xxjuicesxx said:So terrible update. Can we get an update on when playlists will be BR/AR starts?
DancingJesus said:I would of liked more reasoning behind why though.
kylej said:Damn, all those pointless words and no hint of what we'll get in the September Matchmaking Update? I'm on the edge of my seat here!
xxjuicesxx said:Plus hes making Grifball RANKED! The man is a fucking machine.
xxjuicesxx said:You really think there is going to be a September update when he exhausted himself by:
1. Using rehashed dbl exp playlists in August
2. Using other peoples maps and throwing them all in a playlist for 7.7 BvW.
3. Removing TWO WHOLE fusion coils from Valhalla
4. Reusing the 7.7 playlist for 8.7
Geez hes done SO MUCH and you just EXPECT a September update too?!
Plus hes making Grifball RANKED! The man is a fucking machine.
yes, who the fuck knows why. It's one of the low points in Halo 3 MM in my opinion.Tashi0106 said:That's really happening? Lol wow

Give him a break dude.kylej said:A noticeably low point? That's like swimming in a pool of turds and getting angry when a log hits you in the face.
Matchmaking is so hilarious. Shishka goes to Certain Affinity, runs back to the warm embrace of Bungie when he can't take a real work environment. Now he gets to yell at ForgeHub members and threaten to ban people from Atlas because they broke a rule he had in his head without fear of punishment.
Remember his excuse earlier this year when he said his devkit was taken away and that's why the monthly (once a month updates lmao) were so sparse? Forgetting the fact that their quality hasn't increased since, I think it's telling that the real employees have no problem getting equipment to do their job and that nobody noticed a change in his production :lol
When you hire Bungie.net forum moderators this is what you get, I guess.
This. My favorite film of the year.Tashi0106 said:Saw District 9...soooo good

I agree with this.OuterWorldVoice said:Here's a drink and a salute to Shishka, who is an imperfect man with a ridiculous resemblance to Lord British, but a hard working and thoroughly decent, talented chap, who should be applauded and communicated to, not berated.
Don't let the bastards grind you down.

God Microsoft blew it.
Didn't Star Trek come out this year?Dax01 said:This. My favorite film of the year.
I hear throwing money at them is an extremely effective way of getting them to create a movie.Scottish Dude said:Microsoft didn't blow anything. Blomkamp was awesome. Jackson is wonderful. District 9 is proof he could have made something spectacular. We wanted to work with him. It didn't work out for a plethora of reasons that weren't necessarily under our control.

I thought Star Trek was decent.Stormtrooper30 said:Didn't Star Trek come out this year?
Why would he be? Just get a tall enough person someone 6' 7"-11, have him never take off the helmet and keep Chiefs voice actor.Kuroyume said:Would Master Chief be CG?

OuterWorldVoice said:Ugh. Look, there are things in matchmaking I don't like. What I know for a fact is that some of those things other people love. Shishka puts himself visibly in the line of fire for a lot of hate based on purely subjective criteria to balance the matchmaking so that it appeals to a wide range of people with utterly different tastes - and even if you don't like say, Duality with AR starts, somebody else does - and that fact ensures that there are more people playing the variations you do like.
So even when "Shishka" has picked something you don't like, it's a net benefit for the size and range of population.
Making specific jabs at his work ethic, or perceived respect for the fanbase is a slippery slope. Even if you hate everything you play - Shishka loves the fanbase, loves Halo, has a thankless, difficult job that guarantees he can't please everyone ever, and he works super hard.
Shishka sucks, Ghetto Lord British, animated gifs - these are all fair game - but going after his professional ethic without any context beyond the subjective, is not useful.
Just bullet point list the things you hate - it is easier for someone in his position to digest than: YOU ARE TERRIBLE and will have more practical effect and benefit for the things you don't like.
And let's remember that this thread is one of the best, healthiest and most maturely productive in all of NeoGaf. We can keep it that way, even as we pick on Juices.
