Question. Do the objects placed on top of other objects also shift, or just the ones on the bottom? It occurs to me that I didn't have any shifting issues on Centrifugal, and that might be because everyone was elevated or stacked. If that's the case, I have a way around the problem on the map I was working on (and deleted, whoops).

Dax: I'd edit your map name in the OP, but it's Eazy's list. Sorry.

Edit: you totally misunderstood the above post. But it's so cute - like a little kitten - that I'll edit just for you. Later tonight, that is.
 
why should anyone bother contributing to a GAF custom map list if the guy who runs the list is going to use it to play head games with people to buff his own ego? fucking pathetic

Some objects (the small broken column) do shift.

As for Narrows... I don't like it. It wouldn't be bad for a Rifle game in Slayer, since AR starts there are pretty bad. Guys sitting in the middle with Bubble and Rockets is also pretty boring. Spawns are another terrible issue, but alas.

Halo 3 doesn't have enough good symmetrical 4v4 CTF-style maps. The Pit I like, but other than that, it's pretty limited. Here goes to my Sandbox creation kind of helps out. :P

Here at Halo GAF we have a delicate system of checks and balances, much like any respectable organization. I have spent my time compiling a list of maps and when I feel the urge to produce some giggles I proceed to do so.

In the meanwhile there is already another list:

Prodding? I made one post about it... That's not prodding. I was being honest by saying that from the screens I've seen of his map that the name of the map is the least of his problems if he expects people to download it and enjoy playing on it. And in this case, names are not very important. I have only downloaded and played the maps on this list based on the screens and other people's reactions of how the maps play. I could care less if, for example, vhfive's map Sanctuary was named "Dax's Clubhouse." It looked really good from the screens he posted, and it got great feedback from other people here. Hell, I can't even tell you half of the names of the maps that I have played. If a shitty map has the best name in the world, I'm still not going to play it.
 
Well after two solid days of playing the new maps im already getting burned out on them. Assembly and Orbital are decent maps and I cant wait until they can be included in matchmaking in about 5 years. Sandbox default is atrocious though, map is way to wide open and seems like you have zero cover to stay alive. When you get an AR start you might as well just quit the game.

"Not trying to be mean, but you actually think people are going to play that map? Changing its name isn't going to even matter. The actual map needs to be changed."

He talks about a map's name, you prod lightly and talk about the map's gameplay inadequacies. Ok, so the advice might prove useful, but you're still not contributing anything he asked for.

The only way to contribute to what he is asking for is by becoming EazyB myself and changing the map's name on the list. This is impossible.

All I was doing was pointing out that the map needed more than a name change. Yes, I was giving advice. This is prodding?

You sir have peaked my interest I am now somewhat interested in the map formally known as Age of Empires.......well played.

Damn.

I'm on b.net a couple times a day, and I don't recall the players in the past 24 hours breaking a million since early 2008. Though mah memory isn't what it wasn in my spry youth.

Wizard (Halo 1 lawl) had overshield and camo didn't it? If my terrible memory serves me right there was an overshield in one of the corners up top and then the camo was on the opposite side of the map.
 
Right, I'm gonna have to pick this up... My 18 year old sister is playing it online, and haha, I gotta beat her. Been ages since we used to sit and play Goldeneye / Perfect Dark - how sad, I do miss playing computer games with my sis!

They're in Matchmaking now and will be required next month. Read the updates and don't be such a negative Nancy. :)

And yes, all of "the 9" were granted Recon for being good sports and being pawns in this feud.
 
WHile reading the update I was really expecting Joystick to win that first match on the borked Sandbox. When they got up 1-0. But apparently Shishka actually plays Halo and can own some fools.

HaloGAF customs tomorrow. Ghaleon, are you done with your new(est) map yet?
