It's really weird - I tried what urk said, and signed in with another account, and the maps loaded up instantly, then I sign in my main account, and was even able to play split screen on both accounts, so then I signed my second account out to play only with my main, and when I was about to start the playlist, it said I was missing the maps again...

So I signed in and out again started the playlist, got into a match, won, and then while just sitting in the lobby, it went back to saying that the maps were missing again, then it came back - weird...

We'll see what happens later if I turn my 360 off, but the moment I can play - thanks for the help CrazedArabMan & urk!

Now it looks like those random "player does not have maps" thing is causing me to get kicked back to the lobby whenever I find a match with all the other players - and when I restarted my 360, I have the same problem all over again - what the hell...

The only way I can play is if I again sign in a second account, then sign it back out again... guess I have to call Microsoft tomorrow...

Yeah, after it kicked me back three times in a row, I called it quits - just gonna call MS tomorrow...

Oh well, I was kicking ass in the matches I played tonight aside from the one loss, and I got to know Orbital - it's a surprisingly complex map, at least the first couple of time playing it...

Ugh, my sandbox map really sucks.

I'm going to scrap it and try and make a new one in the crypt. Reading some guide at MLG, I think I can plan better.

EDIT: I'll try tweaking the map first to try and balance things out

The concept isn't that bad at all, its just way too open for safe spawning.
 
Before I build something too ambitious, I started working on this, for practice. :lol

Maybe Bungie are really, really busy with their new games to implement new changes to their matchmaking system. Or they're probably waiting for the Mythic Maps to roll out on the Marketplace so they can implement all the changes at once.

I got bored and did some fooling around, which resulted in a little picture I'd like to dub, Super Elite. Goku has nothing on this guy. Will post the artistic brilliance as soon as I upload the picture.

You're right. They are so busy they have time to add double exp weekends.

The spawn arrows on the outer walkway need to face to the side so that when folks spawn and move forward, they don't walk over the edge.

still need to do the plains section with rocks on both sides, add ceilings to all bases, make getting out of the map impossible, and create spawns and objective placement.

RE. Stormtrooper

It's a very open-ended map, if the sniper rifle were to be on the map, there wouldn't be a lot of cover from the sniper.
 
vhfive: Hot, hot, hot. If I could make one suggestion it's bump up the lighting. Other than that if Bungie doesn't add some of these "Remakes" into Matchmaking it would be a crime.

You here me Bungie, add a "Remake Team Games" playlist in three to six months for all this Sandbox goodness. Or you know, just a "Best of Sandbox" playlist. ^_^

I wanted something similar to this back when Foundry first came out. A Halo 2 Dbl Exp Weekend of all the best H2 remakes on Foundry. I guess they could do a Foundry/Sandbox H2 remake weekend! That would be sick.

So all you have to do Shiska is look around for the best remakes and use typical Slayer/Slayer BR settings and just make sure you cant glitch any of the maps.
 
Having spent the past two days playing killzone I already see an area I'd love to see bungie copy in their next game. Super simple, but... add bungie.net right into the game.

Being able to pull up killzone.com (and only killzone.com) and look at stats in-game is a brilliant idea. "Why didn't we think of that?!" I mean it's not like we aren't already connected to the web right? Of course, requiring a flash-player plugin not readily installed (GUERILLA!) not so smart! :lol

That's looking excellent, Vh.

And Merguson, the map layout itself wasn't too bad at all, dude. It was just the spawns that were on the small walkways around the center facing toward an empty abyss that were creating all the problems and, eventually, lulz. The added pieces are looking pretty damn good, though. ;)
 
I understand it may not be within Bungie's "vision" of their game, but unless you promote the community and include, if your software allows it, their created content you will find people becoming tiresome of your product and therefor, your brand.

It is obviously possible with stress tested levels, multiple Foundry devoloped levels have appeared in Ranked and Social playlists. If it were in a Social Playlist, with a disclaimer warning players of the nature of the games they are about to play then I don't see why it couldn't happen. I'm not saying Bungie uploads every map ever onto their server. Just a best twenty or something and every six months they can change the roster. Each created map would have a list of possible variants and you go from there.

I have no idea about the devolopment process of a video game and I don't even try to make it sound like I do. I'm just a boy with a dream. An especially old boy.
 
No I'm asking him to choose between sex and Halo THREE. As far as I know sex has not been upgraded to include high-def graphics and enhanced weapon systems.

Love seeing all these maps come together. I've been taking shots of this map as it progressed, which I didn't do for the last. Thought it was interesting seeing the evolution.

Basically, a map with two levels, both designed for vehicles and infantry. About 95% done, then spawns and objectives to wrap up. Hoping to finish tomorrow. At the least, it's pretty fun to cruise around in right now.

And we had a chance to briefly play a lot of the GAF maps so I'll try to give a quick synopsis of what I thought and what I gather everyone else thought. Constructive criticism mostly.

Ghaleon, it's far to easy to fall off your map. There was a hilarious 30 seconds when I spawned, took a step forward and fell right off the map, then 5 seconds later my teammate fell off, followed by the next member of my team, until finally we were all waiting for our suicide timer to reset. The entire map could use some railings because of how narrow it is. Your new map looks really interesting, I like the progress screens.

GM Bullfrog - Your map was pretty playable, and I kinda get the sense you were working towards making a very vertically focused map, but I think it was a tad too vertical. It felt like there were just an abundance of mountains that one could choose to ascend or stay way below on the ground. It made it so the map didn't flow very well.

Grimm - I know you're well aware of how easy it is to break out of your map but it's still just too easy to jump up on top of the walls and walk around the entire map like that. It'd be a lot of work but if you could use walls as flooring for the elevated area and saved the blocks to be used as buildings it may play a lot better. Nice attention to detail though.

I remember reading a Bungie weekly update about Shiska or Urk or insertnamehere playing the pre-build of ODST and making the dubious comment of 'hey, i die faster. wut?'. This lead to the reply by some random person insertnamehere that because you're not master chief the projectile damage inflicted upon you is increased.

So, that got me thinking. If you take more damage, the damage you inflict should be less if you were to say... punch something? I asked a question inquiring about the ODST's ability to perform master cheif's Gravity Defying Translocating Elbow Thrusts. A simple question really. Never got an answer.

I guess we'll never know, but don't blame Bungie. Considering the important stuff they are doing; weekly updates, double exp updates, handing out free halo wars codes, gaming website interviews. It fills my heart knowing that they care <3

MLG missed the deadline for submitting their matchmaking changes. That's all.

To be honest, v6 isn't exactly a revolutionary set of changes, is it? A couple of boxes on The Pit and a crappy new Foundry map.
 
So, who has Macally Clucken in their File Share that I can download? I thought the map was pretty decent. Especially the Secret Box part.

That looks fantastic. I was wondering what the scale was like, but it looks pretty much perfect with that Spartan in the background.

Really good job, can't wait to see the finished product.

Also, how's your building costs going? Will you have enough for everything?
 
I can't believe how awful Tundra is for SWAT. The sightlines are terrible. Why is it even there?

Almost everything else in the playlist is awesome though. Apart from AR start objective games, obviously. Can't wait to play more Sandbox in 6v6 or 8v8.

i know two dudes on my team quit right at the beginning of the game. the other team had 2 guys at each base. so we would spawn in the middle. i spent half the game on death screen.
no joke my average life was 5 sec

in other news sanctuary will be done by tonight. i going to finish it when i get back from work today.
 
Wow. Look at all these awesome maps. Sorry that I wasn't there to play any of them last night, I guess I woke up to early to play the maps so I was quite tired.

Maybe tonight? Would love to play all of these maps.
