. They had no problem absorbing some the other studios they bought out almost immediately, but for some reason these retards get to keep developing shitty games.
Reading the good bye letters it is interesting that Samantha Ryan is mentioned so prominently as one of the strongest leaders in the industry by Laura Miele yet the two people who are leaving do not mention her at all, nor do they mention Laura Miele.
It comes across as this was not a collegial departure. No way of knowing for sure but odd for sure.
Ooh, I like Biowere.
Not sure whether this is good news or bad news?

I don't buy the EA narrative anymore either. Clearly Bioware themselves have some issues. It's not like EA tells them to make bad games. That doesn't make them any money.Until the Anthem shitstorm, I used to blame EA for everything bad that happened with Bioware, but I'm not that sure since then.
It seems that Bioware's management is beyond terrible, and them being one of the first studios to get full SJW-Woke also doesn't help.
With that said, it's my honest opinion that Bioware is dead since 2010. It's a matter of time until the studio officially shuts down.

What the fuck's with the game industry these days? They hold their jobs as long as coaches in the NBA.
The biggest issue witThat's a lot of companies that get acquired by EA and have to do as EA directs and then go to shit, they can't all be coincidences
And I'd argue that if you're making a single player story focused rpg and EA says make the combat simpler and more accessible to people who don't like rpgs and add multiplayer with in game purchases like loot boxes I'd say that IS telling them to make bad games
Loot boxes had nothing to do with Anthem and Mass Effect Andromeda failing. Making the combat "simpler" had nothing to do with either of those games failing. That's a lot of companies that get acquired by EA and have to do as EA directs and then go to shit, they can't all be coincidences

I think Schreier even debunked the EA thing already.
ppfffHAHAHAHAHAAAHAME: Andromeda were somewhat decent and finished games
EA make more money than ever thanks to microtransactions and EA access. They don't make as many games though.I feel like EA is circling the drain honestly. They are apparently cheap enough that MS was able to get all of their games on gamepass. I would not be surprised if they are bought or sold off piece by piece in the near future.
EA didn't write the games or decided to put uninteresting quests in the games. They didn't shorthorn narrative elements in that didn't make sense. Even Inquisition wasn't that fun by a lot of people's standards.I'm saying their output got worse before it starting failing on the level of Andromeda (e.g. the much hated mass effect 3 ending.) I really don't think the Mass Effect series would have gone in the direction it went if EA wasn't the one who acquired them. I see a consistent pattern of EA acquiring studios and who then become worse.
Honestly Andromeda was not THAT bad, it went viral because of the faces animations but I enjoyed it overall.
A Message From Laura Miele, Chief Studios Officer, Electronic Arts
We strive for all of our studios to be places where talented creative people come to do career-defining work. A dimension of this ambition is that sometimes those people want to try something diffe…blog.bioware.com
I would yes in the fact that they want another MMO like hybrid game that does not cost much to make and can be filled with digital content to sell.Depends. Do you think EA wants another Anthem?
He's also the one that invented Mass Effect in the first place.Casey Hudson... finally! This fucker was responsible for the disaster that is called the ending of mass effect 3. I will never forget.
It doesn't matter how you start, it does matter how you finish...He's also the one that invented Mass Effect in the first place.
How does incompetent people like this one still getting jobs?
That's one philosophy... Another one might be;It doesn't matter how you start, it does matter how you finish...

Bioware makes a statement that 2 people have left and no real other information. This board "ITS A LIBRUL PURGE. THEY HATE MEN”
A lot of people left because of EA though. Several of the prominent writers on ME1&2 particularly quit sighting EA interference being the main reason, in particular Chris L'Etoile who wrote Legion and basically all the hard sci fi underpinnings, that kept the more fantastical space opera stuff grounded.Bioware definitely started declining around that time (see the horrible Dragon Age 2), but I really doubt it is as simple as the EA acquisition. They had some major, major success and people left and they suddenly became a very different studio both internally and externally. People need to stop blaming EA for everything. I really doubt EA corporate interjected to turn the ending from brilliant to horrible. Bioware screwed that game up.
EA is not the one to blame here, but Bioware's management and project leads who took five years to figure out the concept for a new IP (Anthem) and wasted more than half of Andromeda's development time on making some sort of No Man's Sky-like Mass Effect game - something that wasn't even possible on XOne/PS4 hardware.
Were they fucking?
