I thinki anyone thats been playing since it came out understand what you are saying Blue, but look at it this way. Up until now they have been rather conservative with the changes to MM. Sure, it has come leaps and bounds from Day 1, but the way they seem to be doing things is incremental changes, month by month tweaks. Not much changes from month to month but if you add things up, they are quite drastic from how they seemed at the start.
Another reason I think is simply they have a winning formula right now. They do not need exotic playlist changes to keep the millions of players returning every week. These same millions are happy enough with the way things are, no matter GAF says, Bungie.net Forums say or anything. Every single person on every single message board is the vocal minority. For everyone one of us Halo fans that come on here, from MLG players to time restricted "casual" players, the simple fact that for every one of us there are dozens or more Halo player whose opinions we will never hear. We can never hear.
If every single Halo player from every single web community agreed and tried to petition Bungie on some kind of change, unless that data stacks up against the hard data Bungie collects, such veto stats, the duration players spend on the game on average, etc, it's unlikely to be implemented.
Time and time again we raise issues on here that we agree on for the most part, others give opinions that we may not all agree on, but the point of the matter is that we should expect to have our way and have things suits us.
The difficult parts, I think, for Bungie is PR. How to handle the voices so much vocal minorities, all claming to have their requests filled, especially difficult if it risks alienating the millions of players that might be satisfied the way things are but aren't heard at all.
Backflip, you pretty much nitpick every week some aspect of Halo online which you think is obviously broken, needs changing, regardless what was said before. You are an outstanding, vocal dude, you have my respect. But, to take a recent example, banning Elites? Bungie clearly said a long time ago this wasn't possible. They won't suddenly, down the line, come out and say, "Whoops, it is now possible and it will be done. Sorry." I actually think you come on here and vent like a crazy madman some times, right or wrongly. =P
I do think another hands on person, would help Shishka, but if that idea was viable, then it would have been done by now. Then again, thinking Shishka is locked up in room by himself with no contact with anyone, thinking up crazy ideas by himself without getting some great feedback from atleast another human being is also a bit silly. If Shishka were to get someone to help him, it would probally be best if it were a group of players from a few communities that fully understood the basic and advanced requirements of making changies to MM, but I do not see that happening as he would have to share sensitive data with these folks for them to make correct decisions and I do think that would be possible.
