It took seven hours to write those four sentences?
It's Reflection. I like it. I just want to hear Bungie talk about Halo 3's ending. The Lamonster said:Hmmmm so what was the point of this ViDoc, anyway? Seems like a big 'ol waste of everybody's time. That shit was SO 6 years ago.
LukeSmith said:Catch is too much for me on Heroic. Brutes and grunts are hurtling grenades at you like the The Big Unit.

Hey, welcome back.Stinkles said:It's for folks who've never heard of Halo and are curious about what the story is. Most 360 owners have not finished Halo, nor bought all the novels.

That's understandable, I was just hoping to see something like "Afterthoughts: Halo 3"

Oh and the opening of Greatest Journey is beautiful.
Damn I just listened to Never Forget on my high end cd player, I'm man enough to admit I had a lump in my throat.

Yep, that was my assessment after doing it on legendary. Didn't care for the look, loved the gameplay it provided.Instigator said:Anyone warming up to the level Crow's Nest on Legendary? The level is still largely ugly, Drones still suck, HOWEVER many of the encounters with the Brutes are fun.
I think the Brute encounters there are some of the best pure Brute encounters in the game. I would have preferred to do very little (if any) backtracking, despite the familiar history of the series has in the whole 'backtracking' field. I mean, really, how many times do we have to go to that damn control room?Instigator said:Anyone warming up to the level Crow's Nest on Legendary? ToyMachine228 said:Still though, the one thing that's holding me back the most is the melee. I can play with it the way it is, I'm not that big of a baby, it's just annoying me a little bit that aside from a few comments, it's being ignored. From our perspective at least.
Sounds like they're working on it. Frankie, how about you guys look into why I suck so much, and what can be done so that I don't consistently lose to my obnoxious younger brother?Frankie said:There are many issues that were investigating, so bear in mind that just because you dont see something mentioned here, doesnt mean were not looking into it. Its almost certain in fact, that we are. Were already looking into issues with melee, with parties being split unevenly in matchmaking, slow matchmaking, skill levels and much, much more.
Revengeance said:Sounds like they're working on it.
I find "excessive frags" most often in Construct, but it's bound to happen when there's bunch of bodies around the vents.Domino Theory said:Holy crap. That was an AMAZING Weekly Update. Frankie comes back with a bang. I loved it. Addressed almost everything I was concerned about (he didn't talk about the excessive frag grenades, but that's okay, since he said just because it's not listed doesn't mean it's not being worked on)
To each his own. I don't see it as a HUGE problem. But it isn't consistent.Deputy Moonman said:The melee is a pretty big thorn in the side for me. Anything is better than the way it is.
I agree. They aren't using all the maps in multiplayer as they can, or should, compared to what they did for Halo 2.I like how they are going to change some of the weapon layouts on different maps. It might make some of the maps that didn't feel quite right, a lot better. And the more maps that can be released, the better the game will be. Because I still think the map variety is the single worst part of Halo3's multiplayer.
AR is great. There aren't any needs for BR starts in normal matches. How is everyone feeling about the AR? I can't stand it. I can hardly wait for Team Hardcore to arrive. I'll never have to be separated from my beloved BR ever ever again.![]()

Well I submitted entries to it just about every day (three times a day once I realized I could do enter that many times). I was hoping to win one of those exclusive blue-spartan figurines they were awarding or maybe even the halo console. I certainly wouldn't have turned down the free trip to texas to have a voice cameo in Halo Wars. I already had the Legendary edition reserved at the time and never win anything from these contests so I figured there wasn't much chance of me wining the Legendary Editions they were awarding... Silly me. :lol
I didn't hear anything from the contest (no email or regular mail) so I figured I didn't win anything. But then the UPS guy came by the other day and delivered not one box, not two boxes, and no not even three boxes; he delivered Four big boxes each with a Halo 3 Legendary edition! These things are supposed to be 'rare' and now I have five of them sitting in my living room. (I bought the one I had reserved.)
I haven't decided what to do with my unexpected riches yet. Selling them on ebay and/or giving them away as Christmas gifts have come to mind. (problem with the latter is that most of the people I know who would want halo3 already have it.) Anyone have some advice? I'm sure I could just leave them sitting around unopened but that seems like such a waste.

WrikaWrek said:So i just popped in the game again because i actually missed Master Chief, and i wanted to take a look at it after all the crazy launch hype. (The new VIDOC helped)
And holy damn, if i'm not more impressed now (after playing all those amazing games since) then backthen.
Seriously, COD4 combat made me appreciate HAlo 3 combat all that more, even after playing the Orange box, playing Halo 3 feels like a step beyond any of those games.
But what really hit me were the graphics. I was one of those that was underwhelmed by them at launch, and since then i've played very very beautifull games like Assassins Creed and COD4 and Uncharted for example....and again, holy damn i don't know why but i was impressed by the damn graphics. I don't know what happened but imo this is flatout one of the best looking games of this gen so far. I guess when you start looking at how it looks instead of how Bungie promised it would look you finally start seeing the big picture.

You're going about things the wrong way. Halo 3 looks beautiful and consistent with the other Halo games. I don't know what you expected. The water in particular looks better than any other video game water I've seen - and most gamers will agree with me.thekad said:Fixed.

Thermite said:I don't know if I'd agree that it has the best looking water, but it's certainly up there with the best. I think the title of having the best water would have to go to either Bioshock or Crysis. I completely agree with your other comment, however. Halo 3 is a magnificent looking game; both in terms of graphics and art.

guess we dont get to see what happens...
I'm playing through the game on Legendary and it's almost a walk in the park compared to the shitstorm that is Call of Duty 4 on Veteran. I thought I was going to get my ass handed to me, but I'm holding my own.Blader5489 said:Woo! Just completed the game on Legendary solo. Took little over a week. Extremely frustrating in (many) parts, but very satisfying in the end. Great, great game.
Did anyone else think that Cortana and Halo were much easier on Legendary?
