The first two are probably the best in the game, you shouldn't really bother with the rest unless you can stomach aliasing.Cerrius said:I'm only on the second mission but from what I've played, these 2 missions alone KILL anything in Halo 2. great job bungie
Normally I can spot screen tearing pretty easily, but I don't see it in any of these pics. All I see are some AA issues.widgetraf said:Ok, I'm having screen tearing while playing 2 player versus on Epitaph. I tried it on Isolation but didn't notice anything as significant as Epitaph.
Anyone else getting this? Look at the top part of the top half. I get it when I spin around in circles.

I disagree. : ) I consider some of the later levels to be some of the best FPS levels ever created.FFChris said:Srsly?

Live/B.net are having problems right now. Matchmaking is down and parts of the Marketplace are unavailable. Give it a bit.JdFoX187 said:Ok...I know this has been asked before. But I took a couple screenshots and uploaded them to my file share. I can download them off Bungie.net if I wanted to. But when I go into "Recent Screenshots" it says I haven't taken any. What do I do?
Now I see it. Yikes.FFChris said:There are massive tears in all the pictures, it took me a while to notice as well.

Cuckooo said:Yeah, I am signed in and connected my gamertag. I was playing H2 earlier today and thats updated fine.
I'm pretty sure I've linked it properly, because of the Halo 2 stats. Also did notice Live was being a bit funny earlier, maybe that has something to do with it otherwise I don't know what the hell is going on..
Ta for the replies.

Xbox Live (and therefore Bungie.net) currently has some 'issues' namely the fact that it's barely working. Xbox.com, My Xbox, B.net, Xbox Live Arcade and the Xbox Live service itself all seem to be affected. Expect stuff to not be working.
There.

Mission 5 was pretty good
And that's as far as I am.

GhaleonEB said:Holy crap the audio on my new HDTV sucks. I noticed things sounded "off" in Bioshock, but having played the game on another HDTV (Aquos) yesterday, I'm floored. I can barely hear the music, all the sound effects lack "punch" and lots of them are entirely inaudable. The AR sounds like a whisper; even my old SDTV made it sound powerful. Not sure if I've got it configured wrong or what, but it's almost unplayable since I can't make out most of what's going on.
Crap.

That's tearing, and that's messed up. I believe I've seen that fixed through screen/resolution settings... try fiddling with your 360's display settings. 720p is really the ideal setting for Halo 3, the tearing could be as a result of the 1080 upscaler. Afraid I'm not an expert, sorry. (Whatever happened to standard resolutions and plug and play consoles? Sigh.)widgetraf said:Ok, I'm having screen tearing while playing 2 player versus on Epitaph. JB1981 said:Man, what's the deal with the 5.1 sound mix? The gun volume is so low. It appears they mixed the guns across the entire front sound stage so turning up your center channel levels does basically nothing. I had to turn up the decibel count almost 10-fold across the front speakers just to get some oomph from my guns. The beta had the same problems but they weren't as bad because there wasn't music present to drown out the guns.
Can this be patched? This is the only game on either next-gen console that I've had this problem with.
:eekpooteeweet said:You're using your TV for audio? Didn't you get a budget HDTV? One of the first things to go when they cut costs on TV is any sort of decent speakers. You really should be running a 5.1 setup anyway. I know you're price conscious, but even a shitty $200 5.1-in-a-box setup will give you better sound than the most expensive of TVs.

Just got home with my Collector's Edition. Opened it and there were only a few scratches so I decided to stick with it. The case was really crappily made though. Ugh.
Anyway, running the Bonus Disc before playing the game first to use the calibration tool isn't going to pop out huge spoilers on me right?

Masta_Killah said:Sounds more like your sound system is the problem. Might want to check what sound settings it is on. Mine is on Cinematic Movie mode and I can hear the guns just fine. When I switched it to surround mode, I could barely hear the guns being fired.

The sound really is terrible. Like, I don't-want-to-play-it terrible. None of the ~10 reviews I read for the TV ever mentioned sound problems.
Monkey nuts. Time to dig around. The wife is going to just LOVE this one.

and why did bungie take my emblem away? it was in h2, it was in the h3 beta, and yet theyve removed it. it looked sort of like the current delta emblem.
pooteeweet said:As usual, there's a trade off between price and quality. It would be great if you could spend $1000 on a proper 5.1 setup, but seeing as how that probably isn't an option, a 5.1-in-a-box setup is a viable alternative, especially when your other option is tinny TV speakers.
Yeah, I have a nice 5.1 system, but I definately prefer to use headphones when I'm playing alone.plague said:Do you have a decent pair of headphones? You might try that as an alternative.
