You could kill hours just taking screenshots. Rewind is a bit flaky but an awesome feature either way, more games should do this. 2nd place on four player slayer will have to be it for now, gonna do some campaign before I gotta clock out. Can't believe I managed to get this on on 90 minutes notice. :lol
 
Now that things have settled somewhat. Does anyone know if the asian version is region free? I'd just really like to save these 15$ if I can.
 
Holy shit, I feel bad for people that actually camped out at 9pm at my local Gamestop. I got there at 11:30, and was about #200 in line, and I was out of there by 12:15.
 
The online count is at 50k now. Damn. And these are just some of the luckier ones, those standing in line for midnight openings. Wait until the masses get a hold of it.

Also, cool, there are 3 new guides on Bnet's front page.

Edit: Jumped to 60k while typing that. :lol
 
I just got home with the game. Do 3 other Gaffers who haven't played single player yet want to start up a 4 player co-op?

So far I've put in about 40 mins, and to anyone who says this is Halo 2 HD is full of shit. I know I haven't put much time in, but I'm already wowed by the graphics.

I just got back from waiting in line for five hours. I had to say that the night was made of win and awesome seeing as 1. the Gamestop guy started playing some Halo music and Halo trival game (losers got an empty Halo 3 case with a crotch shot of a Spartan saying, "You got teabagged!", 2. a woman in line somehow tore out of the ass of her pants ( she wasn't wearing any bloomers :D ), 3. some guys from a relgious website were trying to compare the launch of Halo 3 to the return of Christ, all while trying to get the response of the crowd on tape.
 
I'm probably missing the obvious from being tired, but how do you permanently keep replays saved to the hard drive?
 
Awesome to see the gaming community of my town come together at our local GameStop for tonight's midnight launch. Was AWESOME, the game looks GREAT and is chocked full of features!

The game is fucking amazing! :D My only gripe is that I keep pressing X thinking I'm reloading. God knows how many special shields and nade types I've wasted by now... It's all my fault though. :lol

I was watching Goldeneye, and then commercial. But before the commercial, there was this one black dude saying "This is HAAAALLLLLOOOOOOO!!!!!!":lol :lol :lol
 
has anyone else tried out the h1 & h2 cinematics. i'm really really disappointed in the quality of the video. :(

my legendary edition box is kinda smashed too, which is really disappointing. kudos to MS for not stacking discs ala Blue Dragon, though.

haven't tried the game yet.

there were about 100 people at the gamestop i went to. they were handing out free Dew at both the nearest walmart and the EB Games. there were even several girls in line picking up copies for themselves. the one near me, i wans't entirely convinced she was a gamer (though she mentioned playing guitar hero 2). i thought she may have just been looking for new clients.

12 hours until I can play... friend picked it up now, but he has an early class, so after that, we're just gonna get our game on with a hugeass plasma :D
 
All this talk of long lines has me nervous...

Can I walk into a store with 200 copies - half an hour after it opens in the morning and easily pick one up?

If there were any shortages, that would be absolutely ridiculous.

Are you using VGA or HDMI? I hope my HDMI to DVI image will be pretty good.
 
story is so disappointing :( been playing since 2 pm today (Microsoft had my zip code wrong so I didn't get it on Saturday like the rest of the media :( )

It only took 5 hours to complete.

I think it is more of a strong desire to play it right now.
