Why aren't my screenshots showing up on bungie? I took them, and they supposedly uploaded, yet they aren't up on the site (keep in mind I took the shots ~20mins ago)

*sigh*

Here we go again: Is this the first time youre taking screen shots? If so you have to add them to your file share from your 360 console and then take them from your file share on Bnet and add them to your Hi Res screen shots.

THEN after you do this once it will be automatic for every screen shot you take. ie They will upload automatically.

There's a second skull on Cortana? :|
Yes sir. In the room with the three fusion pylons
(before you reach Cortana).

When you first enter the room, there's a Covie crate directly to your left. You use it to jump further to the left, on top of a broken structure. And then walk back towards the right, above where you would normally be headed. And then you'll see it. The hard part is jumping off the crate - once you've done that it's easy to walk around above everything.

The skull doesn't do anything, though. So we don't know if it's purposeless, or if it has to be "activated" via certain actions. If so, then it's a skull not listed by silhouette in the campaign options menu. Which would be interesting because that'd open the door for any number of extra, secret skulls.

One more thing, who voices the Prophet? He sounds just like Terrance Stamp, but IMDB doesn't say who voices him.
You're right, it's Terence Stamp.

Oh and I had like 600 headshot awards according to the meta campaign, but I didn't get the achievement.

Ummm, I hope I'm missing something, but it tells you to do nothing for a Linksys router on step 2... That's retarded. http://tommccann.net/live/step2.html

WTF :lol

im sorry, I use a D link router and when I did this, I had noticed the linksys thing, but never read it because I don't use that. But when I read your post, I figured it would help, but now that you pointed that out...lol.

why the fuck would they just stop right there and not give the rest of the information...

that is so stupid...sorry bro

Quick question,
Is the Brute Mauler in SP? Or have I just been painfully unlucky and haven't found one?
It's there. I noticed it in the level Cortana, but didn't actually pick it up.

Open chat in 4v4 matches with your party in both ranked and unranked. Not sure off the top of my head what the chat settings were for custom games. And you must be an amazing player to really notice the fraction of a second you've lost in either movement or looking to tap up on the D-pad, that's genuinely impressive, kudos.
It's still a tad annoying never really knowing whether you'll have to press a button to be heard or not for any given playlist.

I am sure this has been asked 423 times, but this thread is too hard to keep up with so if anyone can answer itd be great. Concerning the skulls...if you find one, you just pick it up real quick, and its activated?

Yes sir. It's activated in the sense that it opens up that option for you in the campaign lobby.

Great. Thanks. I just found my first one while playing Sierra 117. And you don't have to carry it around the rest of the mission right?

Right. The instant you pick it up, you're done. You can drop it immediately.

Thrasher, in the port forward section try making 3 rules...so on the three lines where it says application

have one say live1, live2, then live3.

start and end on live1 = 88
start and end on live2 = 2074
start and end on live3 = 3074

keep protocol for both on all 3

and then change 192.168.1.250 for all 3

then enable all 3 and save it...then go onto step 3 on the D Links section..

that should work...

basically i just transferred the D link info to the linksys, but in essence..it should work, at least worth a try.

Is that before or after the Tilt Skull ?

After. Just like I said, it's in the room with the three fusion pylons
(that you end up destroying).

2 questions.

1)About skulls, is it possible for everyone in a co-op game to get and unlock them by having one person pick it up, get the achievement (if there's one tied to it), and the the second player can just pick it right up where you dropped it and also unlock it and give that person the achievement as well?

2)Perhaps I'm just totally missing something, but none of my friends or I can figure out campaign scoring, and how it totals it at the end. For each mission the achievement benchmark is based on individual scoring. But for example, I played 2 player with a friend this morning on Heroic with one skull activated, giving a 1.5x multiplier. If I understand correctly, deaths, the skull multiplier, and any kill multipliers add up in realtime, and only the time multiplier is added at the end, correct? This is where we get confused: at the end of one level (before going to the scoring screen), we had cooperative scoring on, so we both reflected a score of 14,783. Now on the final mission screen, I had 18 thousand something, and my friend 17 thousand something. Where the heck does the discrepancy come from? Our time bonus was 2.5x, but that was only applied to our combined total score, which was thirty-something thousand. This also confuses me because in earlier matches our individual scores would be say 12k on the first level, and there would be a 2.0x time bonus, so our total would be whatever, but we wouldn't get the achievement since our individual was under 15k. But if the time bonus only affects the team score, BUT the team score apparently doesn't matter for shit, what is the point?

I have no idea if that makes any sense or not. Basically we don't understand why our individual totals are totally different from the end of the level to the scoring screen, and why the time bonus only applies towards a total score which doesn't unlock anything.

