my first thought was that it resembled ryu hayabusa's headpiece thing -- maybe this is bungie's reciprocation for the spartan guest character in doa4. looks really cool, anyway -- i hope it doesn't require crazy multiplayer skill to unlock

I'm not using the default Mark VI. I haven't decided but I'm thinking Mark V, CQB, or ODST.

As for my avatar.. Kitty avatar + secondary cowboy hat option = win.
 
Oh! Also - I'm not sure if this was true, but I somewhat remember hearing that each set of armor has specific stat bonuses as well.

CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE AMAZING

I know this is pretty obvious, but FORGE is EXACTLY what all FPSes needed to bring something fresh to the genre.

You have to get a good amount of EXP in MP to get the Mark V. I forget the exact number...

Yeah, I plan on getting it at midnight. I'm actually going to cruise down to my EB at like 12:30. I'm hoping the line won't be as bad.

The problem is I have exams on Tuesday, Thursday and Monday. So I'm not sure how much I'll be able to play this week...

Oh well. you're right. I like it where everyones armor is the same, it'd be too hard to balance.

speaking of which, I wish the game would only have one weapon for everyone, that way the game is completely about skill and not whoever has the rocket launcher/energy sword (HI HALO 2)

I'm busy everyday but all my free time will be used with this game. From midnight on to Tuesday afternoon, I plan to beat it on Heroic with a friend. Then we're going to play around with MP until I have to go to work.

Same here. Whatever free time I can spare will be spent beating the campaign.

I'd also like to get a group of people here on GAF together to eventually do co-op on legendary.
 
New Yorkers that want the game early should head down to the Wall Street area. There's a little store by the corner of Nassau Street and Fulton, right across the street from Wendy's. They should have the game in the afternoon.

Edit: This thread moves to fast so I'll repost it in the morning, or after I get my game. :D
 
So, after another day where I didn't get the chance to check in on this thread? Could anybody be so kind as to give me the Halo Thread recap of today?

Won't take long. First 2 days are all campaign. Next weekend is all multiplayer time.

By the way, anyone know if the corpse-humping physics been improved? :D
