I would evaluate it the same as any other game. If I liked it, I would buy it. Bungie won me as a fan, so I'm likely to buy whatever the heck they make next. Slapping Halo on a game from another developer doesn't do anything for me one way or the other. (See: Halo Wars.)

Is the missle pod also missing from Sandtrap Covies? One of my last games on that map I couldn't find it. So many people under-estimate the missle pod on that map, I always make a bee-line for it when the round starts. Usually end up toasting a Warthog right off the bat.

Exactly my point. I like Bungie as a developer because there quality and greatness shows in their work. You knew with each halo game being made that it would be of high standards, everything from the music, UI menus, graphics, controls, EVERYTHING.

I would hate to see a future Halo game that just was not up to par due to a different developer is all.

I cant wait to see what Bungie is making next.

Urk I love you. I've always felt that Isolation was a fun map. Objective games are not as good on this map, but it's great, otherwise. I'm always miffed when people veto it. Some of the best frantic battles in Halo3 are on this map.

As for Sandtrap, obviously, I don't like sandtrap because I'm not a huge fan of lots of vehicles. A bigger problem is that the cover you do have is caged. You basically don't do anything if you run around through the structures. You have to step outside and that's when you get pwned by the vehicles. You can camp on top of the middle structure and exchange fire back and forth from either end, but that is kind of dull for me. Ultimately, I just feel that this map is too open and unorganized. The boundaries are to spread out and there is no reason to wander out to the edge of the map. There is no real reason to go anywhere on this map, in my opinion.

I guess I get used to the maps playing one way...giving everyone BR's from the jump changes everything about the map and makes some weapons useless.

This list is the correct list:

1. Standoff
2. Construct
3. The Pit
4. Narrows
5. Isolation
6. Last Resort


Sandtrap = total bullshit excuse for a map
Did I mention that I dislike vehicles?:D Standoff has vehicles, but at least it is put together well and gives someone on foot, plently of protection. The same goes for Last Resort.
 
Awesome games tonight Domino, Urk, Spud, and Voltron. Aside from the "Bubble Shield incident" on Last Resort, I had a blast -- no pun intended. :)

IIRC, there are only rockets on both sides. There may be one missle pod somewhere though.

It seemed like every time I would encounter the opposing team, they would instantly throw down a bubble shield or two so I started to get a bit...irritated.

doubles ranking is so confusing. I've got a buddy who ranked up to 45 in 80 games, meanwhile a friend and I win 13 out of 14 games tonight and we go up two ranks each (27 to 29, 14 to 16).

it's bizarre

It is true I leveled up quite fast in Doubles myself.

Its because you were a 27, and he was a 14.

When you have that big of a skill gap its much harder to level up.

speaking of which, i wish you could organize the Friend list into groups, so I could remember who is GAF and who is the random annoying person who friended me cause I had recon.
 
anyone know what is up with theater lobby?

i can't view any movies last couple days.

get error message that this used can not view custom content.

i've changed no settings anywhere and can still create custom games .

what gives?

is it down for everyone?

Check your 360 privacy settings.

From Xbox.com --> Manage Profile --> Privacy Settings --> Member Content

Member Content needs to be set to "Everyone" in order to access user-created content in Halo 3.