OHHH. I was having difficulty understanding what the fusion pylons are.

Alrighty, thanks, I guess I'm going to look for it.

When I played co-op it gave everyone the achievement once the first player picked it up. There was no need for anyone else to even touch it. But I don't know if that applies to silver skulls. Since we couldn't immediately see an achievement to show that we had it, we all took turns picking up the silver skulls to be sure that we got them.

I don't know about the second question.

Anyone up for 4 player coop? I just beat the campaign on solo, I'll post impressions later. But for now, I must jump right back in. It's that good.

That may a first player only thing. What specifically happened was I was in a game as 3rd player, found a skull (quite by accident, had a bizarre spawn), and I picked it up and got the achievement/unlock, but the people I was playing with did not. They wound up getting it the same game since we all died, and from the checkpoint he went and got it (other people were guests). Hm.

How do you pick the skulls... i swear I was standing in front of one for 5 minutes and couldn't grab it... goddammit =P

Hold down the right bumper just like you would to pick up anything else - a weapon or an oddball skull.

Omg, Live is still having problems? Halo 3. :lol

Hey there's a little something called private chat on XBL. You can join that with your friends and talk through everything.
Only for chat between two guy.

missing out on a great single player experience and a super fun multiplayer game because you have to press, not hold, a button on the d pad to talk, isn't rational or picky, it's amazingly stupid.

your loss though buddy.
Excuse me, who are you exactly to tell me that it's amazingly stupid ?

Don't treat me like an idiot, I know that I don't have to hold it.

Really, I never though that people could be so narrow minded. It's simple, for me there is no "super fun multiplayer game" when I have to press fucking press a button to talk.

We speak almost all the time. There is something to say almost every time when games are intense. Someone did a pretty kill ? "Oh sweet", "Lucky". Someone helped you ? "Thanks !" Something funny happened ? "Haha" Want to warn somebody "Behind you !" Want to speak about what happened before or even what you did at work ? "blablabla"
And I have to press a button every time for that ? I say no. You say yes, you're free to do it if you believed that you don't have better to do.

Nothing vital, we agree on it, but all these sentence is what it gives spirit to the party. It's what it gives fun, it's all the point of playing with friends.
If I don't want to chat, I play with strangers. And they probably play better. And now it's probably what I will do till TF2 or COD4 release. But it's not what I am searching for. Period.

Oh please, don't start being ironic.
I never thought that was a correct way to answer to "fans" or "clients".

Oh yes I forgot, you have my money... Seriously let Ferrex handle this kind of relation. He's far better than you.

In a duel, to stop dodging for a fraction of a second asking for help can be lethal.

In fact, I don't even know why I am arguing. No really what are you trying to imply ? That speaking freely is not more convenient than having to press a button ? Mmmh...

Ha! I freaking knew it

When he first popped on screen during the jammed transmission segment, I kept waiting for him to scream KNEEL, MASTER CHIEF! KNEEL BEFORE ZOD

It's absolutely more convenient which is why you can do it in 4v4 and smaller matches, which is where the majority of the games take place in Halo. Now, could it have been left open chat for Big Team? Sure, but there's a cost associated with voice and packet loss and all kinds of things that could potentially degrade performance for you or other players as party sizes get bigger. So that's the trade off, PTT with five or more.

I don't think you understand what ironic means.

You're trying to talk to people in the middle of a duel?

I'll be honest with you, I'm a reasonably decent player and not only do I easily use the button to talk, I also flip the mute button on my controller when I'm not speaking to prevent the chance of accidently coughing or making any other distracting noise.

i just grabbed my 360 controller and measured.

it's less than an INCH from the left thumbstick to the d-pad.

if an inch is what is preventing you from playing an excellent game just because you're too fucking lazy to move your thumb less than an inch to the d-pad to easily press a button once to talk, a move that i once again calculated to be LESS THAN A SECOND to push and then return to the thumbstick, then i'll give you one guess as to what that is.

get it yet?

it's fucking stupid.

I just turned my Xbox on... there was an error screen (E-28 or something? I actually panicked and turned it off) with one red ring. Please don't tell me the RROD is going to kick my ass.

In the back, or the "butt" on the second level of the Scarab, there's a small door on the sides. Walk on in, the room should be red, and shoot the glowy thing. Boom.

EDIT: Butt joke beaten.

Having a blast so far but I'm surprised its not getting more hell for the graphics which is just terrible in comparison to other 360 games. I have seen better textures in games like Kameo and PDZ. Theater mode is original and great but sucks you need gold to upload a image.
