UK paper the Sun gace Halo 3 a great full page preview with a lovely screen.
Nothing that would appeal to the hardcore but a lot of softcore gamers read this paper.

I watched the new VidDoc on the Marketplace last night and it got me really psyched for Saved Films and Forge. I'm still looking forward to the Campaign more than anything, but the VidDoc really got me excited. I loved the part where the guy Gravity Hammers the oncoming Warthog, and then sticks it with a Plasma Grenade.

2 things about that gif. I love the "hop" as the hammer connects. You can practically feel the power. Also, I love the physics of the warthog, how it can drive with only one tire on the ground. Even though it drives appropriately crazy.

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I havn't found an answer yet. About the potential game type with two teams, and two monitors, spawning items for their team, etc. Does the map's currency get split between the monitors, so one guy can't just spawn the most expensive items right off the bat, with the other left with nothing?

I wonder how quick the transition is from any weapon to the hammer. Like in Halo 2 you could have the sword as secondary and whip that bad boy out in a split second. Now I remember hearing that the sword in 3 has a slight delay, does the same apply for the Gravity Hammer?
Just curious because the last second you could get swatted away like a fly without even seeing that hammer in hand.

You should see what I can do on Sandtrap, deleted everything on the map that I could, then piled fusion coils inside the elephant, and when I ran out of them I put in a load of vehicles like the mongoose, a ghost, and a couple of scorpions. I then played about with setting the whole thing off, from standing atop the elephant and grenading it, to firing at a fusion coil with the spartan laser from a downed pelican. In the end, the most prolific way came when I obtained a Brute Chopper and boosted inside a little gap in the elephant, which caused a monumental explosion and my Spartan to catapult across the map in a blaze of technicolour glory.

Well, just got back from the local store, and they ain't budging - at all.
Not even to someone they know personally - Microsoft really put the fear in them, damn...
But, I didn't leave empty-handed!
Picked up the official Strategy Guide for Halo 3, which I read was also street-dated in the States - but I guess it's either not enforced up here, or they didn't know - woohoo! I still have it sealed, but it says that it has exclusive art in it, which is why I bought it mainly, plus the overhead views of the Campaign and multiplayer levels as well...
It also says that it's spoiler-free, so that's good to know when I flip through the multiplayer map section, and accidentally stumble into the Campaign section by mistake... :lol
I'll most likely only look at the maps that are officially released, I still want to be surprised when I get the game, even for multiplayer...
