The Official Halo 3 Thread

On the one hand, it's a separate "game", so it makes sense to have a separate thread.
On the other hand, it's billed as a final expansion of Halo 3, just for the campaign instead of MP. We don't have separate threads for each map pack (well, announcements but not discussion threads), so it makes sense that a campaign expansion would also get the same treatment.
And we all know we'll just end up in here after a few months anyways.
My thought is, do a "hype" thread ala Domino's suggestion once we approach an actual reveal, probably around E3. And let ODST discussion upon release trickle in here.
Of course, someone might make an official thread separately. Which is fine. FWIW, I have no plans to make one. I've done my damage already.

Well, once the buzz around the campaign and everyone in the world playing it has died down, the chatter will be exactly what's in here. How often do people talk about H3's campaign in here now, and if they do, presumably it's just 'hey, who wants to do an Annual/Mythic run'?

I was laughing as I saw vhfive get a double beatdown with the flag while running over to him, then he took me out and I saw him take out Timan too while I was dead. Four flag kills in a row, that was awesome.

lol...I've been playing on 10 for about a year straight now. I know, early on, I would just be all over the place with it. Just keep at it and you'll get used to it on some days. Yesterday I was playing and I had to check to make sure it was on 10 because it felt a little slow. It was freaky.

Speaking of pro jumps, I can get bottom to top gold on Guardian almost every time now. Still can't come close from S1 to S2/3 though :/Tashi0106 said:

If you're looking to try it, it should take just over an hour on your first go. Expect to shout a lot at one guy on your team for getting killed a lot or repeatedly driving into chasms.

I knew a guy who played Halo 2 on 10. It was like unheard of, at least to me, back in Halo 2. He was nasty. A nasty BR. Now he plays on 5 but he's still sick. His team just missed Semi-pro at meadows but they were last year.
